Disaronno and Slysterling
My problem is not with the players its with Wade Philips how can you give a team a holiday when you are playing terrible football. If you had watched the Cowboys play the last four games you would have seen the one and done coming.
poor catching, poor tackling , stupid penalties , terrible special teams is not going to win you anything let alone a playoff game.
The players should of been practicing the fundemantals of the game sure they were 13 and 3 but if you conisder how many times the Cowboys pulled out a last second win against weak teams they were lucky they were not 9 and 5.

Special teams on kick offs were horible all year missed tackles and stupid penalties almost cost them close games .... this was a very tallented team playing poor football near the end of the regular season.
Disaronno the Cowboys were in shock that they lost show the players film of the last four games and I bet you they wouldnt like what they saw. this wasnt a team ready for the playoffs in fact this looked like pre season football you know that you have to be playing your best football to win in the plyoffs and the Cowboys were the furthest thing from that.
The Cowboys blew more opportunities to score touchdowns that they didnt deserve to win.
They looked great on one drive that was about it and even at that the defence couldnt hold the Giants out of the endzone before half time. THE TURNING POINT IN THE GAME
Philips should have given the players a WAKE UP CALL NOT A HOLIDAY and he should of told the players that if they didnt fix these problems they wouldnt get past the first team.
Just my two cents worth but if anybody is to blame its Philips hes is too soft to be an NFL head coach. Great defensive coordinater yes but Philips is NOT head coaching material.

No arguement from me there.

If anyone got to go to Mexico, or anywhere for that matter, they should have all gone as a team.
Kind of like the Habs (NHL) used to do in their glory days years ago before the playoffs started. Gm Sammy Pollock and coach Toe Blake, and later, Scotty Bowman, put the team away into isolation in the Laurentian mountains quarantined away from all the distractions. Get focussed. Plan your work and then go work your plan.

Cowboys weren't strong coming down the home stretch of the season at all. They should have seen this one coming like a freight train...

Giants deserved the win.

Phillips isn't a head coach, but he plays one (sometimes) on teevee.

He however is a good defensive coordinator...

Yeah, what he said. ;)

I can assure you that I have not missed a Dallas game this year, doll, and what Ive seen is the best team weve had in years, bringing long lost hope to a state full of shamed folks wearing "Yes, we know we suck" T-shirts.
*Oh, and for the record, I know greatness when I see it (Patriots) but your
stank-a$$ Giants give a whole new meaning to the word "lucky".

Philips hes is too soft to be an NFL head coach.

Nice hot cup of "Shut your pie whole", anyone?

Hey. Take it easy. If i had feelings they'd be hurt.
Dis darlin', I never was a Cowboy fan.
Dolphins here, but i've always been a Parcells fan and that's why i still kinda like the Giants because i enjoyed watching what he did in New York over the years.
I have nothing against your Cowboys mind you, apart from Super Bowl 6, just prior to the perfect 72 season...

Somebody else will have to look it up but Csonka's fumble in the first half was his firt fumble in something close to forever...that's what shocked the Dolphins and your Boys humbled them good that day. That was the first Super Bowl i got to watch in it's entirety.

hey Disaronna, Yes I certainly remember them but I go even further back try Dandy Don Meridith, Bobby Hayes, Billy Truax, Bob Lily, Mike Ditka, Chuck Howley, DD Lewis............... theres a few names that go back to their inception into the NFL in 1960.
Back in 1959 Washington Redskins didnt want Dallas to have an NFL team so (Clint Murchison Cowboys Owner at the time ).....bought the rights to the song Hail to the Redskins and forbid them to play this song at their games so Washinton who had the final vote, had to vote the Dallas Cowboys into the NFL in order to play their song at the games.
That was a long time ago probably before your time but the memories are still fond ones

go Cowboys

Awesome posts Deeds..Those were without s doubt the Glory days of the franchise. Believe it or not, After the way the Cowboys were playing after Thanksgiving I wasn't shocked that they lost to the Giants. Not taking anything away from the Giants..Eli, the defense & special teams have all stepped up for the G Men.
I also agree in your post that Wade Phillips is soft as a head coach. As Deejay stated in a previous post, Wade Phillips is a great defensive coordinator. A Head coach he is not. One thing about Jimmy Johnson. He maintained the toughness of a Bill Parcells yet had a much stronger connection with the players. Those Cowboy teams left it all on the field for Jimmy.

I heard a rumor, and I want to stress; rumor, that if the Pats don't franchise Moss, the Cowboys might be interested. Could you imagine TO & Moss on the same team? They'll need to supersize the popcorn in Big-D if that happens!

I doubt Moss will be anywhere but the Pats next year... as hes stated he wants to STAY in NE. The Pats probably wont franchise him. But im sure Dallas would pay more cash than NE would. So its possible I suppose. And if Dallas does get Moss. Dallas still wont win the Super Bowl. Romo is the uprising TMAC of football. I love Tmac, but he still hasnt made it past first round playoffs. As for Dallas and Romo? Nuff said.

^^^Well then that might explain why they never finished the roof off in Irving Texas. The size of those heads will go right thru the roof. The only way they'd fit those ego's all in one place is bring them in thru the open hole in the roof.

Schedule makers would have to have all Cowboys road games in open air stadiums.

I am curious if Parcells will try to lure Marion Barber away from the Cowboys should he try to test the free agency waters. If Jerry doesn't offer Barber a fat contract he is a fool..

Parcells would be a fool not to.

You both have it all wrong. Everyone knows God wants to see his team play.

Did the nfl go vote in the rule change that allows you to have 2 balls on the field during the game?
