Come on - get real!!!! Breast are indeed sexual and I for one hope they always remain sexual and tantalizing to men!! I don't want men to get immune to the sight of them!!! I have quite enjoyed that aspect of my adult sexual appeal to men!!! I would hate to take my top off for my husband and not have him be stimulated by the site of me - because he saw a multitude of naked breasts in the streets - making him immune to the desire for them!!!!! I like my breasts - I am indeed proud of them and even my curvy body - I learned to love myself a very long time ago - just the way I am! That's not to say I want everyone within my view to see me topless!! I have self respect and I will always have self respect NOT to show my breasts in public!! Simply NOT dignified!!

I must have stayed too long at the rally because my buddys left without me and I had no ride back home...lol
I was too far away to see much anyways......there was nothing much to write home about other than I was there !!!!

Its completely natural. We nurse them on them as youngsters. Allot of cultures don't think anything of it. The only reason kids might think its bad is if they are taught it's bad.

We were alll raised to dress properly... which also included women not wearing low cut tops at school, work and/or cultured events. There is still such rules at places of employment, enjoyment and school. I look at the example of leather jackets being ban in certain establishments - leather jackets are symbolic of a negative environment - apparently. In north america topless women are usually envisioned as those who work in strip joints...... we haven't got over that way of thinking yet.
So, given that, we are metally trained to believe being topless is a moral demerit. The purpose of that woman protesting had nothing to do with morals we were brought up with.
In truth, when I watched her on the news one day, my first thought was that she had no legitimate reason for her demand other than it being a gender war - in her mind. The fact that most women are still covering their breasts during those "unbarable" hot days is a true testament of how important the issue isn't.
I believe we should let the women decide what they want to do and then accept it. If they are topless as a means to "flaunt their sexuality" there are laws against that. But, those who go topless simply as a preference should have that choice. | |

I agree that breasts are meant for pleasure as well as for nursing your child. I do agree with women having the right to bare them, although I would disagree with seeing someone walking downtown like that.
I have to disagree with Leannes statement about having dignity and couth tho. It has nothing to do with that at all. If someone is respectful enough to find a secluded spot to sunbath topless, by all means go ahead. I know that I had enough common sense and self respect and the respect of others around me to cover up or turn over if need be.
That being said, it's a wonderful and free feeling to sunbathe topless in the proper place of course and I would do it again no problem. Plus you get an awesome even tan!

If a woman wants to go bare breasted, in Ontario, she can do so when ever she wants and by doing so or not doesn't mean she is less respectful of her body or any other person. It just means she is not so inhibited about her body.
Because I am lucky and don't have to wear tons of makeup to feel good about myself no tans lines work for me.

If the frequent sight of other women's breasts would turn you man off of yours... well then I'd look in the mirror... If it were possible for that to happen, why do guys flock to Mardi Gras to get flashed?? Give me a break! Seeing breasts and being able to touch, caress and other fun activities with breasts are two different things...
Trust me - if your guy thinks you are hot... he could have seen other women's breasts all day, thousands of them, but when you take your top off - he knows THOSE breasts are his... he'll be turned on.

mayor - is there a law against how short paris' skirt can be? seems to me no cop is approaching her when she wears a head band for bottoms.
it is an issue of dignity but not one's own. i see no shame in shakin' what your mama gave you. i believe it is an issue of maintaining the dignity of those around you. a time and a place for everything so to speak - a public beach not being one of them FOR ME. i fully support the choice of other women to do as they wish i just heed the warning that it may bother others. if there reaction is "i don't give a damn if it bothers others" more power to them.
