How did you win tickets , from calling in?
They are also playing with the Counting Crows, I hung out with them years ago at a Rolling Stones Concert at Giant Stadium. They were very Down to earth guys | |

OMG he was so good at Jones Beach.The place was packed. Very suprising for the beach.But hey it is Clapton.Stiil $20 tickets were to be had in the parking lot.
Did alot of old.. But I was a little suprised No Wonderful Tonight,Tears in Heaven
Next Week- Robert Plant (Led Zepplin for you non rockers)

4 days of nonstop live music . was incredible!
i'll be going to "Gathering of the Vibes "on july 31st to august 3rd. which is the same kinda camping out/music festival deal...
teluride bluegrass festival is in a week or so but im gonna miss it unfortunately...
all the other acts i plan on seeing are international or unrecognizable world music genres
so i wont bother listing any lol..... | |

Gathering of the Vibes ,I have never been to but i am dieing to go.
sad sad day people.
I went to a concert last night & did not get in .
2nd time that has ever happned to me( 1st being BRUCE)
This was the Tom Petty concert. It was not that there were no tickets outside. There were plenty. I saw about 15 people.. go in with their extra tickets rather then sell it at a reduced price then what the face value was ( about $150 US was face)
Bad Karma for them.

I went to Billy Joel at Shea.
That was a tough one to get tickets for.
At 8:10 someone came up with Good seats for $40 each.
I Did not see to many people buying or selling .
I saw on Craigslist people offering $400 and up for 1 ticket( that nuts)
I also saw Brain Wilson From Beach Boys at the Thursday nights free concerts they have ay Coney Island.( next weeks free concert is Smokey Robinson, Then Liza Minelli( ok only my mom would like her)
In Massapequa free concert Tuesday Is Lou Graham From Forigner..Then Air Supply( not for me)Gloria Gainer..ugggg
and yes the 80's are back with the Spin Doctors. Can not go wrong for free
Bring a cooler and have a blast. | |

Bruce Springsteen( Giants Stadium) easy to get in for $10 with 80,000 seats No problem.
Foo Fighters ( Izod NJ) hard ticket to get.
Poison ( Jones Beach) another easy $10 Ticket.I have seen them every year it is sad how empty the show is.
Jefferson Starship( Free Concert Coney island)can not ask for anything easier.
and for you deadheads The weekend of Thur the 31st -Sunday the 3rd is Gathering of the Vibes(Bridgeport CT) To many bands to list, but a good freaking time

REM - MSG
James Taylor - JB
Lyle lovett - Westbury
Mellancamp - JB
Phil Lesh/ Levon Helm - JB
Police/ Elvis Costello - JB
Allmans - JB
John Hiatt - Oyster Bay
Vince Gill- Westbury
and finished up the summer with Jimmy Buffett at JB.
I was also shocked at how empty Jones Beach theatre was for most shows but with the bullying security at the gates, poor sound quality, paying $15 for the privilege of $8 beer to stand like sardines, the high prices and the filthy conditions I am not surprised. | |

Posted: 9/11/2008 8:36:50 PM | Saw a few shows this summer, Rush at Jones Beach, Ratdog and the Allmans at JB, Riverhead Blues Fest. Went to AllGood in West Virginia. Just saw Railroad Earth last Saturday at Irving. Trey is playing at Roseland next month.
Tomorrow night is a beer fest at South Street Seaport, Donna Jean and the Tricksters ae playing. | |
