If anyone there recommends you use AdAware, Spybot, AVG, Kaspersky, etc. ... ignore them. Most haven't got the faintest Clue what they are talking about, more often than not parroting off some Product Review they've read Somewhere. HijackThis 1.99.1 will get rid of it.)

I appreciate the lik . i am new here ... no problems yet . But I really want to run this and am a bit intimidated at the comments .... says it isn't for novices . I Have reason to believe something is up with my computer ..... if you could tell me .... like you have with the others I would really appreciate it alot

I Have reason to believe something is up with my computer

Like just about everyone else here who seems to have Problems with Trojans & Viruses, Ad/Spy and other Malwares, Browser Hijacks, E-Mail and Forum Logins, the underlying culprit is usually no other than Internet Explorer.

Check/Do first:Browsers: Internet Explorer Security Settings
Browsers: Internet Options
Browsers: How to Enable Cookies
E-Mail: Rejects User Name & Password for Login
Plentyoffish: Forum Logins & Passwords
Browsers: Can't Connect/Login to Plentyoffish
Plentyoffish: Resolving "Login" Issues

In Fact, Adware Receptability & Tracking has been built right in so Microsoft can also profit from spamming the living Daylights out of its Users. Plugging up a Browser's Security Holes isn't exactly Rocket Science, but when you design a Browser to permit selective Malware to be run, Hackers are not only fully encouraged, but are actually paid to find Ways to exploit Avenues to stuff in yet another hidden Toolbar for Advertising.

Better than 80% of my Time is wasted on those who refuse to let go of this bug-ridden, Spam-infested Browser. It won't be long before I start to ignore such Users.

Here are some of the most popular Malware I routinely find running in the Background of Internet Explorer Users:

IE Malwares:HbTools 4.7.3
HotBar
ZangoToolbar
FunWebProducts
Simbar
Adware.Simbar.100
PowerSearch 2.07
SeekmoToolbar 4.8.4
PeoplePal 3.0
Browser Enhancer
Image Shack Toolbar
Various Internet Bots

Browsers: 11% of Users have "funwebproducts" Spyware installed
Browsers: Browser Hijack/Malware & HijackThis
Browsers: Internet Explorer & Vulnerabilities
Browsers: Internet Explorer 8 ???

In Summary, don't use Internet Explorer on this Site. Use Firefox or any other comparable secure Browser which is not based on the IE Engine.

With Firefox,
you reduce or,
virtually eliminate
:
1. Virus
2. Trojans
3. Ad/Spyware
4. Other Malwares
5. Browser Hijacks
6. Other Security Issues
7. E-Mail & Login Problems

Firefox Features:A. Use with Instant Messenger
B. Has a built-in Spell Checker
C. Remove Ads & Spam from Websites

I have tried everything from changing my name, email address etc. Still doesn't work. What tools do I need to resolve this problem? When I have re-registered with everything I am okay, photos are in, send someone a message or add them as a favorite it is there when I am on. When click on to search I loose everything? When the favorite checks his email my profile has disappeared. Why? Please send an email to email address removed ASAP. THANK YOU.

Hi,

I have been using the system for a while with no problem - I was even on the system earlier today with no problem.

Now I go to log in and I get a message telling me that I can use my e-mail address to login or to change my internet privacy settings to accept cookies.

I have done both of those options - although I could login before with the setting as it was I did change it - still won't let me login.

Any advice, solutions?

Aha! So I'm not the only one. Everything fine yesterday. Same computer, same settings, profile still there and cannot login today.

Huh? Um. Everything worked fine yesterday. Nothing changed...what is being fixed if it wasn't broken before, LOL?
In any case I used the latest version of Firefox yesterday. What security settings in Firefox need to be changed?

Shall I re-install Firefox? Of course, if it IS firefox, how can I be posting with another account? Because all things being equal, I should not be able to log in with this profile either, correct?
And yes, I can still look up my profile. And I still can get the same handle and login information sent to my e-mail. POF just won't let me login with it.

Aha! As of 5 minutes ago...my profile no longer exists. No reason. Did not violate any of the guidelines.

I'm wondering why it was erased. Because I'm going to create the exact same profile again. It would be nice if I got the reason why it occured.

I have only just started having this problem but I can live with it as I have my logon details saved on screen.

If its any help to your ongoing search for the resolution I connect using Firefox and my ISP is BT internet. If you need any more information to aid you just send me a message.

*EDIT* Typo's

Unhappy! I and my sister can not login in via a same computer at home, otherwise, both of our profiles will be deleted! That is very frustrated. I wonder if there is one way that two persons can share a computer? Thanks for any help!!! Regards! Tina

Login in problem!
Posted: 2/19/2008 4:23:57 AM
Hello, friends, who may kindly help to resolve my “login in” problem?
I joined PDF and I like it very much, but yesterday, my roommate logined in PDF via my computuer, now both of our profiles can not be found, we are very anxious because there are emails we don`t still check.
My computer accepts all cookies, and security settings are not set to high. Now I am at a net cafe, and I have done everthing what I can, and I still can not log in back.
Why is this? Have we broken any of the rules of the site? So I can't understand what's going on.
How can two persons use one computer to login in PDF and also can avoid such problems?
Thank you to anyone who check into my login problem! Hope to get your help very soon!
Regards! Rose

Amazed that message actually took.

I have been using this site since January this year, and suddenly can't log in whatever I try doing.
