Every time I click to check my mail, or look at someone's profile or do anything that involves navigating to another page on this site, it asks me to Log In again...it doesn't matter if I just logged in 5 seconds before, it still asks me to do it again. It's pretty annoying, honestly.
Done everything recommended on this thread and still no joy. I am on AOL, did the tick the box thing, enabling the cookies and so on. I have had this problem in the day time as well when normally pof was fine and i and my friend (on her pc) are both having this problem, she has to log in but i keep getting the log in screen when i try and send a message and have to log in again, it tells me to copy my message and paste it... i do so and it does it again lol

From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings. Select Internet [Web] Options Select Use your Internet Explorer Settings to set advanced browser options. Select the Privacy tab Select Advanced Deselect override automatic cookie handling button Click OK to exit.

Here's how to work around this Problem: Click the Start Button on the lower left-hand Corner of your Screen Click on Control Panel Double-click the Internet Options Icon Select the "Privacy" tab and hit the "Advanced..." Button Check the Box that says "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" Check the Box that says "Always Accept Session Cookies" and click "OK" Click "OK" again Resume logging in. The Problem should be solved.

I login,i go to whos viewed me it sends me back to login (most times) I write a message and try to send- it takes me back to login. I've cleared cookies,all history.allowed pop-ups for pof. I never had this problem for yrs wwith webtv. Why can't this day and age get things to work. I mean are we in the computer stone-age here on pof .
As new Hardware is being added, Users are being re-directed to the right Servers.
The Problem is a lot of it is IP based and many Users from Places like AOL are hitting the Site with a different IP every single Page View.
The Admin had tried setting Cookies on User's Computers to direct them to the correct Machine; for some Reason it is preventing a lot of Users from sending Mail longer than 2 Sentences.
So hang tight ... these Problems are in Progress of being addressed.
well i was having the same problem as alot of you on here up untill last night. i fixed it by changing my web browser from IE7 to firefox. so if you are having this problem try downloading firefox, and hopefully it will solve your problems to.
hey guys how are ya, id like a little help please my account keeps getting deleted this happened few months back and since than i havent been able to keep an active account the site just wont allow me. i checked cookies, security settings, i can open an account for few minutes but can send mail or be seen by other users and it gets deleted rigth after. i think it has something to do withmy ip(im not a great pc whiz so i dont really know) its a bit frustrating i opened this account on a friends pc and im hoping it wont get deleted again, my old account was red82black i really enjoy this site made some good friends here in the past, and would love to still be on here any help from the moderators would be greatly appreciated, i know that admin is a busy guy which is cool but maybe you guys can give me a hand
I tried to create a new profile but it keeps getting deleted (I did a search and it is not on the site at all). I created my original profile while in the United Kingdom, but am returning to the USA soon and so I decided to create a new profile for my USA address in California, but it was deleted shortly after. Is there a problem with creating a new profile? I would prefer to have two because I spend about half my time in the UK and half in the USA. Any suggestions?
This has GOT TO BE the singularly most frustrating thing about PoF. I have found plenty of women I'd love to talk to, but because I messaged pretty much everyone I could the first day, without understanding, apparently my only option is to create a SECOND identical account to talk to the ones that I like that I have NOT used unintentionally for sending to those users.
There should be a reset of some kind. And I suck at forums, and so I posted to the first Admin post I could find. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, makes me hate computer people... Why can't you just have a "I have a problem" page????

a friend of mine is trying to sign up and everytime he does his profile dosent show to anyone its hidden for some reason
then he logs out and logs back in again to see if that changes it and it dosent let him back in says things abouts cookies but all thats fine cos it lets me sign in if i try straight away after he logs out so his profile is deleted
plus now he is trying to register again and when it gets to screen when u choose a username and put your email its dosent let him proceed he has tried numerous usernames and it dosent say if they are taken or anything like it usually does and the screen just keeps refreshing everytime he presses submit
what going on how cant he sign up and why was his profile not showing
