Advice please on installing laminate floors

toobad??? homedepot told you to use drywall compound to act as a floor leveler?? lmao, did they also tell you to screw down your old floor with drywall screws? lol, drywall compund is made for drywall not a floor leveler, just like a drywall screw is made to screw in drywall and not flooring..................

Advice please on installing laminate floors

Took bits and pieces of everyones advice. Stipped all the old parquette off to see what the foundation was like. Good base floors, some were concrete. Good thing I did that, different type of underpadding required for concrete base.
Got all the good underpadding, made sure all nails were pounded down and no loose floor boards.
Used the nails as suggetested as guide lines, borrowed a good mitre saw and now my floors look great.
They are so nice they look like real hardwood.
Thank-you everyone for your help and advice!
