| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/7/2007 5:01:33 PM | It was still a rule way back then; something to ponder...
I think it was a unwritten rule that everyone was doing it to some extent. I remember in the early years of ESPN you would always hear of spies being escorted from practice facilities of college & pro teams. Anyone who thinks that the Pats are the only team doing this is obviously naive.

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/7/2007 6:09:16 PM | Ponder this... Eric Mangini is a very jealous child that wanted to show up Belichick.
He was the lone person responsible for doing the "ratting out."
Ponder this... since you constantly want to know why Belichick got busted for doing something that pretty much all coaching staffs do anyways.
Now you know why Belichick got busted... ERIC MANGINI.

Since this is a Dallas thread, the Cowboys still are looking pretty decent imo...

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/7/2007 6:25:32 PM | You know this should have died weeks ago. I don't care what happened, most experts feel the Pats gained no real advantage, so drop it already. And this IS a Cowboys thread so everyone else can F - Off! Seriously though people are too busy making a mountain out of a Mole hill when they should have more important things to be worrying about. | |

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/7/2007 6:50:13 PM | I dont recall The cowboys running up the score on anyone except in the second superbowl win against the Bills but my feelings to that have already been said. Other than Johnson saying the Cowboys would beat the Niners " and they could print it in three inch letters" I really cant recall the Cowboys ever putting up 50 points in a any game except Buffalo I would have to check but running up the score would not have been in Aikmens favor cosidering how easily he got concussions I would bet that Aikman was pulled, but I will try and find a game where they ran up the score on a weaker team. It has never been against the rules that I know of. However if it is against a team in your own division and both teams are playing for first place it was considered acceptable . Only because the tie breaker comes down to points scored against the team you are tied with. Any other time was usually frowned apon and still is. To be honest I could care less if New England wants to run up the score and win the superbowl in the process. I was just stating a fact, I'm just happy we have a team that is on its way back form those dismal 5 and 11 seasons. and we have a youthful team with another 2 draft choices to build on even further. | |

Hehehe... yeah, you make valid points. Your cohorts however want to kick the dead horse. Maybe they think that it still has a weak pulse.
Maybe I'll try to kick-start ol' Bessie up from the ashes
Dallas new stadium looks impressive... I'll try to keep the thread on base.

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/11/2007 10:25:04 AM | Sure hope I am wrong but I have a bad feeling towards todays game the Giants. I just cant see Dallas going 15 and 1 and the Giants are playing good football and are well rested coming into todays game. Just my thoughts but I think Dallas is due for a loss and todays apponents play a good game once again hope I am wrong | |

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/11/2007 10:31:28 AM | Giants didn't play well at all in England against the fish. I took them today to cover. I think the bye week will help this club. Impressive that this team has kept it together this year with all the infighting under Coughlin the last year or so. Amazing what can happen when a bunch of guys just shut up and play football.
If they play up to potential, this is going to be a tough club to beat. I think there'll be a tie atop the east by tonight.

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/11/2007 11:57:18 AM | | Sorry Boys the Cowboys are going to smack the Giants in the mouth today. They have something to prove and people are finally starting to get healthy. I am suprised thought that Carpenter is not playing more. it is as though he fell off the earth. Tank makes his season debut today so hopefully that goes well. | |

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/11/2007 4:12:20 PM | yep, your Boys came in and did it in the meadowlands. Some days thaat Eli Manning reminds me of that Grossman kid in Chicago. Stupid penalties in the second half took themselves out of what was a good game. Good teams don't beat themselves, so the Boys right now are performing at a higher level than the Giants. About a minute and a half left but it looks like its the Boys game
How 'bout them Packers...
|
| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/11/2007 4:24:17 PM | | Sorry Sly, although Favre is having a career year and the Pack is playing very well, they do not have the Horses to run with Dallas. The Giants did not suprise me, they have a Manning at QB, so you know they will CHOKE! | |

