| What are YOU doing on Canada day? Posted: 6/18/2008 10:26:35 PM | I am probably going to be working traffic & crowd control for the evening celebrations in PoCo but will be wandering about so I will get to enjoy some of the festivities & see the fireworks as well. My shift ends when we've cleared all the traffic out of the area, then I will head home & sit back with a glass ... umm ... make that a bottle of wine & relax, hopefully with someone to snuggle up to by candlelight as well. | |

Since Canada day is the anniversary of my dads death (3yrs) I will spend quiet time with my family and enjoy my precious little ones. Then at 7pm we will release 53 red balloons just to say we miss him and love him very much. Hopefully this year is easier than last.
So you plan to pollute our beautiful country? Fair enough, to each their own. I'm probably going to smoke a big joint rolled in a maple leaf, and drink an over abundance of alchohol.

Yah Cloverdale is my destination, close to home, free, outdoors good music. I will try and set up my cocoanut husk fake sun umbrella near on the field near the stage. Last year I heard April Wine, it was a treat to see outdoor concert! Maybe some of you can find me near the nutty umbrella.

It ain't the same but it's better than a kick in the pants

| What are YOU doing on Canada day? Posted: 6/28/2008 6:07:33 PM | | normally i would've been working...my company is 24/7 and 365 days a year...we don't get stat holidays off. i traded shifts with someone though...seeing a friend's band the night before and getting up at 4am after a late night didn't seem very appealing. also going to start driving around neighbourhoods in mt. pleasant, commercial and west end looking for aug 1st apartment rentals. so i've got nothing uber holiday-ish planned. | |

| What are YOU doing on Canada day? Posted: 6/30/2008 2:11:00 AM | I was going to say that I had no plans for that Tuesday, BUT I then remembered that because this weekend was a long weekend for some... and my brothers Softball games were delayed because of that, I will now be spending the day/evening with family and then softball game to end the day. All in all not a bad way to end the weird way that the long weekend was played out this year. Oh well, the weather was/is great finally and that makes it all easier to hand, right?! lol. | |

| What are YOU doing on Canada day? Posted: 6/30/2008 2:23:19 PM | Don't know how many more days of this barbequing, sipping, chillin, etc I can do, but I just finished icing up another cooler full, preppin the last of the snacks and getting ready for round,,,4,,,,I think???? More sun please!!!!
(I have found out thru special testing that Canadian beer does NOT really effect ya when ya get past a certain number and the temp is above 28 degrees. The only problem that I have found so far is the large copious amounts of the liquid that you put into your body has to be released from it in a timely and orderly fashion without gentlemen in blue uniforms watching ya )
