Message: OP, i just saw the pierced nose you have. If you EVER want to get a decent job and or career going, my advise would be to loose that asap.

LOL Don't listen to him OP, I have a Monroe facial piercing (diamond beauty mark) on my face and have worked in the brokerage industry facing clients, for eight years. And I am now an account manager for a software company, facing clients every day, and was hired no problem. You'd need to put in a stud instead of a ring during the day, but nose piercings are much more acceptable in Corporate Land now. It's not 1975 for God's sake.
And I have most of my back taken up by large black & grey angels, I get compliments from my grandmother's 85 year old friends all the time. The times they are a changin'. I happen to like guys who like piercings and tattoos...all my art does is help me find compatible guys.

Thats just ****ing bullshit. Define "decent". My old lady is "alternative/goth" and she has a wonderful job in the movie industry making a great living. There is tons of people who are alternative there and they also make a great living. Plus she "loves" what she does. I also know many of people who do all sorts of things and look extreme compared to most people....but they make at least 3 times most..

Don't listen that that bs.

I personally think tattoos are the most sexy thing on a woman. Honestly, they turn me on more then almost anything. They just drive me wild. Piercings I like, but they just don't have a sexual appeal in that same way for me, but I do like them. Some guys like breasts, some like booty, I like tattoos. More then once, I would find myself very attracted to a woman I normally would not have been just because of the tattoos.

In "moderation", tatoo's are a non-issue for me. I know a very attractive (but married, damnit! ) woman with an angel between her shoulder blades, and a few others you wouldn't see if she was wearing a t-shirt even... even if visible, as long as its done in 'good taste' its not a major issue for me.

That being said, y'know... like the guy who was getting his entire body done as a 'reptile' motif, and had plastic 1/2-ball-bearings implanted under his scalp to make a 'ridge' on his head... ok, going a *bit* too far... he may think its 'fun' at age 20, but seems kinda like he's setting himself up to be a circus side-show for life

Piercings on the other hand... I find eyebrow rings, nose rings, lip rings, etc, a big turn-off. Personal preference, if thats what you want go ahead... but I wouldn't date someone with them. Ear piercings are ok, and I know a woman with a small diamond stud on the left side of her nose... that doesn't particularly bother me.

I have never seen a tattoo that made a person look better. I have seen countless tattoos that make them look worse.

As for them being intimidating, hardly. Usually the opposite.

For me, the ears and the navel are as far as my preferences in peircings go.

For tattoos, a few small ones are fine. I'm not into overkill.

I do not like tattoos or piercing on women. With the exception of A piercing in the ears. Meaning, 1 per ear. Have you ever looked into the diseases that are caused by tatoos and piercings? Or potential nerve damage done if the installer hits one? And do you really want to be scarred for life? I wish you would seriously consider not getting any tatoos. You are pretty enough. Do not ruin yourself.

I agree. At 18 we all thought we were invincible and would live forever. Wrong. I know of quite a few men out there that do not and will not date women with tattoos. And quite a few job interviwers will toss your application in the circular file if they see tattoos. It is not legal, but it is done all the time. And most of the employers i know have told me this: If they see tattoos and or ear rings on males, no job. OP, i just saw the pierced nose you have. If you EVER want to get a decent job and or career going, my advise would be to loose that asap.

Wow, what a lemming. OMG I could be scarred for life!!! Umm, sooo? Are we all models? Will anyone REALLY care about my scar when I'm 50? 60? or could it actually end up as a good ice breaker later on in life? This person OBVIOUSLY doesn't speak for everyone. This guy is giving job advice and he can't even spell "lose", or "advice" correctly. Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

The funny thing is, anyone with tattoos would not want to date someone who dislikes them in the first place. If I ran into a cute girl that didn't like tattoos, she's not cute anymore...the switch in my head flips and attraction is gone. Why? Who wants to be with an ignorant person?

The guy above me never even gave any valid reasons why tattoos are bad. All I see is warnings and threats. Like everything else, there is a wrong way and a right way to do something, including tattoos. That goes for procedure as well as tattoo placement.

So what kind of job would a person not be able to get if they had tattoos? Well, I'm a real estate agent and I'm doing just fine...any low income job will accept someone with tattoos as well. The whole job problem really is a moot point. Anyone can hide a tattoo, as long as it's not found in an extreme area.

People that take anything to the extreme don't usually fair too well in life anyways.

I don't mind Tattoos and Piercings at all.. I have two Tattoos myself and would have to call myself a hypocrite to say you girls can't have them
I personally think if they are original they can tell a lot about a person as well.
Name of a former boyfriend = HAHAHA.... I'd make fun of you
Typical tattoo that I've seen on three other people before= You are NOT different
it all depends but most of them are sexy and its nice to find them sometimes

Hey SashaDB!

You go girl! I have tattoo's and piercing and I dont regret any of mine. I love tat's and I want more, they are very addictive. There are some wonderful, creative, gifted artists out there and I think the human body is a wonderful creative canvas to show them on. Its your canvas chicky get some ink!!!!

HarleyKat,

Kat Von D is one of my hero's too! I was so glad to see she got her own place and her own show. Good luck with what your going through. I too am a cancer survivor but not from breast cancer.

Take care!!

I'm not the guy to ask probably since I have daughters your age. Looking at your picture, you look lovely. Why would you disfigure yourself on purpose?

You think an arm full of ink looks better then your natural arm?

Will men still be attracted to you...yes. For every nasty looking man and woman in this world, I believe there's an equally nasty looking counter part waiting for them and so it goes.

I personally feel that nobody under the age of 25 should be allowed to get a tat. I waited till 49 to get mine. We all go through so many changes from 15 -25 it makes sense to wait and be sure. Peircings can be removed, tatoos not so easily.
If a young person wants to show individuality these days be a blank canvas..it is getting rare to see a lady who dares to be bare. That will get you noticed!

Honestly I prefer no tattoos and piercings on a woman. I know that's old-fashioned nowadays but yes, I do prefer that. I actually find nose piercings the biggest turn-off of the bunch. I like the classic look of the Hollywood starlets of the 30s, 40s and 50s myself. But would it keep me from dating a nice girl who has them? No, I don't think it would in all honesty. It might be a problem if she had too many perhaps...

I am not intimidated at all. I actually prefer women who have piercings and/or tats. The only reason I got my piercings was because I wanted to... no other reason. What it tells me is that you can openly express yourself without fear of rejection, etc. in society. Too many people worry about what other people think about them nowadays. Get over it. Be yourself.

Whoever said ""If you EVER want to get a decent job and or career going, my advise would be to loose that asap." is full of shit. My facial piercings haven't hindered my career at all. I do very well and I am doing what I always wanted to do since I was a little boy :D

I don't understand the fascination that so many women have with tattoos. Some even state that they're attracted to men who have them. Now, I might be able to comprehend this if having a tat was some kind of expression of rebelliousness, but practically everyone under the age of 30 seems to have one...so it's become totally conformist. You're a rebel if you DON'T have a tat.
