I'm not jumping into a relationship thinking/hoping for Long Term. If I'm really hoping it works out then I'm too willing to ignore little tell tales that it isn't going to work out. | |

Posted: 4/5/2008 6:31:13 PM | Actually it's what 99% of the women on here are looking for. They should have a choice for "internet relationship". Most women will use this site as a place to talk to guys, but rarely follow through with meeting them. This is a place for them to either fantasize or fill that need to ask questions they won't or can't ask the guy they are with. Then after messaging a few times after their emotional needs are met, because most guys will try to be understanding, have a better way to approach their problem on the homefront. In some cases, even admit they are with somebody and then go on how he did this or he did that, which of course for the guys that are looking for somebody, aren't here for that purpose.
For any that argue, click on the one of the POF parties that are planned in your area. I guarantee, GUARANTEE!, that up to 75% or much more of the people planning to attend are males. Not yelling about the POF site, this is on all the internet sites.
So, to answer your question, men choose that option because if they have been on here long enough, all other choices where they have vainly tried to meet people have been exhausted. That's the choice with the broadest interpretation, so guys may choose that option to hopefully garner interest from a woman who isn't self indulgent and is actually going to possibly give a guy a shot. | |

I'm still trying to figure out what a woman means when she says she's just looking for friends but also says she's not looking for email/chat, not looking for someone married or looking for intimate enconter but is looking for guys close enough to come see her. not even looking for casual relationship with one guy. guess it means before she has sex with you she atleast wants to know your name. as far as anything else is concerned, I could never figure out why women got all these rules when all they are looking for is someone to jump in bed with once in awhile. | |

Posted: 4/15/2008 3:44:02 PM | I just want to know why guys (and I'm sure some women) can't just put that they are looking for an affair. Instead, they put "dating" or "hang out" when what they really should put is "other relationship". I've read some profiles that say dating/hang out and all they really want is a booty call and they so in their profile. If you're brazen enough to write in your profile, then why not be honest enough to put it down for what you're looking for?!?!
From the choices on the list -- there isn't much else that other relationship can mean. The list pretty much covers most, if not all, categories.
I don't care if people are looking to have an affair - just say so. This doesn't just apply to married people, its for single people that just want a one-nighter too. There are some people that are actually looking for friends, people to hang out with, and actual relationships. | |
