| Nascar 2005 Posted: 7/9/2005 10:29:36 AM | budman......JR has to get over the fire in his car to overcome the jitters ....then....he WILL return as his daddy's son....right now he is spooked that it will happen again and can't bring himself to drive the way he knows he can...gradually he is getting more and more comfortable at the wheel...it just takes time......
My guy is Elliott Sadler the M & M car...I have his NASCAR leather jacket....and the M & M car when Kenny Schrader drove it...Wal-Mart is always out of Sadler by the time I get there.....

| Nascar 2005 Posted: 7/10/2005 5:03:47 PM | Of course nascar drivers are trouble makers and renegades, this is a sport that was started by moon shine runners. The bump drafting 10 years ago was "real" bump drafting, the cars where built better then, banging doors was real and exciting. Now they can barely touch each other and their car is damaged to much to compete.
By the way, My favorite driver Dale Jr. WON today at chicagoland!!!!!

| Nascar 2005 Posted: 7/18/2005 10:29:55 AM | | I think its safe to say that rubbin was racin long before there was a Dale Earnhardt. His dad would also say he came up having to rub to race. Just because a really bad movie coined the line, it was a reality in the days of real drivers like Fireball Roberts and Curtis Turner. | |

| Nascar 2005 Posted: 7/24/2005 5:13:19 PM | Very true,....as a lil child my dad raced the midgets ...stock and modified Stocks.....and they did everything to get to the finish line....
I do wish they would place some new rules though....such as after you have wrecked both ends of the car...it must be inspected to get back on the track...todays race Michael Waltrip wrecked and came back and nearly took out half the track of racers because his car was not fit to be on the track.....ALSO...I would like to see them do away with the get one lap back thing....IF they do not pass the leader of the race I don't think they should get it....it should be earned not given....what do you think??????????????

| Nascar 2005 Posted: 5/14/2006 8:45:33 AM | | Man, I love the way everyone's memory in here goes all the way back to Dale Earnhardt. In the days of the Flock Brothers, Red Byron, even as late as Harry Gantt, Earnhardt would have simply been another driver on the track, win a few, lose a few. You have to remember, Nascar far predated all the pretty boys and their IROC styled look-alike cars. | |
