| Mike Keenan behind the bench in Calgary Posted: 12/2/2007 11:54:18 AM | Keep Mike Keenan in Calgary. Give him 3 or 4 years to make a difference there.
Of course, I am writing from Vancouver. We had our run with Iron Mike. He took a talented, underperforming team and in a year it was neither. With Iron Mike all those good Calgary players will be cheap on the free agent market because they will have terrible stats. If he gets a chance to trade players he will do the sort of thing he did here and everywhere else - like trading Luongo for Bertuzzi. The trades he made here weren't that bad, but they were pretty bad.

| Mike Keenan behind the bench in Calgary Posted: 12/16/2007 9:23:24 PM | "nice to see Ignila picking it up a little"
Picking it up a little ...are you kidding? The guy has been the Flames best player this year. (not just in their current road success). He has 21 goals already...On pace for a 50 plus goal year and will top 100 points most likely. He is already at 44 points in 33 games played. Never mind pick it up a little for Iggy, he has been there in a huge way for the majority of the season to date. Add to his scoring stats that he is their best fore checker, power play man and he fights too when he needs to stand up for his team, Iggy is hands down done more than "picking it up a little" as you state.
Phaneul and Langkow are having strong years as well.
Kipper looks shaky and has let some weak goals in. His goals against is high and last time i looked his save percentage was below 900 at abou .890% not stats he is accustomed too.
