| Can't login Posted: 8/8/2008 6:32:42 PM | I have tried all the above but unfortunately it hasn't helped me to log in. Even though I can of course see my profile and log in forums my email is not found in POF database.
It seems no one else is having the same problem as I haven't seen anyone else posting about it | |

| Plentyoffish: Resolving Login Issues Posted: 8/15/2008 7:15:09 AM | I was having issues myself ever since I bought myself a new laptop with Vista installed. I could get in using FireFox but not IE. I had an issue with Vista updates not installing correctly and had to call Microsoft for help. They took control of my computer remotely and fixed the issues and ever, since then I have had no problems logging into this site using IE. I don't know if it's something they did, or if it was the updates they got the computer to install that fixed the IE issue. But as of now all is good with me. | |

| Problems Logging In? Posted: 8/22/2008 7:44:56 PM | I had this problem at one time and then I had an issue in which Microsoft had to take control of my computer and fix an issue I was having with Vista and what ever they did fixed this problem for me. But yesterday for some reason it developed again which made me mad and drove me nuts so I called Microsoft again. And here is what the issue was and what they did. I am running Vista with Norton 360. The Norton product was causing the issue so what Microsoft did was use a Norton Removal Tool they downloaded from the Symantec site and removed all Norton products from my computer and presto it was fixed. I then had to turn around and download and reinstall my Norton 360 but that is OK. I no longer have this log in problem. I was told by Microsoft that these antivirus programs are what usually cause this type of problem and the fix is to uninstall the antivirus program and reinstall it. What I would suggest is to call Microsoft and they will remotely take over your computer, find and fix the problem. And it didn't cost me a thing. Just a bit of information for those having issues with logging in. | |

 | Was your Windows Vista an upgrade from Win2000/XP? What I really want to know if Norton 360 was installed prior to Vista? |

| Problems Logging In? Posted: 8/22/2008 8:56:10 PM | NO, when I bought the computer it had Vista Home Premium install and Norton Internet Security 2008. I had this initial log in issue from day 1 I bought the computer and brought it home. But when I bought the computer I upgraded my Vista to Ultimate and the Norton to Norton 360 but still had the problem. Vista then had an issue with downloading and install security updates for Vista and that was when Microsoft took over the computer the first time and fixed my Vista issues it also fixed my log in issues because they said the Norton product was preventing their security updates from installing. They deleted Norton that time also. So both time I had to uninstall Norton products using that tool and then reinstall it. But the issue was there from the day I brought the computer home. Hope that made sense . | |

I wonder if this only affected Internet Explorer Users or would also prevent Firefox Users from logging in, since I show no Record of you having it installed on your Computer.
 | I'll add this as a Cautionary Item to the List of Things to watch for in Respect to Log-in Issues. |
