| Good morning Michigan

Rip did he sing Amore? For years christmas eve just wasn't complete w/o playing the Dean Martin albumn and everyone singing Amore after have a few drinks......nothing like having a family of crazy Italians letting loose and having fun. 
I hunt up in the thumb close to Caro usually. I have hunted other places but not in quite some time. I am hoping to go to Georgia this year around thanksgiving and hunt with my son. I miss my hunting buddy and wish he was still living up here.
Kat I know bow season started on monday. Since I retired and can go when I want I haven't hunted the bow opener and the weekends. I usually wait a couple of weeks for 2 reasons. Since I hunt state land and I avoid the 1st day crowds. I am also not too fond of being up in a tree and having to swat at insects buzzing my head. The deer seem to notice the oversize squirrel 20 feet in the air doing it.

LOL I used to hunt (well i didnt hunt,,i just went with!) with someone i knew up in Gaylord. I have absolutely noooo probs with anyone hunting (my family are hunters also) but i just cannot do it myself! lol Hell i cry seeing roadkill!! (nah im not THAT bad but almost!!!) lmao Nice to hear you going to see your boy tho!
Welp wow,,,very  here so this old lady is off to count some sheep,,,,,

Had to laugh, I being a non-hunter, have always wondered who the hunters are trying to kid.... like the deer DON'T see/hear/smell that oversized quirrel sitting in a tree?  I couldn't kill any creature and have freaked out when I've almost hit a squirrel with my car.... lol I understamd all the arguments of deer hunting and the starvation issue--- I just couldnt point a weapon and kill such a beautiful animal. I'm more of an animal lover --- I feed the birds, squirrels and chipmunks in my yard all year through-- Such a HUGE joy! That reminds me, I need to fill the feeders today or there might be a revolt!!
LOVE starting the weekends when I can watch the sunrise and just be...... no having to rush off to work, just relax and enjoy! Looks like another day with summer like temps is ahead of us :) What's everyone up to today?
Are you guys going to the Halloween party in 20 days and counting..... I believe many will be in some serious withdrawal by then....what? no party fo r a month? Reading the thread on the Halloween party usually makes me smile and laugh~ Love to see a great sense of fun
I'm off to shower and get cleaned up -- Maybe call my Dad and see if he wants to go to breakfast..... He's a snowbird and he'll be leaving in a little over 3 weeks and I want to see him as often as I can before he flies the coop and settles back into the Florida lifestyle for 6 months. After that, errands to do with my sister and then back home to get some paperwork done-- and clean the house~ Wooohooo! The fun never stops around here

Posted: 10/6/2007 6:31:01 AM | good morning everyone...it feels like july today, lol, rip, summer's not over ....we were being tricked...i don't hunt either, but dang i sure love a guy that does...and i don't mind cleaning and cutting it up either...ummmmmmmmmm venison is kazillions tastier than beef....i'll keep my fingers crossed for you john....i'm planning on going to the halloween party, hoping i'll be able to stay down for trick or treating with my grandson too...you going to the party ripkabob?...have a glorious day all

Cosmo I'm an animal lover to. I would never just shoot any animal just for the sake of killing. There is a big difference between harvesting an animal and just going out to trying to kill one. There are many that go "hunting" who shoot at anything that comes their way, they aren't really hunters. Those of us who truly love the outdoors and animals don't hunt that way. I have also spent a lot more money on hunting than it would have cost me to go to a store and buy the meat I have gotten.
Thanks kat. With my success rate I need all the luck I can get.
Rip, come sta? Sta bene? I never thought I would use my limited knowledge of Italian one here.

Shewwwwwwww,,,,,,its a hottttt one!! Woke up just a lil bit ago and woahhhhh its like an oven in my house! Checked my thermo and its 84* in here so *click* on goes the AC!! lol Geez i feel like going out and putting my summer stuff back up! lol
Cosmo and Kattakaboodles,,,,not fer sure yet if im gonna be able to attend the party. *scratches chin thinkin*. Depends on my fundage. lol Im already going to one next weekend on the 13th *oooooo scarrrryyyy*. What are you 2 going as, and John are you goin?
Kattadattadingdong,,,you are absolutely right about about venison! Yummmmies!! My brother could come up with some pret-ty tasty concoctions using venison and it was alll lip smackin good!!
John,,,im fine, grazie!! lol Thats about my extent of Italian so far is Good Morning, How are you?, Good-bye, Thank you, and Im fine. haha Ill have to have my patient teach me more stuff but it has to be simple stuff and not long sentences or id be forgetting! lol

ripkabob I highly doubt I will be at that party, but you never know, I might just stop by just to see the shock on some faces
My son was in cancun with his g/f last week and called me when he landed in atlanta yesterday and said he had some news. I asked him if he got married, he told me he wouldn't do that w/o me being there. I do have a wedding to go to next april now though....... I was right, he is married, he just hasn't done the paper work yet to make it offical

