| Cannot log out out of mail/profile today
Posted: 6/27/2007 5:52:01 PM | The problem I'm experiencing is I login and read my mail and when I type a reply it isn't sent. My message comes up on another window and tells me to save it and I get a log-in box too! It acts like I'm not logged in. It' s getting very frustrating trying to communicate with other fish members. Last night it even told me the person I was trying to send a message to was not accepting messages from anyone as far away as I am. I found out that wasn't correct because I talked to him on IM a few minutes later. Sometimes a message goes thru and sometimes it doesn't. I've cleared cookies and all the other things you have advised on this forum but no luck yet!
Would appreciate any help you can give! | |

There does seem to be a plague of glitches connected to the Profile Site, the forums seem to have escaped this. We do know that the Big Guy has been poking around, maybe one of the wheels needed a new hamster? What we do know is that sometimes upgrades cause some teething problems, and eventually all the new [1]hamsters get happy and well fed until the next time a new hamster is needed.

As the site grows, new doo hicky thingies have to be added, ...that's about all WE can do about it at the moment, you can help by logging any PROFILE glitches here.

I am limited to 64,000 people online at a time on the main site because thats all that one IP supports. I've changed it a bit so that I can support more users but as a result some people are being bounced around between 2 web servers.
Seems to be a UK issue for now, limited to people who are using proxy servers. | |

Hamsters are cute and furry and soft and generally fun to play with or watch....I don't think two pages of ****ing, and endless other threads elsewhere about it, quite lines up with that late™  But oh did I get a good laugh and I do thank you for the explanation. :) I was having mishaps too but figured enough were complaining so was just keeping an eye out.

Posted: 6/27/2007 10:19:14 PM | For the past few days, almost every time I log in to POF, I have to log in again every time I go to send someone a message, view sent messages, view favourites, who has viewed me, and the IM feature doesn't work at all. It says to log in again...which does nothing.
I know I have cookies enabled. I stay logged in on every other website. Nothing has changed on my computer during these three days AND it doesn't happen every single time.
Any ideas what could be up? | |

I think after all these complaints the server should realise something is wrong and do something about it. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease, its a great site best ive been on, even blows Faceparty out the window.
