But isn't that the male dream. To marry someone who is younger, and drop dead beautiful. To show off how great he is by making others jealous. I mean, I'm not talking down about guys, but it is what soceity views as the perfect dream.
As for women, I know they look for people who can take care of them. And in order to get the life they want they have to pay ALOT of attention to their apperance.

I am too independent and self confident and very physically attractive so I couldn't settle for that. I can earn my own money. So there is nothing an older man can offer than I can't either get on my own or find in a man my own age (or younger).

A real Trophy Wife is the one who is beautiful and warm hearted and decent lady that any man would be proud to have by his side, could count on her to stand by him thru the hardest of times and trust her with his very life and is not necessarily the most young and nubile!

Okay, I realize that I am a nearly extinct American breed- the DAR Southern girl who went to cotillion on Fridays, can work her way competently through a receiving line, knows a seafood fork from a salad fork.... Was taught the emotional exchange balancing health insurance, and botox, and I understand this in the same context as say an arranged marriage between Asian Indians or Muslims. I was raised to do this, I just didn't.
And I would have to say that if the arrangement of marriage was suitable to both partners, then let it ride. My experience is that these marriage often fare well, even if not my personal cup of tea.
And trust me, a lot of money is spent grooming women to become "trophy wives". | |

i think in life getting by on what u have is important wether it be looks,intelligence,family money or just plain dumb luck. some people simply are not smart , to say that all not so smart people shouldnt be able to get by on different things isnt very nice to them,they probably already deal with a great deal of disrespect due to their lack of intelligence.
some men will support a woman in order to make all their friends jealous and some women will take on the role as mrs dutyfull house wife for finanical security; both are adults and no one is getting "duped". | |

Of course they fit well into a sports car, who wouldn't if they havn't had a life yet, and whose to say she would want kids with the old man, maybe she married him for his house and money and when he is gone she can find a nice man to have kids with, someone her own age.

I think you need to read up on the definition of "racist". As far as I am aware, men do not change from one race to another when we get older. (ok, apart from possibly Michael Jackson).
Or are you saying young women & older women are different races? At what age do they change from black to white, or vice versa? latino to asian?

I was a Trophy Wife to my ex husband (1st wife). He was a successfull corporate pilot and he envisioned the way he wanted his life to be. That included a wife that dressed a certain way, looked a certain way, maintained herself at all times, and was the ideal perfect wife.
This, of course, wasn't what I wanted for MY life. I became this as his responsibility with work became more evident.
Anyways I don't want to tell my life story here, but we started out as two poor young kids. We didn't have a status to uphold. So, sometimes it is forced upon and by no one's control..... it just happens.
My ex is remarried and his (2nd wife) is now another Trophy Wife. She is older then me. Some women will conform and some wake up and smell the coffee. Hope this is some help to you!  | |
