1)I'm not angry at you I pity you but am not angry.I hoped that you can read your own post and see the illogic in MUCH of it and the mamy stereotipcal generalities you make.
2)Its good that you have learned from some of your past expericences......my point isn't to shame you for using drugs rather to get you to look at the things you say more rationally.
3)I cannot make you out to be anything you are not. Honestly,......I think you are very misguided,SOMETIMES well intentioned but very misguided.Sometimes,you come off like Archie Bunker/Rush doughboy Limpall....I make fun of some of the things you say because some of them seems to come out of the mouth of 1 of those 2.
I don't know you,just your post......my only point here is THINK about things beyond the superficial......don't fall into the trap of stereotyping and making such outrageous stereotypes.This thread on "Mexicans" taking over"seems to do nothing more than inflame,particularly when you use negative stereotypes as YOU have. If these people need to come over illegaly because they can't afford to do it legally, then once they get here why don't they actively work towards citizenship? | |

Everything from sanctions imposed on Mexico to clean up their country. Heavier observation and consequences for companies that employ illegal workers. To preventing any unsavory Mexicans from entering, which would mean tighter border control. | |

Posted: 5/7/2005 1:46:28 PM | I heard about the billboard brou-haha on "Lou Dobbs Tonight" on CNN.
Personally, I'm not offended by it, but I do think it's a stupid billboard message. If you actually look at the images of the newcasters they look like caricatures of (mexican) Indians rather than actual real people.
The owner of the TV station in question also has a reality show called "gana del verde" or something like that. It's a "fear factor" kind of contest among illegal alien competitors to win all-expenses paid legal submission to the US Government for a green card.
The stunts they have to do are actually really risky. One example I saw involved an illegal alien Mexican jumping from one moving vehicle onto another one alongside it. I guess these are the real "jobs no american would do."

I'm attempting to refrain for making fun of that post.You REALLY should learn more about the topic.You admit here to not knowing the problems with the process.So,let me just say to your question;Many do.1 problem is once illegally here its difficult to get citizenship.Mexicans use to be able to marry into citizenship in a sense,no longer.
I have a friend who is illegally here.He has been here long enough to pass any requirements for citizenship.He pays taxes,is a regional loss prevention manager for Kmart.He owns a home,married and now divorced from an American.He uses an assumed identity,has done so for 15yrs.He considers himself American...MexicanAmerican.He has no desire to return to Mexico,his Spanish is basically gone Yet,when he looked into the process of properly establishing citizenship he found 1) too much paperwork and few chances of getting approved without having to go to Mexico and wait. 2)He lives works and votes as an American citizen with drivers liscense obtained via false Birth certificate,he'd leave himself open to criminal proscecution for basically living as an tax paying American
My point:the issues are very complex,but generalities are uncalled for.If a wise open fact seeking forum is sought...don't use stereotypes....use facts,wisdom and logic | |

Chinese and Mexican officials reached an agreement today, to the mutual exchange of populations, pollution, crimes and music etc. etc. Chinese and Mexican peoples are now preparing to evacuate their former countries and are standing by, if not already underway in boats, planes,rick-shaws, burros and container ships. Part of the agreement and very idea was partly due to Americans being sick of illegal Mexicans who wanted to take back what was taken from them; namely Texas and California Territories. The Chinese were primarly motivated by Climate conditions. The US isn't quite sure as to how to re-act to these circumstances. Many Americans resent both "legal" and "illegal" Mexicans comming in to the US earning money, buying property and even various busines'es, yet have no qualms about Isrealies doing the same for the last 50 years, but then again they are "special" and certainly not "coloured" nor speak Spanish....
Stay tuned for further developments as they are sure to occur.

My friends DO like like to be called Indians. My family, includng myself would rather be called Indian. I mean if you were born in America, wouldn't you be native to America?
I'm from the Crow tribe. My step mom is Cherokee. Some close friends are Creek and Choctaw. We prefer Indian. And yes, my ancestors were here before the "white man". I'm over it. So what. That's life. In the mean time, I was born here, and pay taxes here, I donate to charities here and I will die here. This is my country. It's everyone's really. Anyone who wants to come here, can. But they should be legal.
I feel for the friend who has been here so long, and for whatever reason cannot get citizenship. But that menas that he's been here illegally for 15 years. On his side, he won't get any benefits from taxes he is paying. He won't get his SS, either. If I were him, I'd throw a fit till I DID get my citizenship. It sounds like he deserves it. Untill he does though, He's illegal. And paves the way for others to follow in his footsteps. He is committing crimes by just living here, and living under a false identity. I feel sorrier for the person who's ID he's using. He may consider himself an American, or Mexican American, but he's not untill he's legal.
Also, I totally agree about going after Employers of Illegal aliens. Or is it Immigrants? Dunno- the shiny happy people found one of them offensive, and I don't remember which one. But these businesses are taking advantage opf people to save a few bucks for their own pockets, and are hurting the Americans who would otherwise be paying taxes, and feeding their American children.
And it's not true (and if it were, it would be a total SHAME) that Mexicans do only the work that another American wouldn't want to. Last summer I worked construction.I helped build a mechanic shop, including electrical work, sheetroc/insulation, ceilings, brick work. ect. After that was over, I had a job at a Mechanic shop, and moved later into Detail. I can't get that same job now, because they've hired a Mexican under the table. (most mechanic work is considered sub contracted, as well as Detail.) They won't hire me back, not because of performance, but because they "can't" afford me. The only job I could find that gave me full time work in a hurry was a dollar store. Making half of what I made. I would SO much rather be changing oil, or cleaning cars. But the illegal will do it for alot less. Blame the Mexican? Nope. Blame the Employer. | |

Or maybe the takeover of the southwestern border states is a good thing. We need the hard work of those people who break their backs working for small wages. It's a shame the U.S. has hit the point where you can't live very well here much longer on minimum wage. So the middles class and poorer workers of the U.S. origin do get the shaft a lot. I don't know the answer. Guess we'll have to work things out. But Mexico needs us and we need them. | |

If it makes you sleep better at night calling us Native Americans then well, good. But my family and friends prefer Indian. And I don't care what revised dictionary you found the definition in. Look up the Def. in a dictionary 10 years ago, when we weren't so worried about political correctness. Every heard of Cowboys and Indians, the game you play as a kid? What about the Indians and Pilgims you learn about at Thanksgiving. How about the counting game 10 little Indians? One little two little three litte Indians...We weren't singing about India. You know, if you're worried about geography, then call us American Indians. But we're still Indians. Doesn't matter how you slice that pie. | |
