| LOG IN/OUT PROBLEMS/PROFILE PROBLEMS? - Please Read
Posted: 7/13/2008 7:12:40 PM | OK... I had to break down and buy a new computer (laptop). Of course the damn thing came with Vista on it and now I can't log into POF... I can log into the forums and once in a while get into the other site by clicking on other links from the forums. This isn't the only site I'm having issues with but I think it has something to do with the IE that came with Vista. I can log on using Firefox. Is there some settings that I need to change? I have read a lot of forum posts and checked and double checked all the settings and everything so far seems set correctly. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks  | |

| Profile deleted?
Posted: 7/14/2008 8:03:22 AM | It appears neither POF system (forums,main site) no longer has any record of my 'SimplyUnique' account OR the email address that was attached to it. In fact, it went POOF on me sometime around 11:30PM last night, but I thought it was just a temporary glitch.
I've checked the email address that was attached to it to check to make sure it was fine and that I hadn't gotten any deletion notice or anything (which I hadn't).
If my account was deleted for some reason, may I at least know why?
If it wasn't deleted, what happened to it and can it be recovered? The record shows someone who was 49 closing the account on "Apr 11 2008 6:11AM", if that helps. I wouldn't know anything about that though since it was free when I registered it ~1 month ago. | |

Never had this problem before but I can't get signed in. Everything is the same as it always has been, haven't changed a thing. I signed in a couple of days ago without a prob but every attempt tonight has failed. If you could shed some light on the prob I'd appreciate it.

| Log On Issue!
Posted: 7/21/2008 2:40:42 PM | | OK... I can log on with a 64 bit version of IE 7 but not with a 32 bit version of IE 7. Both came installed on my new laptop which had Vista installed on it. This could be the problem others are having. Apparently, if you have Windows XP or Vista your computer has both versions of IE on it? Any idea why we can't log on to check email with a 32 bit version of IE 7? On a side note, I can log into the forums with the 32 bit version of IE 7. | |

Posted: 8/1/2008 2:44:30 PM | I have discovered that the Google Beta Toolbar was preventing me from logging into this site and a few others after installing. I uninstalled it and was able to log in. Reinstalled it and went back to not being able to log in.
So if you have installed the beta version of this toolbar try uninstalling it from add/remove programs.
I have verified the regular version of the toolbar does not cause this issue (just reinstalled it.) It is only the BETA version. | |
