| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/17/2007 5:41:38 AM | lakegirl age and maturity don't go hand in hand. Older people act like 12 year olds too. Just look at me | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/19/2007 6:06:42 AM | John,,i love your sense of humor! I wouldnt call it immaturity by a long shot!
As far as cradle robbing,,,,,the youngest i have dated was 5 years younger than me. I dont think i could date anyone in their 20's , but wew,,some of them young'ns are sure nice to look at tho! lol

| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/20/2007 10:25:44 AM | hey everybody - john, margie, rip, michkat....Seems like a new trend that younger men are wanting to go out with older women....at least I've been seeing that first-hand just recently. Last Fri. night, Margie and I were out and about at a couple of my local hangouts and this hot ,fine looking man was flirting with me majorly....I about did a double-take to see if there was a youngin behind me....lol nope, this guy is only 36 and you talk about making this gal feel good about herself - wow.......margie even said I was blushing at one point - she told me your face got so red........lmao......anyways, I have the age perimeter set for men age 49 to 59, but honestly, younger men than 49 have been approaching me alot lately. Don't totally understand why but hey, what the heck, it sure makes for a fun evening of flirting.......not that I would do that much.......he he he ....... ~~cherbaby | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/22/2007 4:42:29 PM | Dunno, one would think that men who are looking for older women are having a "mommy" problem?
In human psyschology, the idea of pursuing older women does not seem natural IMO.
But too, maybe I am the exception and not the norm?
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/24/2007 2:42:33 AM | Geez, I just had a 27 year old try to get a meet with me, said he had sex with a 60 year old. OMG I didn't know what to say to him. Choke Choke. LOL . I certainly couldn't meet anyone under 45. Any guy under 45 is to young for me, just wouldn't feel comfortable with it. I guess we all have our ideas and preferences though, and I don't judge anyone. If they are both agreeable than it is their choice. As long as they are happy with it. I just couldn't do it though. Just my opinion on the subject. Margie | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/25/2007 7:19:50 AM | | I agree!! I have come to a point in my life where I now find women my age or older more attractive than a younger woman. Just happened one day, not sure when. But I don't care one way or the other.....you are cute and fun, I like you, simple as that. | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/25/2007 10:32:51 PM | Just turning 29 and I've set the under at around 24, but the over around 40. I'm sure shows like Sex in the City and whatnot have started to turn young men into older women.
There is something desirable about a person with experience who has seen it all a thousand times. Who isn't going to put up with bullshit and knows what they want out of life. If you have to pick between the young 21 year old who still has the mentality of a 16 year old, and a 30-40 year old women who has been around the block a few laps, the older women tends to be the better choice. Less bull to deal with, and an enjoyable time.

| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/25/2007 11:31:00 PM | robby, that might be nice for you now but what about when you are 50 and the woman is 70 how are you going to feel then. You really do need to look at the long haul. Margie | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/26/2007 6:04:31 PM | | This is true, but thats the good thing about opinions , they change over time. The idea of when I was 21 and dating someone who was only 17 was WAY out of the question. I mean at 50 I might prefer woman who are in their mid 20s for their spritely energy. Then again I almost might go for the 70 year old who is settled down and just wants to watch life pass by. Ya never know, but right now at near 30, my range is pretty open. | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/27/2007 5:25:39 AM | Margie,,,,i had mentioned about my Aunt (she's 63) marrying her guy who is younger than me (he is 38) in an earlier post. I was thinking too,,,,,' o lord whats going to happen when she's 70 and he's 45??'. LOL But then again,,,,dont men sloww downnnn as they get older? Maybe my Aunt will be chasing HIM and he'll be the one taking naps! LOL | |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 7/28/2007 12:53:54 PM | It all sounds a bit... mercenary.
I'm not suggesting this is a female thing (though a lot of the postings here lean that way) but do I have this right? You look for a young guy to "have fun" with. But when you want more stability, maturity, financial security, conversation, intellectual companionship, etc. you go for a guy your age or older?
If so, I guess this just confirms a stereotype for both males and females. It just sounds like we're admitting women do this as much or more than men do. I keep thinking of those female teachers and young students stories we see so much in the news now.
It also would seem to make a guy who dates women his own age or a little older a sucker. Is that what all of these women who love to email, talk on the phone, maybe meet for dinner or some cultural event but never move toward romance are really up to? They have a young guy on the side for "fun and games" or something?
So maybe guys here should either radically lower or radically raise their age range for searches here? Perhaps we need a "donut" feature for age range with a hole in the middle, so we can leave out those in a 10 to 15 year range centered on our own age? Hmm.

| Cradle robbers? Posted: 8/1/2007 9:25:06 PM | Ok, Im over 40 and dateing a man over 20 years younger than myself. Like many of the other womens post , I noticed that Im getting more hitts from younger men than men my age. So, I just said, What The Hell. After chatting for a few weeks we set up a meet and greet that went very well and thus decided to continue seeing each other but with conditions. We both knew it wouldnt work in the long haul so we agreed to date only for the summer, thus eliminateing someone being the one to "End It ". Well, Its going great. He makes me laugh, Theres no expectations, And the sex is great. He is so eagar to please....And he does everything I ask him too and most of what I tell him,Lol. Its kinda refreshing haveing a lover that dosent claim to know it all and isnt afraid to ask what feels good or what to do for me next. We keep it simple, Dont go around faimly or friends and dont go to very public places where we will be stared at. Will I do it again ??? No, Probably not...But only cuz I know I need to date someone I can settle down with. But, Im glad I did, Im haveing fun....and no regrets. Best of all....I know hes going to remember me for a very, very long time. | |

| Cradle robbers? Posted: 8/5/2007 11:44:05 AM | All I can say is... oof!
Can you imagine the reception a guy posting that here with genders reversed would get?
So you have a young toy for sex but with a sunset on it. In the meantime you're looking for a daddy to settle down with for security and comfort. Gosh, how attractive. Hold me back!
| |
| Cradle robbers? Posted: 8/5/2007 5:04:52 PM | Dont put words in my mouth. I never said he was just a "Sex Toy".... You overlooked the part about how he makes me laugh and theres no expectations. Our agreed upon " Sunset " is because he wants a faimly and I already have one. And I never mentioned anything about looking for a "Daddy " or security..... I already have both. I am looking for exactly what I found......he just happens to be younger. Leave it to a Old Fud Dud like you to make it sound unattractive. P.S. My Mailbox Is Always Full....How Bout Yours ???? | |
