Wow....what a great addition to this site. I am hoping that I will be able to view peoples assessments, but only if they can post it at their wish.

I’d like to be able to go back and view (not change) the statements and my answers to them. There are a couple of areas where the assessment was the exact opposite of how I responded to the statements so at this point I don’t know if I misinterpreted the statement and therefore answered incorrectly or if there is a glitch in this test. If I recall, there was a similar problem initially with the Compatibility Test; if you responded at one end of the spectrum or the other to some of the questions, it skewed the results.

Personally I would like to see questions about how important your partner's health is to you, if they maintain a healthy lifestyle, I think that was missed and would provide useful feedback.

The way I perceive the test is that it's design is to identify or give insight into the needs of the person taking it. For the kind of questions you suggest, in my opinion anyway, that would fall in line with a different type of test, don't you think? More in line with measuring preferences as opposed to needs.

I have to agree with several in here, and especially "lola honey". My results do not all reflect how I feel or how I responded. I wonder if there really is a glitch.

Pretty accurate overall, from my perspective.

However, like a few others, there were a couple of results that make me think there is a glitch or that I inadvertently answered the opposite of what I thought I did. I see it will not allow you to retake it, or review what your answers were. I didn't think to review my answers before submitting....

How long before it's visible on the profiles?

I found this test to be very helpful & enlightening. Thanx! I also have copied & pasted my results into a Word Doc for future reference.
However, there definitely are some glitches in your system. A few of the assessments were the exact opposite of the responses I chose (I double-checked). I also do not condone POF applying any of the test results to anyone's profile without their prior consent. This may be a free site, but our profiles are set up the way we want them to be. It's our choice as to what information we want to share with anyone/everyone. POF does not have the right to be adding to our profiles, in my humble opinion. Especially when there are obvious system glitches. POF could do a lot of damage to a person's chances of finding the right one for them!

I liked the test. It seemed to be reasonably accurate with my perception of me.

Some of the questions forced me to give anwers that I would have prefered to expand on. I just went for the middle in those cases.

As for putting it in my profile yes warts and all. I would hope anyone reading it would take it with a pinch of salt as I will take hers.

I have checked other profiles and can't find their results or their results look like mine.
Am I missing something?

I took this test before, it doesn't seem like it shows this on my profile. Am I going to have to take the test again?

Thanks for the info,

A shortened summary of the test will be put on your profile. You can take it off as before. Preview the summary if to see if you want it up. Sexuality is left out, as well as all over valued and under valued items.

And how exactly do we take it off?

(There were typos in the results I noticed, not sure if that matters to anyone or not!!)

I"m sure it will matter now that it's been mentioned in the forums LOL. There are so many post nazis just waiting to pounce on the first misspelling, punctuation or grammarical error they can find. These folks should truly considder getting lives and maybe donating some of their free time to teaching English in underfunded school systems.

There clearly is redundancy in the test. Get rid of unnecessary questions to make less timely (and therefore the responses will more likely be accurate).

The first thing done when planning a test is to design the construct, meaning figure out what needs to be measured. Then the test is designed to measure only what needs measuring. This test is clearly measuring unnecessary relationship qualities, and perhaps leaving off important qualities. I'll take it and afterwards provide more feedback.

I don't work in the assessment industry. But I would expect redundancy in the test and the more the better to give more accurate results. If you misunderstand one question it will not bias the result so much if there are several questions that relate with particular needs. Redundancy can also be used to find cheaters who trying to give what they think is the right answer.

As for the length I imagine it a balance between accuracy and bordom. For me the test was not too long and if it had have been 200 question I would have still been happy.

On a different issue I would like to see the reults displayed on graph in the same way the politcal compass results are displayed.

POF Can we have something like the political compass please.

I came out rather well balanced and perfect. There must be something wrong with the test!!!

Then again the other test gave me a 98% compatability match to a transexual profesional bodybuilder/wrestler who was big into S&M.

Heck I liked Xena but not that much!!!

This is quite a good assessment. But, I disagree with the ordering of my Preferred Expressions of Affection. I definately like Physical Touch better than Gifts.

Is there a way to make this information more private but still available? ie. to those who contact me or those who I choose to send it to.

Nedly:

Yes that other test gave my #1 match as a guy whose profile was written in ALL CAPS and was seeking NSA. I thought maybe the test knew him better than he knew himself so I made the mistake of writing him. His response was "CALL ME BABY I HORNY FOT U". Comparatively speaking, this test was more accurate?

There are some MAJOR glitches with the test. Not so much the correlation between test answers and results, but well here, let me give just one example:
"Issues you seem to Over-value: I wait until I am in love with a person before having sex with him/her ."
Where's the WTF emoticon?

I have a question - when I click on other peoples profiles and then click on the assessments or view - I get my own results, not theirs. Why is that? What am I doing wrong?

As for this test - it was ok, but also got the opposite for me in terms of touch and the gifts versus/verbal thing, like others posted here.

Mine wasn't very exact about me in general.
I could conceivably go any direction on some questions because of circumstances so I imagine that maybe I skewed things by answering about an ex.
This test feels more of something to do while in a relationship to assess it.
The question about bargaining I guess I misunderstood as on the first read I took it as giving in just to shut them up. Maybe if you had phrases to go with the questions it would help define if that "sounds like me or something I say"?
I thought the "I have to know all their co-workers" one was funny - who when why?
The one about I'm lonely, I think that's as close as asking - I'm Hungry. Sometimes you could feel lonely, but on a nonstop basis? This seems like a fleeting emotion not a full-time state of mind existence.
Oh well, fun nonetheless to see what it said.

Ooooh that was funny. Apparently, I MAY be a touch selfish and self centered. OR, I'm just really well-adjusted!

This was interesting and sort of fun, but when I read the results, they reminded me of those horoscope pages one reads sometimes where nothing new is really learned, it's stuff that on a deeper level you already sensed about yourself - except, that it reads a little too perfect!!! Mine came out so good, I am leaving it up there.

You ought to keep the sexuality part in because sexuality is a major component of a healthy relationship and it would be interesting to read another's summary.

There's something wrong with the "I wait until I am in love.." portion. It told me that I undervalued it because I said that it was completely unlike me. It told me that meant that maybe I was selfish or hedonistic (which I thought was kinda funny) but THEN in the overall description, it says that for me, sex is only about love. Uh...?

I wasn't sure if it was right, till I compared it to someone else's test and I could see some differences. It was mostly right, but for 2 bits:

1) It said I'm into gifts. I'd rather have a home-made birthday card, than a big present.
2) It said I'm not touchy-feely. I'm only like that with strangers. With people I know, I'm always holding hands/hugging/kissing them (peck on the cheek to friends). Some women found it a bit much.

But yeah, I'd like that to be included in a search. Maybe all the searches could be included in one, with an option for any.

Also, does anyone know where I can see what a person's MBTI type is, from their profile? Currently the only way I know how to do this is to run 16 searches for them. Very, very annoying.
