| Workout music Posted: 12/2/2007 9:30:43 PM | If you like metal kind of music then Static X - Beneath...Between...Beyond. is good. Its got a good, almost techno beat to most of it. Songs like Anything But This and Lovedump ought to rage up just about anyone. Buckcherry's Time Bomb has a sort of classic rock feel to it thats great to groove to. Then there's the modern classics Lit Up and Crazy ****. | |

| Workout music Posted: 12/5/2007 11:01:45 PM | the music that I listen to while working out is Underground hip-hop...
I would love to work out with some trance music, rock, and/or classical

| Workout music Posted: 12/8/2007 8:14:32 PM | I am looking for a set of really addictive workout tracks. Ideally a video but can be a Cd with or without voiceover. I would rather be able to buy it, I dont have the time (or money) to put together my own homemade exercise tape.
Do you have or know of a workout tape that has really hip music? Out with the Madonna and Shakira, these might be no name groups but the music is motivating. I'm especially interested in abs workouts or aerobics videos.

| Workout music Posted: 12/9/2007 6:43:58 PM | | I'll play almost anything.... maybe not Moby though. When I was kickboxing the instructor would play Prodigy about half the time and that seems to work. Rob Zombie works well too. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 12/9/2007 9:05:33 PM | | i prefer heavy metal when i lift my free weights, the irony of it gives me motivation. either that or it's just the fast paced music to keep you determined. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 12/10/2007 12:11:33 PM | "Toss the machines around!?
LMFAO
Anyway, when I work out I generally listen to hard, industrial or euphoric trance

| Workout music Posted: 12/11/2007 12:50:44 AM | Music w/ steady beats, deep bass, growling guitars, howling vocals, and pounding drums are my main musical fuel to keep my blood flowing. On my ipod it be Pantera, Fear Factory, Rob Zombie, Metallica, and Alice n Chains to name a couple. 2Pac and dmx are cool on occasion. At times when I don't bring my ipod I dig the dance and rock tunes played over the satellite stations at the gyms. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 12/11/2007 1:53:11 AM | a variety of things! but mainly rock, for running i need real motivation/distraction so i listen to drum and bass! loving velvet revolver at the moment for the cross trainer and kings of leon when im doing weights! | |

| Workout music Posted: 12/11/2007 8:27:01 AM | I'm weird and like to do stuff to the beat. Luckily, being a DJ I can tailor my music by BPM to match what I want to do speedwise...
I playlist a combo of upbeat dance, rock and techno on the ipod to get my workout done. Anything from The pussycat Dolls to Green Day to Fatboy Slim to Matchbox 20 to Darude. Thank God for music, I really don't know what I'd do without it.
I do weights and pilates/yoga in classes or to videos...but when I do stuff like that in the gym, I like to pump iron to classic metal and newer rock. Flyleaf, AC/DC, Three Days Grace, Def Leppard, Chevelle, Disturbed, Nickelback, etc.
And hitting a dance floor at least once a week doesn't hurt either.

| Workout music Posted: 4/29/2008 6:45:57 PM | i think that classical, jazz, techno and new age are good solid choices to help get the mind body and spirit into the groove and getting that ole butt of mine in gear.

| Workout music Posted: 5/10/2008 3:16:09 PM | I used to love the old skool days when hardcore techno dance music filled the gyms I used to train in with all the tunes, especially when doing hi repetition training or cardio.
For heavy lifting, like when I did bench press with over 300 lbs (many years ago), nothing beats the heavy metal.
I prefer awesome music beamed out in the gym rather than just ipods etc. I used to love an energetic atmosphere of the gym.

| Workout music Posted: 5/14/2008 10:47:51 AM | ipod is loaded with stp, incubus, redhot chili peppers, and coldplay for cooldown | |

| Workout music Posted: 5/17/2008 6:16:42 AM | Heavy Metal is a no brainer for sure. Rollins Band, Helmet, Handsome, TOOL, Rage Against the Machine is a personal favorite for me.
But Heavy Metal can't touch what good techno can do for you.
I challenege you to download and listen to a Burufunk mix that is legally downloadable. You want the "Spring Fling 2007" mix, although they will all whup your ass.
To try to put it into perspective, when I listen to a Burufunk mix which is 50+ minutes, I will ride my bike ~30KM (usually in an hour, so its a pretty heavy workout to maintain that speed on a bike especially with major grade changes all over). If I listen to other REALLY great music, no matter the genre, I will ride 6 to 10KM.

| Workout music Posted: 5/17/2008 8:08:22 AM | | Definitely would be mostly anything 80's. I love the beat, it keeps me on my toes. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 5/25/2008 6:43:37 PM | | I only listen to music when I work out alone. In the gym, I'm usually having a conversation with someone. | |
|
| Workout music Posted: 5/25/2008 10:21:35 PM | Just the other day I downloaded some top 40 music from a play list from the bar I goto...
I find the faster beats help elivate my heart rate and keep it pumpin' -- heavy metal is good for actually lifting weights, cause it's angry and aggressive. Same for hardcore rap.
Cardio = Hoppy music Lifting = Angry music.
