My old girlfriend (meaning olden days, not that she was) had a Mercury Cougar and it was a fun car to drive. One rainy day we got rear-ended. Another time I was drining it and some dingdong clipped the front left fender. It still was fun but it started looking pretty rough. I bet I could say the same for he by now, ha, sorry if you're reading this, just kidding, you'll always be hot.

And every cougar deserves a young guy

The last thing that I want now is another marriage! And I don't want to sit on a couch with an older man watching TV!

Young guys are great - oh, and Mercury Cougars are hot.....

What's the term for a 45 year old man who goes for younger women? I bet it's not a tiger.

bound2happen, you are way too young to be a "cougar" in the sense that I take it. Nor should you be thinking like that anyway. Lookachoo.

Cougar or Horndog - either way, it's my opinion that a male or female that requires someone much younger is either satisfying their desire for a trophy or have some issues about coping with their own age or their age group (peers).

I mentioned in another thread that we have all grown up with our peers of the same age through childhood, school, sports, entertainment, employment, etc. Now it has come to a point where you prefer not to establish a lasting relationship with your own age group.

The excuses for seeking older or younger people have appeared to be more of an insult to your own age group. From what I've learned, it creates a tension within the peer group when together. Maybe that is why many (not all) don't associate with their peers when gatherings are scheduled.

I am not carving my belief in stone because I can accept if I am mistaken.

I can only speak for myself. I don't need a trophy - in fact it can feel a little awkward going out with someone a generation younger. And the only issue I cope with is that as much as I like my contemporaries, I have not had good luck dating them.

When I first was single again, I did go out with guys my age, but then the younger ones kept asking me out, and I found out I had a much better time.

I have always been unconventional, and the older I get, the more comfortable I am with that.

Sweetnsassy34 hit the nail on the head. For the most part that's the only reason I would want an older woman. I don't think I could ever marry or even have a serious relationship with one. It's all about the experience and the no strings attached.

As for why she's getting hit on by all these younger guys. It's because she's hot.

When i was 19, I had a sexual relationship with a woman who was 40. it was purely for sex. She would not even acknowledge me if she saw me outside of her house. It lasted for about 2 years. She would just call me up and tell me to get over to her house. I had been her paperboy when I was younger and saw her again one nite at the local mall. We got to talking, she asked me if I was seeing anyone, I said I wasn't. She asked me if I would be interested in some fun. I said sure and jumped at the chance, everytime she called. She was attractive, divorced and vey sexual. I learned alot from her. She dumped me when she met a guy more her age. I wouldn't trade those years for anything. However now, I don't think I would want to date a girl to much younger than 27.

I have to admit that i have become somewhat of a cougar afficianado(sp) as of late. it seems that there is a cougar magnet planted on me somewhere and i can't find it. not that i am complaining because i think olderr women are wonderful. interesting, able to deal w/anything, and honest, moreso than younger women on the whole. i am not technically a "younger" man now at 31 but still look 25. cougs are great to experiment with and learn from and can still "party" when the need arises. i wonder what their attraction to me is. maybe its my " i pump cougars" or "my other ride is your mother" t shirts.

Older have more experience, we know what we like and know exactly how we want it.. No games just some serious fun and we go for it. From what I hear lately is that the younger generations find everything degrading, gross or for some odd reason just plain rude.. Sex is just that, you need to explore have fun, be open to anything and everything that 2 people can enjoy and even try it a second time if the first time you did'nt enjoy it.. Im still not interested in guys under the age of 27 and thats preference for me, just too many runs in with guys that age not being mature enough yet and not into getting trashed when you tell them your not into them

Personally....I love dating younger men. I find them more fun, more energetic and yes sexier!
Younger men tend to gravitate toward me...it's not just me. The truth is though its not a gf they are after its purely sexual. I honestly believe I like younger men because its good for my Ego....I feel younger when im with them and get a kick out of knowing a young stud interested in me and not the 22 year old Barbie next to me. Shallow perhaps but True!

I love older women. That's all I date. I had one who was 10 years older than me. Give me a a 30something year old any day. They sure beat 20somethings in the maturity department and they look more womanly too.

I like to think of myself as a cougar or even a milf... what is the difference really. and yes being a cougar is about sex and GREAT sex.. I enjoy a younger man, they have great stamina (without viagra) and great turn around time. so Ican have 36 orgasms in 1 hour instead of in a year. I do have age limit, can not be under 21. you have to be old enough to buy me a drink. so come on boys dont be scared...lol

Not all of us want kittens as you put it.......

Some of us prefer to not even think about the age part, and concentrate on the total of the one we are with, and that includes body, mind, and soul.

I am happy to date those my age, those older, and those younger as well, just as long as there is mutual attraction, chemistry and compatibility, and that last one is the hardest to find.

OT........I guess at my age, a cougar would be 60, and if I meet a fit, trim, good looking woman that age that can meet my needs, and me hers, why not?

Just my opinion.......

Sure they do.

What all these "cougars" are forgetting, is that for every Cougar, there's a hunter. And what does the hunter do with the cougar once he bags it?

Well, he sure doesn't marry it and start a family, or even a LTR. He stuffs it and puts it in his den, then brags to all his buddies about it.

"Show me a man who for whatever reason, does not have any luck with the women his own age and younger that he genuinely does find attractive... and I'll show you a man who likes Cougars. "

Ever think that perhaps it is not just about sex? Age is just a number. Experiences for somepeople are less vast than people half their age, or vice versa. I find PERSONALITY is pinnacle and in some older ladies, it is the wit and rapor that is the turn on, not just the physical aspects. If they happen to look good in stilettos and a short skirt, so be it... added bonus :)
