I'm glad I'm not the only one  !
I thought it weird that I kept getting signed out all the time when I went to a new page and I don't seem to be able to send or reply to mail sometimes, but as long as its all in hand, cool!
Respect to the folks running the site and long may they continue to be as helpful as they are.

| Profiles that auto delete

Despite creating a new account, with a new username, and a new email address, on a different browser, on a different computer, writing a profile with no URLs in it... STILL the profile I create gets deleted. I'd just found a lovely girl I was writing to too. I'm getting seriously fed up :( | |

Log in and then cannot log out or log in and then go to click inbox and have to login again...
Then to check profile have to log in....after already logging in...
Example logged in went to inbox had to log in again then deleted some messages clicked delete and had to log in again...then when I got into inbox again messages still there.
Have cleared browser, cookies and temporary files ,do that daily and every time I leave this site........

The Admin recently made some Changes in Respect to Login Timeout Issues.

Posted: 10/21/2008 1:09:53 PM | | This is a long shot but you should check your system date/time and make sure it's current. I've seen issues where the web application uses your system datetime in it's program logic. If your system datetime is in the past then it won't let you create something that is in the past. Also, POF has a very short timeout so by the time you're done doing your thing, your login is already expired. | |

When he tried to login in to forums he could not as well. When you type his name in user search nothing comes up, so it does not say account was closed or deleted. He also has his profile set to private so it normally would not show up. When I googled his user name it comes up in google stating Online Now and then the first line of his profile. This means nothing if what you're looking at is an out of date cached version of the page.
It sounds like his profile has been deleted. To find out for sure, log in to your own profile and enter the URL of his account into the address bar. (You can get it off the Google cached page if you don't already have it.) If his profile still exists, it will appear for you as long as you're logged in. If it doesn't show up, the profile is gone.
When you type his name in user search nothing comes up, so it does not say account was closed or deleted.
Profiles deleted by Admin won't show any kind of entry on a User Search. | |

Posted: 10/22/2008 1:55:49 PM | If the old account has been deleted, he can make a new account with the same name as long as someone else hasn't used it in the meantime.
As to why it was deleted, only Admin would know the reason, and he ain't telling. You may be able to figure it out yourself by checking the Frequently Asked Questions at the top of this forum. In there you'll find a list of known reasons profiles get deleted. | |

Result of Cookies not enabled. Delete your Cookies and Temporary Internet Files too.

I am attempting to login to my profile that i created last night, however every time i try to login in i get looped back to the login page.
i have tried to use Firefox/3.0.1 with and without the I.E Tab for firefox as well as Google Chrome 1.0.154.43 as well as Safari Version 3.2.1 (525.27.1) for my browsers, but none of them will log me in. i also get the samething when using opera mini on my cellphone.
i have done a manual search for the profile and it is found and appears to be active, i could use it last night/early this morning, but now. | |

That happens when you enter an incorrect password. Have you tried getting your password sent to you to make sure you're remembering it (and entering it) correctly? | |

Posted: 1/27/2009 11:44:27 PM | If you've tried several different browsers, and you can't log in to either your profile or the forums, the most likely possibility is usually that you're entering something incorrectly when you try to sign in.
Make sure the name you're entering is exactly as it appears on the profile. I know it sounds obvious, but I've seen people insist they're entering the correct name when they really aren't. Copy and paste it off the profile to be sure.
Sometimes longer passwords cause problems. (I think it's nine characters and up that mess up occasionally.) Typing it into Notepad and copying and pasting it will solve that problem, but if it's a case of not remembering the correct password, that's a toughie to solve if you can't get the email reminder. When you created your profile, did you receive the welcome email at your offsite email address? If you still have it it should have your password in it. Have you checked your junk mail folder for the email that sends your password? Does your email service allow you to enter a safe list of senders, and if so, is plentyoffish.com on it?
You can also find a bunch of other things to try by looking in the Frequently Asked Questions at the top of this forum, in the Miscellaneous Questions section. Plus, there are links galore scattered throughout this thread that may lead you to the solution.