I tried to open all the windows this morning--and let the fresh air in but after a little rain the humidity rose pretty fast! Feels like summer! Thank heavens for A/C
You should go to the Halloween party John -- it'll be a great seeing so many dress up and just be silly and have a GREAT time

This weather is every bit as crazy as a $3 bill, but thats Mich for ya! One day is 90* and todays high is gonna be 55*! lol But i guess its good that'll it'll get everyone in the spirit of Halloween. :) Crispy leaves on the sidewalks and lawns,,,a chill in the air,,,,the shreeks and laughter of the lil kids (and us big kids too! lol), and im looking forward to what kind of scary scenery my neighbor is gonna set up this year. Every year its something different and every year is better than the last. I used to decorate my house with spider webs and creepy things hanging around with a spooky cd playing in the background but it seems halloween has been falling on my nights to work. :(
Welp,,you all enjoy this pretty fall-like morning!

Thanks rip. Now I have a reason to take a vacation next April. They live near Atlanta but the wedding is going to be in Florida. I have no idae why since her family lives in the Atlanta area to.
I live about 3 miles from Checkers not Club 54. I doubt I would go even if it was at Checkers but I have been known to show up some places unexpectedly. LOL

It seems fall is finally here. I do like hot weather but the change is refreshing. I don't mind seeing frost on the ground as long as it doesn't travel up my leg to my.........errrr........ never mind.

Well my neighborhood just had a lil real live flash back from Hitchcocks 'The Birds' . LOL Sitting here yakkin at my chat site a bit ago and suddenly i heard what sounded like 50,000 chirping birds! Lo 'n behold,,,the tree cattycorner across the street was LOADED to the gills with birds!! Strange but kinda spooky too! *shivers*

It may be rainy and icky but least its not cold!! The temp seems to be pretty good. I just hope it holds!

Welp,,my brother stopped out this morning and fixed my lawn mower for me. The pull string thing wouldnt budge! Come to find out,,um,,,well,,,,,,i er uh,,sorta didnt have any oil!! Woops! I do remmeber to change the filter tho! lol Well he did lube 'er back up and now it starts up ok, but he says theres probably damage done and it wont last me forever.  Just bought this thing last summer! He also fixed my dryer for me too. Whatta guy huh? lol Just the belt that makes the tumbler tumble came loose or off or something. He also found a screw that was in there making all kinds of racket before. haha He told me i need a husband! LOL Easier said than done,,Bro!!
Another gorge-aful day out! Love these mild temps,,,,,perfecto!! Guess ill go out and mow my jungle before headin off to la la land!

This weather is just not being good to me. Its been too windy, too rainy or too warm to go camping and hunting . 
rip forget looking for a husband, just find a nice guy thats handy man and rent him a room. He will be able to help you when you have a screw loose and/or if need something that needs to be lubed!!!! .

Rip I never said it was too cold....... in fact I've been hunting and camping in a tent during november and woke in the morning to find ice in the coffee pot I set up the night before.........btw my cute "butt" was up a tree 3 time in the last couple of days and it was wonderful. I shot at a buck and missed :::: in my best whiney voice::::::::::
You can't find a hard man? hmmmmmm stop looking in the nursing home for a date. J/k, I had to give you a HARD time!!!!!

Kat yea hunting stories are like fishing stories, some are actually true, but its no different than all other stories that people embelish. I justed with missed the shot, it wasn't because the wind was blowing, it wasn't because of anything but the fact that the arrow missed the target. I messed up.
Oh wait thats not right, the wind was blowing, there where tree limbs in the way, someone warned the deer, there were other deer looking at me so I couldn't shoot when I wanted...... if I can thing of other reasons why I missed I'll let you know
