| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/23/2009 3:20:44 PM | | I will hit on a cougar at a bar for the free drinks. There is no way in hell I am going to have sex with her, though. | |

| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 4/23/2009 3:53:21 PM | Am I the only guy who finds this whole cougar thing just plain comical? Yeah in Hollywood you're going to find some attractive 30-somethings, who have been trainer-reared airbrushed most of their lives so they can keep up their careers. However most later twenty somethings look older than them and the real life 30 somethings look much worse than that. Oh are you going to say older women are less irrational than younger girls? I don't know about wisdom or experience but they definitely have baggage and angst in far greater quantities than younger girls.
Oh and they have the saggy gams.

| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 4/23/2009 6:13:10 PM | | This whole MILF Cougar thing is comical. Last night a group of us girl friends stopped at a lounge after working out at the gym. Here comes a group of 30 & early 40 year old guys. They sit next to us & start flirting. We've been putting up with this type of guy for 20 years now. Slut puppies, guys who can't get women their own age, so they think older women are so desperate we will take them. Or the guys that have been told they are lousy in bed & want an older woman to show them how. Now why would we want to bother? Because some women, just like some men can be dogs, they locker room talk & poke fun at your inadequacies. They buy you drinks & laugh at how you get so excited because they spent $50 on you, big deal, most cougars have money & $50 to pay for a good story is nothing. My cougar gf's never have any intentions of marrying the slut puppies. They were just there for bragging rights. In fact, usually it's the guys that won't leave. Slut puppies are just the male version of gold diggers. The whole thing is comical. But- to each their own. | |

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/23/2009 9:37:23 PM | I have always being attractive to older woman.
My first crush when I was 9, was this blond girl of age 12, that was in the same class as me.
All the boys would go after her, but I didn't, because of that she would pursue me all the time, and I was to stupid, and would run off, every time she would try to approach.
When I was 12, there was this 26 years old beautiful brunet that would work with my mother. She keep saying "if you were at list 8 years older then me I would married you", she would say the same thing to my mother. Why did I had to be born 8 years later?
With her I had no problem talking too, I knew that was no chance anything would happen anyway, the worst thing was, my mother quit the job, and we move far away after only 3 months knowing her, and I never see her again.
Like you said older women usually don't go for young guys, so I was doomed from the start of my life.
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/23/2009 10:59:41 PM | Seems like younger men want an older woman until the one they are waiting for comes around. I won't date the really younger ones.
I know one who has my personality to a tee. I thnk "Damn wish he was closer to my age". But common sense says he's 11 yrs younger, no kids, never married. I have 2 teenage sons.
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/23/2009 11:10:07 PM | I heard somewhere that a woman in their 40's on up is a cougar, and now theres a new term for the 30's....puma. I think its true a lot of young men are looking for older women...as a convenience store clerk I am amazed at the amount of 19-25 year olds ready to hand me their numbers. Yikes. my son is gonna be 17 this summer!!!!! and his friends think i'm a MILF. double yikes. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/24/2009 12:32:03 AM | ^^^^^ so what the term for women in their 20's? Bobcat? lol....
do i even want to ask about 50's? .....
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/24/2009 3:59:05 AM | Hell I'm no cougar!
I am only interested in guys who are 40 plus...........................LOL
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 4/24/2009 8:05:47 AM | You know Gladys..........I feel your pain when it comes to young ones sitting next to a group of mature women and seeing what is available......
I have been on many many adventures riding my Harley and stopping at certain places with fellow riders to enjoy a drink, listen to a band play and be surrounded by others that are there for many purposes.
Almost always there will be those men and women that fit the mode of boy and cougar floating around waiting to pounce on one another.
Now, when I see women that want to be with men their own age, or just to relax with those they know there, and these boys hit on them, most will be annoyed and swat them away like flies. There are however, those cougars that I watch with a smile on my face, that will look the room over, see their choices, and more times than not, head right for the boys, letting them buy the drinks, and work on having them.
Most of this is just comical, and it becomes a fun day of people watching, to enjoy the dynamics of boys and cougars, and older men and the girls they hit on as well. It seems to me that just enjoying the best that is there, that matches you as closely as possible is much more productive and realistic, but alas, we all have our fantasies and egos to deal with as well.......go figure.
Just my opinion.........