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/11/2007 7:05:46 PM | Happy that the cowboys won but wasnt happy with Roy Williams he is the biggest liability on the defence during passing downs, Shockey was all over the feild with Williams trying to chase him down. He just doesnt seem to have the speed to keep up with good tight ends, let alone recievers. He was also late on two or three of his blitzs even when not blocked. Unfortunately I think we are stuck with him and his long contract, still a great player against the run but he is being exploited in passing situations. Suprised Witten was shut down the way he was thought throught out the game that we would have been better off with Hurd as the third reciever on third downs. Oh well just a thought coming from a couch coach what in the hell do I know, the fact they won should keep me happy and quiet just the same | |

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/12/2007 11:32:18 AM | | The Cowboys have rebounded well since the New England loss. Looks like the Week 13 match-up with Green Bay could be for the #1 seed in the NFC. Dallas has more weapons on offense but Green Bay has excellent special teams and defense, plus Brett Farve, so should be a great match-up. | |

should be a great match-up. Yep. But if memory serves me correct, Favre's never played all that well in Texas.
"""Tony Romo matched a Dallas Cowboys season record when he threw his 29th touchdown pass Thursday against the New York Jets. Romo matched Danny White's mark...Roger Staubach, one of the team's two Hall of Fame quarterbacks who won Super Bowl titles, threw a career-best 27 touchdown passes in 1979. Troy Aikman's high was 23 in 1992"""

Showdown In Irving Texas next Thursday night. 2 quarterbacks breaking team records. Packers, Boys both at 10 and 1...should be a good one. Romo reminds me a bit of Staubach but I thought it was still too early to be comparing him to Roger the Dodger. Maybe not though.

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/22/2007 9:04:22 PM | | I'm thinking the Pack will surprise the Cowboys more than people think. Farve isnt ****in around this year. | |
|
| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/22/2007 9:17:58 PM | agreed...
i wouldnt underestimate favre.
favre is known to not play well in detorit and minneapolis either.. and won this year convincingly also.... than again up til this year the only team favre had never beaten.. was kansas city, and that was accomplished also.
this might be green bay's year...
|
| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/22/2007 9:22:26 PM | | Oh it is definetly not Green Bay's year, but it is their year to surprise people in the playoffs. I still think an AFC team will win it all. | |
|
| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/29/2007 3:48:10 PM | wow no one's said much about tonights game against Green Bay. I think its going to be close. That's the extent of my prediction. lol.
I need to go, to pick up my son and go watch the game :-)

wow no one's said much about tonights game against Green Bay. Probably because most of us don't get the NFL Network. Now, if I can just hold my antenna right, I may get to listen to the game on AM radio...

| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/29/2007 8:55:58 PM | | Right now, i think its really up in the air. I'm a die hard COLTS fan, but the AFC is so tuff this year, especially with the Pats reloading. The NFC is just about anyones, but with what the Bears have gone through, I'd have to say the Cowboys. | |
|
| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/30/2007 6:10:26 AM | actually because of a team rights agreement, those in the Dallas area can still get the game on KDFI TV27. Same goes for Dec 22 game at Carolina. They definitely have clinched a spot in the playoffs now it seems. A bit earlier than last year huh?
The next question is, will they stay NFC champs?
|
| Dallas Cowboys and NFL predictions Posted: 11/30/2007 10:19:59 AM | ^^^Well they're in the drivers seat now. man dallas is one town that hasn't been good to favre at all. i knew he seldom won there. i didn't realize he was 0-8 there. and now, to add insult to injury, he might miss his next start.
He didn't play well before he got injured and Rogers made a game of it. Another fine display of NFL officiating last nite. The pass interference call was pass interference just before the last Cowboy's score. It only took them a couple of minutes for another ref to throw the flag. They got the call right i thought, but they didn't look too good getting it right. I think Al Harris got totally stiffed on that takeaway call of his from Owens in the first quarter. Bad bad call. Even TO knew Harris had stripped him of the ball as he made sure to pull harris out of bounds to kill the play. That was a turnover.
All other things being equal, if the Packers do go back to Dallas for an NFC title rematch, I think you'll see a better game from the Packers. Whether they win or not remains to be seen, but they definitely didn't play their regular offensive schemes or defensive schemes last night.
The road to the SuperBowl in the NFC looks like it goes thru Dallas now.
ps The Packers coach made the wrong decision in the 4th on 4th and a short one by opting for the field goal when they were down by ten.
