I have a two week old profile I would like to delete. However, I can't log into it, to delete it.
There was a problem with it from the beginning: I would complete the "About Me" data, and within 30 minutes that section would "self-delete." All else was left intact. I re-entered the data many times, then I gave up.
I came back to the site, but found there was no way I could email Plenty of Fish about this problem, without a profile. So, I made a quickie profile, hoping to email Markus. I went to the "Help" section, looking for the webmail form, but the form does not appear.
Now that I have a profile again, I've searched for the old bio and yes, it IS still here. | |

Go to the old profile and report it as a duplicate and in the reason box, state that it is an old one of yours and select "Delete profile" | |

That problem is on your machine. Clear your cache and reboot. Then scan for viruses. Your profile reads fine from here. | |

I was told that my marital status shows on my profile as "living together". I checked my profile edit page and my marital status is listed as "single", in the drop down list. I clicked the update button and no change. I went back to the profile edit page, and changed my marital status to "divorced". Again clicked the update button and still no change.
How do I fix this? | |

It's showing divorced - refresh your browser page.

Really? You've mentioned m y s p a c e and you also have repeated characters (!!!!).
You don't have to keep re-composing your entire profile if you compose it in Notepad or something similar. | |

you would be well served to learn to do a thread search (see the faq). searching "sent mail" or "sent message" would have led you to the answer.
alternatively, reading the faq would have done the same thing.

if you follow the instructions provided, you should be able to send mail. so there will be no need to delete your profile and create a new one.
if you like, you can test it out on me. i have no restrictions whatsoever. if that mail doesn't go through, there is something in your content that is preventing it. | |

Posted: 6/29/2009 9:40:56 PM | Hello, After reading the thread about how to write your profile I realized I need to change mine A LOT. Well, I have tried and tried. I have uploaded another pic that you can see in my images but wont show on the profile, my headline will appear to change then when I refresh or leave the page and come back it has reverted back to the old one. I have tried changing one section at a time and even 1 sentence at a time and it does not take. I am hitting the update button, I have checked cookies and done everything I have read here. I have no phone numbers, email addys or web links. Oh and I am adding a little and mostly trying to delete. Help!!!  | |

All looks fine, I saved changes and did clicked public and all that. When I go to view the new pics are not there and the deleted ones still are. I go back to images and the deleted are there and new are not. I have tried using both ways to upload. I am at a loss unless there is a review period and I just cant tell they are under review. I appreciate any and all help. | |

I tried to update my profile and everytime I update it, it seems to go back to my old profile. I am really getting tired of having to type these over and over when all its doing is going back to the old one. Same goes with my interests and I also changed my thing from Friends to Dating and it went right back to Friends. My new interests are not posted and my old profile is still up, when it did say my profile was updated...Am I the only one having this problem? Are you certain you are clicking on the "Update Profile" link right below your first date section?

If they post in the forums just look above their name and you will see date joined:
EX - on yours Joined: 8/5/2009
Other than that the best you could do is look at the URL Associated with their account and see what the number is.
ex http://www.plentyoffish.com/memberXXXXXX.htm
Then you could compare that to someones profile that you know the date they joined and you cold get a rough idea. | |
