| why lie about being an outdoor person ??? Just be Dull !!!!!
Posted: 5/16/2008 10:15:57 AM | I dont lie on my profile....I LOVE THE OUTDOORS! But you probably wont find me climbing a 14'r either...lol. Never saw the appeal in that one...
I do however love to camp, horseback ride on some good trails, boating, fish, hunt, yard work, picking wildflowers, sporting events (baseball, football, etc), picnicing in a meadow, would rather BBQ then cook in a kitchen, and go four-wheeling. Just to name a few....
There is probably more I would enjoy also but havent had the chance to experience yet as no one has given me the idea....lol. I am game to do just about anything once so ask me I might suprise ya. I grew up on an island on the east coast and back there everything is done outdoors....of course there is no snow. Oh yeah I dont like to shovel snow...lol. In the part of Colorado I live in it would be hard not to enjoy the outdoors as there is so much to do....and try here. We truly are God's country if you ask me!
So like the other poster said...ask what they like to do outdoors..... | |

Posted: 6/3/2008 6:13:56 AM | I've found that (not all) but so many people find it really easy to hide behind a computer monitor and "be whoever they want"!! The truth always comes out,...usually sooner than later. I don't get it (the lies or deceit part),....... why not be upfront about who you are,.... what you look like,... I mean cummon,...it is what it is. Your time may not be important, but how about respecting others!
And to all those of you who ARE real and upfront about it,......THANKS!! :) | |

I might on occasion wander around the mountains but rarely and I'm not much for being in the sun but it just seems as if everyone on the Colorado side of things are into the outdoos, where are the dull people? I don't think I'm dull because I don't camp, hike, etc but I'm also not a couch bum either, there are plenty of things like theater, plays, art shows, walking around neighborhoods or driving around looking at the beautiful houses in down town Denver and I could think of a hundred other things that are not hiking/mountain related. :) | |

Posted: 9/9/2009 1:49:04 AM | I understand what you mean, I think that doing things up in the mountains is dull, even though I dont mind driving through the mountains and just soaking up the scenery, I think that actually spending time, doing stuff, is so hard, and such a hassle. Someone asked me one day if I lived under a rock, I told him that I had managed to digg a hole in the rock and that it is now my cave. Maybe at somepoint people loose their sense of Fight or Flight, and manage to dovote as much time as possible in the outdoors becuase it make them feel that they have conquered the wild. I personally like denver because of the thin air and supper low humidity. Why do you live here?

Posted: 9/15/2009 10:27:25 AM | I have one better - why do men reply to women who have that they enjoy hiking and camping in their profile if they don't? That cuts both ways. I love hiking and being outside and have had more than one response by men who were couch potatoes or who physically can't anymore.
Usually I do the easy let down and say...' I really love hiking and can tell by your profile that this isn't something that you enjoy... so perhaps we aren't a match.' | |
