No it isn't dead. I think the perception of what romance is, may have changed along the way but its still very much alive. I was told last week by my other half (his quote) "that I may not be the most emotional person and I may not show it well but I will do what I can so you know how much I care".

I went out for about an hour to do some errands, and when I came back, he had pulled out some candles that I had bought, lit them, set the picnic table and had dinner on the bbq.

To me, that was romantic and that's all that counts.
