I amost got a tramp-stamp but realized ya wouldn't put a bumper sticker on a Rolls Royce, so I chose not to.
Rolls Royce, huh? ;-) I'm guessing your tramp stamp would have read "I'm Humble....Honest!"

Which model Rolls Royce are you? A Phantom or a Drophead?
You may not put bumper a sticker on a RR, but they sure have a pretty fancy hood ornament.

| Women & Tattoos Posted: 7/22/2008 12:51:31 AM | | I have 3 tattoos that I got when I was in my mid-twenties. I think I did it for the shock value. I held a professional position and always presented myself as pretty reserved. But I've also always had somewhat of a wild side and that was my way of expressing it at the time. They are not in plain sight, which for me was like holding the element of surprise. I could be in my little business suit and tilt my head a certain way, which would cause my hair to fall to one side and reveal a pin-up girl on the back of my neck. That stopped a few men in their tracks if they happened to be walking behind me. One of the others is a ring around my toe because I thought it was creative and much more comfortable than wearing an actual ring around my toe (although no one warned me of the extreme pain getting a tattoo on your toe is!) and the very first one I got is a pretty little sunflower on my lower belly... off to the side. At the time, I actually did consider getting the one on my low back, until I heard the term "tramp stamp". Thank God I stopped! I do admit though, as fun as it was at the time, now being 38 and a mother, I've sometimes wished they weren't there. It was really fun trying to answer my 6-year old's question of why I had a picture of a lady on my neck! | |

| Women & Tattoos Posted: 7/25/2008 7:34:28 PM | No tats here. Frankly not into coloring my skin. Actually the thought of a little needle poking me over and over freaks me out..... | |
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 7/26/2008 6:52:58 AM | I'm not sure I like tats on women. Maybe a small tat. But I don't get why some ladies want to distract us from their beautiful ass by having a depiction of the Mystery of Golgatha tattooed all over their back. If I want to see the Sistine Chapel, I'll go to Italy. | |

| Women & Tattoos Posted: 7/28/2008 8:52:09 PM | ^^^ooohh, eastbaygent.funny..... (ya ever notice no matter how eloquently a person tries to not be condescending...they really are?) back to the (millionth) 'Tat" thread... i have one teeny tattoo of my deceased Parents' names on the inside of my ankle... which is interesting, because ive never been a big fan of tattoos on women... it it my One & Only i will get.... | |
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 7/29/2008 3:34:50 AM | | I don't understand the attraction of tatoos for men or for women. To me they're ugly, stupid, and detract from your looks. Call me old-fashioned in this respect but I would have a lot of second thoughts about dating any woman with tats. | |

the next great class struggle
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 7/31/2008 2:49:14 AM | I dont have one, but I'm not going to lie, I'd like to at least get one in my lifetime. It would never be anything big or something i know i'd regret in the future...
But of course right now i'm tat free and will stay that way until i feel ready to get one.
And it would not be visible to many people.
I do find that some people go way crazy with there tattoos and sometimes it comes out like crap and most of the time it comes out okay.... i have yet to see a person up close with a good one, though. on tv they look pretty cool...makes me think again if i should get one,
lol | |

Women in my sober home generally have tats from their drugging days. When they try to get work they have to do various things to hide the tats or lose whatever jobs they can get with them. Lots of money on skin colored tapes.
Size, placement and content ... would you have it show in your ballgown at 60 ?
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 6:05:10 PM | I personally have 8 tattoos and don't see a problem with them on anyone. All of mine are in places that I can very easily cover up if necessary.
Mine are all very special to me and nothing that I will ever regret b/c they have sentimental value.
If anyone ever considers getting one, but is to worried about what it might look like when they are 60, do yourself a favor and walk away from the tattoo parlor! You will regret the new ink w/in the year.
And I think a little well done ink makes anyone a little sexier!
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 6:13:21 PM | | whats wrong with the ladies and tats? I love tats and if i'm dating someone that has tats or may want to get thier first research and edcation, goes a long a longway. | |
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 6:24:14 PM | Pretty funny...............who cares what it will look like in 30 years.......... you probably won't even notice it anymore by then. | |
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 7:07:41 PM |
who cares what it will look like in 30 years Perhaps if you have alzheimer's, you can rediscover your tattoos, daily. What a lovely surprise! Much less painful than actually getting them, I am sure. You could have a brand new tat without that pesky healing time, pain and discomfort. Better get some new piercings to match, before you forget!
Suddenly, getting cataracts or going blind is something to look forward to.
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 7:28:05 PM | Yeah, especially if we plan ahead... sneak them in where we are sure to have folds of skin in 30 years. That will make the discovery process more like an archaeological dig. | |

| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 7:54:58 PM | | I would be happy to work that site Pete. Shall I bring my tools? | |
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 7:58:04 PM | You have... gulp... TOOLS?
I'll bet they make my spatula look wimpy...
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/14/2008 8:44:53 PM | I come with a full compliment of tools baby.
Maybe I need to add a J-Frame Tattoo Machine to my bag.
Branding is hot work in the summer!

| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/15/2008 10:06:49 AM | too bad you dont like tats i think depend where they are ,they can be very sexy.....tatoos artist are amazing,u shud watch that show miami ink, loves guys with tatoos ...take care...... | |
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/15/2008 4:27:39 PM | Yeah, great show... I like American Chopper too... but I wouldn't ride a theme bike any more than I would have a tat. Just because something is interesting doesn't mean it's necessarily art.
Speaking of art, I like some tattoo art (although some is laughably schlocky) - just not on me. I don't disagree that some tats can be sexy... Like I said earlier, a depiction of the mystery of Golgatha tattooed all over an otherwise beautiful back doesn't do anything for me... Sorry.
|
| Women & Tattoos Posted: 8/16/2008 12:34:02 PM | It seems like most women regret the tattoos later on in life.
Personally I dont like tattoos on women. Women are so beautiful naturally. I feel that tattoos take away from a womans natural beauty. But I would still date a woman with tattoos. A tattoo doesn't change the person. I have seen some really neat tattoos and I like those that have a story of meaning behind them. I prefer no tattoos, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter one way or the other.
|

Kinda like a blemish... only voluntary. I think I'd reserve judgment until I saw it, but like I said earlier, at some point, I think it detracts from a woman's appearance (agreeing with Chucky).