Once you hit a certain age, and me and you have hit that age, the age difference matters less. Guys in their early 40's are in your age group. I am 52 and would not think of someone 42 as being that much younger.
Age has nothing to do with what you wrote, that is just a man at any age with a huge character flaw.
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 4/24/2009 8:55:21 AM | BCSOFNC57, yeah you are probably right, it's a character flaw not an age thing. I guess the more you mature the more likely you are to not put up with BS. Usually when the youngins attack our table, I swat them away, nicely of course. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 4/24/2009 8:58:31 AM | I think the factor that more older women aren't looking so "old" anymore is attractive. Add to that the amount of media that glorifies it. Be it Stifler's Mom to all the porn out there utilizing older stars as "cougars" and "MILFs".
I also think that for some, it's just a desire for a level-headed drama-free woman. Face it, if you're in your 20s or early 30s, and it seems every woman you meet is a psychological mess and/or immature, you start upping the age auntie because you don't want things to be some complex.
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/24/2009 12:55:32 PM | Some people are more on the ball and experienced thn an others. Try and up your game.
"Everyone is" x or y is the wrong mindset.
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/24/2009 1:54:51 PM | | I attract younger guys...I don't want them. Doesn't make me a cougar. I don't date anyone under 29 or over 40 because I would like someone who can hold a conversation and has some stability in there life..like a job. or and education is good too. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/25/2009 7:23:03 AM | I wouldn't have one. The ones I've met have been pretty shallow. I do get a good chuckle tho seeing them react when they have to deal with some guys kids who can't stand them or when their piece of meat dumps them for someone younger.
I remember a doctor I used to know who did an operation for a family member. His wife left him for someone half her age. About how long do you think the new guy hung around after her divorce money ran out? It was about two months. The Doc refused to take her back.

| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 4/25/2009 7:51:55 AM | I'm not a cougar- at least I don't think so, but I've dated younger guys. You know why? Guys my age- too much baggage! Still say "wife" when in reality it's "ex-wife" or "late wife"....nervous, scared, no fun, or grossly immature.
How refreshing to be w/ a man who isn't mooning over an "ex", or worried about his penis working...who doesn't want to just plop on a recliner every night w/ a remote in his hand.
Most of the 40+ men I've met should hang their head in shame

(Gladys Friday) ARLO got a giggle out of that one.
I aim to please...
But don't forget it goes both ways.
I feel like I'm in an episode of "The Twilight Zone":
[ ROD SERLING VOICE ]
"Witness, if you will, a man trapped in a world where attractive women wanna have casual sex with him, and form no long-lasting commitments... welcome to... The NSA Zone..."

| Building better mouse traps since 2005! Posted: 4/25/2009 2:37:07 PM | | The "M" in MILF stands for "mother" and to use cougar and milf interchangeably is wrong. I am 47 years old and I have NO children so I am not a milf but I maybe considered a Cougar. And that label in only the fact I find younger men attractive and have and will continue to date them but it is NOT for sexual gratification. I am looking for a longterm relationship with someone who I find mentally and physically attractive. So far, both criteria has been found in younger men - atleast this is applies to me, alone. All these generalizations are what makes me laugh. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/25/2009 9:49:10 PM | | Pfffft.....I was fending off the cougars for awhile and finally raised my age limit. Ha! | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/26/2009 7:43:35 AM | | I don't go after young men and, most of the time, I don't date them. There ae occaional exceptions. There are youngr men out there who have their act together more then men twice their age. I have a general ten year rule. I try to stay within 10 years of my age, either younger or older | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/26/2009 1:11:29 PM | | In some Native American cultures, the young men marry widows, and when the older one dies, he gets a young maiden to marry. They each learn from eachother. The older ones need to be reminded of their inner young person. The young ones learn maturity. Kinda cool. I started out a reluctant MILF when my son's friends started looking at me funny. Cute, but not something I'd ever go for. After my son was grown & gone, I got on POF thinking to hook up w/ guys in my age group. I never suspected how many young guys would be hitting on me. And it's NOT for free drinks...Then one day, when I was just complimenting a younger fellow on his photos, not thinking anything would become of it, he got all flirty & the lightbulb went off. I realized I could totally hit that for real. Turned out to be hotter than Georgia asphalt. I like a guy in good shape & handsome no matter what the age. Hot is hot, and if a man takes care of himself in body, spirit & mind, that's HOT! He also has to be a hard workin man. That turns me on more than anything. The biggest difference in the ages, I have found, is that a younger man is more comfortable with the woman having control over the situation, and is happy to let her do her thing. | |
