I've just been so dang busy......with the new job and lots of volunteer work at the Am. Legion......geez, golf outings, helping friends move, out of town right b/f Labor Day weekend and............probably left something else out.........lol
I'm doing great just real busy......Guess I'll have to get my buns out of bed even earlier so that I can say good morning to the gang..........cya'll...........

It looks like its going to rain here............ there is a nice cool breeze and this coffee sure is good
snow go outside and wash your car......it always rains here right after I do that, but it only works when I leave it outside, so don't put it in a garage
I think this looks like a good day to get a few things done in the house since it looks like rain........ laundry, dishes, clean the house up some, put clean sheets on the bed, take a nap, think about getting the sheets messy........ damn I have to go before I get all worked "up" for no one but myself   | |

Well we finally got some rain after work this morning,,,the whole 10 mins of it! lol Barely was enough to get anything wet but at least we have a really nice breeze right now. Curtains are flowing as i type this. :)
Wont be going to the Sept. 29th party at Checkers. I am attending The Commodores Ball in honor of my dad and his wife at the boat club on that same night. Its not very often i get THAT dressed up so im really looking forward to this one.
Pretty sleepy this a.m.,,,,gonna be catching some  soon..

My son and my grand daughter drove up to visit and decided to spend the night..it was great..even cooked a big dinner..seemed so nice cooking for someone other then myself. He is going to take her on up to see the Mighty Mac Sunday...she has never seen it. Wow ! what a sight that will be for her...I see it alot ,but then I camp up in the u.p and sometimes take roadtrips that way.

Wish I could help you out with the ride, but I don't live in Sterling Heights anymore, moved out of the city about a week ago to the west side now. Hopefully someone from the east side can help you out with a ride to Kickers, would sure love to see you there.

It had a profound effect on my life six years ago. My son joined the United States Navy before 9/11 - and after the attack on our nation on 9/11, I was scared out of my mind for his life and all of our armed forces safety. Lest We Not Forget..........just my thoughts I thought I would share..

I hope everyone takes the time to remember what happened that horribly day. The useless loss of so many lives of those who had done nothing to hurt anyone. The children who never saw their mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and grandparents again because of it. The memories that so many who survived have to carry due to such an act of hatred.
The people of this country showed these terrorist zelots they couldn't destroy our country, freedom or our will. We pulled together and got stronger. No one cared about who was a democrate or republican. It didn't matter if you were rich or poor. Racism was set aside, no one cared about the color skin. No one was black or white, we were all Americans. We were proud to be in a place where you can be free to go to any church you choose. Free to say how we feel about our government and our leaders at every level from local to federal.
Keep the men and women who are serving our counrty in your thoughts today, they are defending the land we cherish, the freedom we enjoy. | |

Posted: 9/11/2007 7:25:00 AM | As I reflect back on the morning our wonderful nation was attacked, being at my desk and my boss asking not only the staff but all of the people that were there for service to gather in the conference room for prayer. At the time I was working at an agency that had to be cafreful about religious things in the workplace. that was all thrown out because we became family and united as citzens of this great country and asked for God's intervention and guidance.
After 6 years that prayer remains the same, but I honestly feel the barriers that were brought down on that day are still down and we are a better people as a whole. Do we still have a long way to go? Yes we do. But the light of God still shines thru us and we take to heart the really inportant things in life. Our fellow man.
Have a Blessed Day, and never cease to remember.

Boy did we get a really bad storm yesterday,,,,,,for all of 5 mins!! lol No kidding,,wind was blowing like mad and raining like cats n dogs,,the trees were justa swayin and whew,,it was nasty! Then,,,,like 5 mins later,,,,it was calm as could be with the sun shining! LOL We sure do have crazy weather here in Michigan dont we? lol
My dear Kat,,,,im not for sure yet on the Halloween bash. Ive been spending some hefty green on this Ball coming up (Sept 29th), plus i have a Halloween party on the 13th im already gonna be going to so i dont know about this one. I may know more 1 way or the other the closer it gets. Were you planning on going?

Happy early b-day kat, my sons in on the 18th and I was planning on going to Altlanta since he is turning 30 but now he has to go Cali for work  ........ geez it makes me feel old thinking my youngest is going to be 30
I had to take my truck into the body shop today, I parked it in the street a couple of weeks ago and someone clipped the mirror and fender without leaving a note, just kept going ........... what a pain in the butt
I got an antlerless deer licence, maybe I'll stay awake this year while I'm out in the woods and get a shot at one 
Rip have you been eating beans? You need to fart around b4 you sleep?

Like where did the years go? I look in the mirror and wonder who the heck that old lady is...LOL. But when I see my 3 kids I know where the years went...I always tell them they are getting old not me...I had my children very young. So the oldest is 44 and boys are 41 and 40...seems like I was just in my 40's...

Posted: 9/14/2007 12:55:37 AM | GOOD MORNING, Yes beautiful day(yesterday) here in Kalkaska too....the leaves are starting to change and wont be long they will be in their brillant colors of reds/oranges/yellows....but then get out the rakes...LOL..we have tourists spring ,summer and fall....well winter too...cant forget those hardy souls who go out and sno-mobile in the BRRRR cold weather..oh and the skiers too. It is so very beautiful up here no matter what time of year. I am glad I moved up here.
