| What's the longest you've ever gone without sleep? Posted: 3/22/2006 7:46:13 PM | I'm an architecture major, so I quite frequently get no sleep. The longest I went was three days, because it was finals week and I had two big projects due...and I only managed that thanks to coffee. Would not recommend that at all.
The second longest time was two days and that was because I went to Ireland and the 5 hr. time difference screwed me up, but I wound up getting sick when I returned home. Not fun...sleep is very good. :)

Stupid move: owned a 5 speed stick, friend I went with couldn't drive a stick. So I had to drive all the way.

| What's the longest you've ever gone without sleep? Posted: 3/22/2006 10:34:04 PM | 4 days with a toothache! pilers did cross my mind. Vodka changed my mind
As for two weeks.....??
I watched a medical war movie doc, About extreme effects on the human body. Cold, Heat, Food, Water, and Sleep. To see how long a person can stand the test. German Nazi doc's had people stay a wake 5 days 6, 7, 8 on the 9th some had passed out unable to reawake till later.. 1 slipped into a coma and died only two made it to the 10th one of the two later had his brain system shut down People (Docs) say your brain is like a computer. When your online and downloading your brain is filling up ...and you need sleep to put all the crap into the recycle bin...hmmm maybe thats why we dream?

You know it's funny, when we're kids, many of us (me included) try so hard to stay up all night because it's fun, and then when we're older it's like... What I wouldn't give for a NAP!

| What's the longest you've ever gone without sleep? Posted: 3/29/2006 12:43:04 AM | 3 days. More than once too even.
When I was in my early twenties, I sometimes would go without sleep for 2 days because I had to work at night.
One time on the way to school when I was 22 I carried too much weight on my shoulders. I ended up ruining my back muscles. When I was eating I suddenly got a bad back spasm and my head was stuck cringing sideways for 3 days. I had to lie down in bed with my back half way up in the air in order to not suffer excruciating pain. It was terrible.
I no longer work at night but I work really late hours. Now im phobic of not getting sleep because I realized those times in the past did affect me a bit. For a while I used to get tired all the time or only wanted to fall asleep when I did things. I think im more stabalized now thankfully.
