|
| Workout music Posted: 8/14/2007 8:36:07 PM | | I try to have something with some beat to it while i dont actually focus entirely on the music. BT and some electronica work well for me. BassNectar, Oakenfold, stuff like that. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 8/14/2007 9:23:09 PM | Depends on my mood really, sometimes it's metal, sometimes rap, sometimes electronica....
I don't sit there and listen to most lyrics while I'm pushing weight up and down, it's mainly the beat. I'll listen to the lyrics while I rest between sets if need be, I already know the song cause I put in on my ipod for a reason.
|
| Workout music Posted: 9/10/2007 1:59:25 PM | | Usually just random metal. I did get my hands on a sped up ABBA cd which does surprisingly well. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 9/26/2007 10:35:36 PM | | Armin Van Buuren's latest state of trance is the standard but maybe some Dillinger Escape Plan. It's either bangin or violent as Vivaldi and adrenaline doesn't really mix. | |

| Workout music Posted: 9/28/2007 6:34:47 AM | Dance/House/Techno with a little Rock and Metal thrown in.
A guy that I work with is trying to get back into shape. He was telling me how he finally got around to taking his iPod with him on a run and how the music just kept him going. I told I won't run UNLESS I have mine with me.

| Workout music Posted: 9/28/2007 9:32:47 AM | Tragically, I've lost the adapter for my flash mp3 player so I can no longer add/remove tracks from it. I'm stuck with the same 40-ish tracks, in the same order, for every workout from now until the end of time.
(or until I get a replacement)

| road rage` Posted: 9/30/2007 1:28:04 PM | I would have to agree with anything that is upbeat. I like flashdance and footloose. fergie, chris brown, panic at the disco, fall out boy, whatever your preferences are. When you listen to the radio what makes you heart start beating or gets you moving. That is what i would go with. I personally like anything with drums that has a good beat. Holly | |

| road rage` Posted: 10/2/2007 10:51:56 PM | | Anything godsmack. Rammstein, disturbed. Basically anything that has a heavy beat to it. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 10/4/2007 12:54:00 AM | I love the 80's Always has such a good beat to jump around too! | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 10/30/2007 12:46:39 AM | .......the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" soundtrack....
What can I say, I like martial arts, and I liked the show as a kid and it had kickass songs during the fights. -- although the "He-Man & the Masters of the Universe" theme is fun for weightlifting. (ahh the 8Os and 90s shows had such good music lol)

| Workout music Posted: 11/20/2007 8:09:35 PM | There's a site called Pod runner (http://www.djsteveboy.com/podrunner.html) that has a weekly podcast of workout music. Each week is at a different bpm (beats per minute).
At first I wasn't into the electronica style of it too much, but having a constant bpm helped me pace myself during long runs (20+ km). After a while, I totally "zoned into" his stuff. This guy is great.
|
| Workout music Posted: 11/21/2007 7:15:20 AM | Well right now my kick is Tool...which is pretty heavy and keeps me going. Jambi, The Pot, Aenima...etc.
"girl power" songs indeed work for me too. Irreplaceable - Beyonce Independent Woman - Destiny's Child Just a Girl - No Doubt B1tch - Meredith Brooks Stupid Girls - Pink Workout Song - Kanye West It's my Life - Gwen Stefani...MY FAVORITE.
There is a site that I have been using called Podfitness. (www.podfitness.com) It's takes a little to set it up, but the jist is you pick your trainer, and the type of workout you want and merge the trainers voice with your (legal) music on your computer. In the end, you have your own trainer in your ear telling you what to focus on...and some jammin tunes on in the background. I personally have used it for pilates workout.

| Workout music Posted: 11/21/2007 10:21:27 AM | Just to name a few while running
