The most subtle I can get is if you add me to your favourites. Even then, it might be a while if I don't look.

I can't speak for all guys here, but some of us are actually just looking for a decent conversation. You've seen the profile once or twice, I've seen your profile once or twice, and maybe I've sent you a quick email. The least a woman could do is write back and explain she laughing at what a CHUD-beast I am.
I mean, seriously. I'd laugh with them, if only for the movie reference.
The OP has hit the mark of something I found myself being bothered with just last night. But then I realized that if they aren't responding to my emails, then maybe they can't hold a decent conversation. And seeing how that's really what I am wanting, I'm not gonna get all bent out of shape over a handful of messages without responses.

The reason I posted because there is a young lady who keeps looking and doesn't message. I'm up here max, 3 times a week now. She keeps looking and I can't contact her due to her restrictions. I was hoping in her seemingly routine visits to my profile she would contact me. So far it hasn't worked!
Put her on YOUR favorites list. She must/should know that she has geographic restrictions placed on who can contact her. If she's a smart girl, she will add you to HER favorites so that the two of you can then communicate. I just did that with someone recently. He couldn't contact me because he's out of my geographic area. He added me to favorites, I added him and viola.
Contact.
Edit: Grrrrr.... Why when I edit something do my quote boxes ALWAYS change and then not work when they were fine the first time! | |

But i think its annoying especially when they are cute ones, or ones who dont reply to your msg but still perv/peek for days on end lol.

If I see a man that captures my eye, I'll take a peek. Doesn't mean I'll contact you. I also look at who views me, while it's interesting, most don't contact me, nor do I contact them. If one wants to contact me, we'll go from there. | |

Sometimes I am worried that he hasn't listed dancing as an interest and so maybe he wouldn't like my favorite thing to do. so I may go back a few times and think about it. I also sometimes put him in favorites knowing he will see it. that way if he is interested, he might write me. you would think emailing someone would be easier than meeting at a restraunt or bar but it't not. you still get brushed off or not answered so it is a way to kind of break the ice. | |

Posted: 7/5/2007 2:29:47 PM | I think "viewing" doesn't mean a thing, you can actually turn off that feature so if you view somebody it won't show up on their viewed me list. I turn it off myself, it just gives people the wrong idea, which I think happened to the OP, he thought it meant something.
I like to use the favorites list, and I'll add somebody I like, sometimes a few ladies so I don't have to run through a whole search again. I've never been one for initiating contact though, so sometimes I'll leave them on my list until I workup enough nerve to contact them or think of something to say.
Now on the other side of the coin, the ladies who added me to their favorites might be thinking the same thing, but I know being added to a girls favorite list means they wouldn't mind being contacted.
So to the OP, you have like 60 favorites, which is extremely high for a guy on this website, so why don't you contact one of them? And to the ladies here, if your interested, add a guy to your list, if he hasn't contacted you for a week or so, it's probably because he's not interested. Then feel free to remove him. Seems like a painless method to me, unlike the read/deleted email first contact where you might have actually put some thought into it. | |

Posted: 7/6/2007 10:31:30 AM | ...unfortunately this website has a few nagging design problems, the VIEWED ME feature being no exception. Anybody using this site for a while would probably agree. It is VERY misleading. If you click a link that says "Viewed Me", I'd go out on a limb and guess that most users would reasonably expect to see who's viewed them, beginning with most recent first at the top of the page. You don't expect the very first list you look at (the top row) to mean something else - as in yes, this person has viewed you at one time in the past and is now/were recently online. Or whatever. Yeah, I know there's a brief, confusing instruction shown there - but that's beside the point...
...I mean, I doubt we'd even have this thread if this feature worked as expected. And after reading some of the posts here, it would seem it has caused a little grief to some users unaware that the whole time they've been thinking people have been viewing them over and over, the fact remains they probably have not.

The musician thing might scare some women. I have had 2 long term relationships with musicians and both had serious issues with fidelity and honesty. I click on some guys on several occasions because something about their photo appeals to me and than I think hey I've been here before. I would notice that you are 32 and think to myself I sure do wish I was still 30.
To really answer your question I'm getting tired of contacting guys to find out they are only looking for sex so I let them read my profile and if they contact me I would hope they are on the same page of life as I am becasue it is pretty clear in my profile.

Posted: 7/28/2007 10:28:40 AM | I know the difference between the top line and the next lines..but I have noticed this past week several have looked at my profile again and wonder why....did they forget what I said or what I looked like, are they interested but shy......well who knows and at this point I have come to be here just for the forums....I have messaged people who want what I want, umm no reply...I have emailed back to men who have msgd me first, umm no reply...I have let people know that I have viewed them, umm no reply...have seen people on my favs or have voted me a 7 or better,,umm no reply.....this is all very interesting and I am not complaining just actually laughing at this whole thing.....
So for now I will post on the forums and let people view me.....but if they really want to know me then they need to message me with something interesting...
