| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/26/2009 4:55:36 PM | When I first started dating again, I was attracted to a guy that was 24, he was attracted to me and well, I guess I became a cougar. I at that time was vulnerable, extremely surprised that he would even be interested in someone my age (not knowing at that time anything about cougar), and thought well, "I still got it". Much to my surprise, *laugh*, it did not work out and we both moved on, it did last about 1/2 a year, but I know now that that much younger is not mentally in the place I am (forgetful) *LOL* and that although we had a lot in common, it was not enough because we were two very different places in life. He's just starting wanting to have a kids and family and settle down or not, and I've done the marriage thing, had kids and am full aware of who I am and what I want and where I'm going in life. So cougar no more.... | |

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 10:33:51 AM | | I hear you, Sweetpea. Couger game is not husband material. They're 2 seperate things. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 11:08:09 AM | This is without a doubt the most laughing I've done in weeks! Thanks! And for the record...I don't think there are that many out there looking for "older" women! | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 1:47:06 PM | | Still Hopeful, you would be very surprised how many young men there are who enjoy the company of older women. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 3:56:12 PM | Let's be honest here Older women know how to **** real good than younger women. In today's time the world like to look at older women and younger men more than older guy and young woman Older women been in and out od bullshit half they lives. When they get to that point in they lives. They kick that old guy on out and get a young guy to train. | |

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 7:19:47 PM | | I know there are a lot of men out there who chase older women. I have been told it's because we have our act together more than women their own age. I have also been told it's sexual since women in their 30's and 40's tend to want sex more often than younger women. Who knows? I do know I don't think there is much relationship potential there but it's not all bad either. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 8:05:36 PM | There are 100 reasons why I am atracted to older women, but for everyone's benefit I'll only hit the high points. My top ten reasons to date older woman. I am 24 and divorced btw.
10. Have their act together: hygenically, physically, spiritually, financially, emotionally 9. Good conversationalists, I hope 8. Don't have to explain themselves to friends / family 7. Hopefully they read, and no : cosmo, us weekly, and star don't count. 6. Taste in Music: just better on average 5. Ability to speak their mind and communicate 4. Like to dance: I'm not talking just grinding hips together, but they aren't too shabby at it either 3. Willingness to "try new things" 2. Sexual Prowess 1. KNOWS WANTS AND NEEDS AND EXPRESSES THEM VERBALLY
While all those traits are great, I apparently am not cougar material, yet. Any takers??

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/29/2009 11:40:12 PM | ^^^^^^^^^^^^ But then your profile here says you want children. Should we all rightfully assume then that you're after cougars, not for their non-existent child-bearing abilities, but for your #3, 2 and 1, and for the short term? | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/30/2009 12:26:14 AM | | I 'dated' a 42 yr old woman when I was 24, but it was all about the sex, believe it or not I cut it off cause I was getting sick of the whole unemotional superficiality of it all, she thought I was crazy, I prefer to date women within 5 years of my age, but Im not opposed to dating younger or older woman. | |

Not necessary. He is 24. A woman in her mid 30s still could have children.

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/30/2009 8:34:15 AM | For sure! Found one on recent vacation, but just a fling. You take your time and every precaution the older you get. Maybe that is why you haven't landed on sanity yet. I just want them Employed & Breathing & comes with the Ability to Make Decisions without the Big Compromise. Not much to ask for huh?
Cougars definitely have the energy, innocence and willingness. Takes me back to those College Years. AHHH! To be one. Mercy!

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/30/2009 10:01:42 AM | This is classic wicked-lamppost theorem Which is a form of hormonal objectification in this instance
Interesting if the wordage is revered it translate to dirty olde man syndrome!
mind you I have talked to a couple of girls on this site who believe they are destined to appeal to the younger forever as they buy the crap they be sent often, mind you they had to knock 7-14 years of their actual ages. Whilst predatory stalking their new found hormonally driven victims.
Age is never an excuse for the right reasons (i dont think raging hormones can be decreed as such)

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 4/30/2009 4:17:36 PM | trailgirl:
if you took the time to read and analyze my profile, and the only detractor you found was my want for offspring, then thanks. If that is the only obstacle standing between me and my dream cougar, consider it changed.
I wasn't only talking about 40 yr + cougars but older woman in general. In all seriousness, I would like someone closer to my age, but have yet to find all of those qualities in someone.

| Everyone Wants a Cougar - Everyone deserves one too. Posted: 5/1/2009 5:05:28 PM | Five of us ladies were drinking at the pub the other dayand were called cougars by some guys at the next table! We took it as a bit of fun [our ages range from 34 to 43]. But genually I like the look , energy and humour of a younger man. Actually had a few encounters with guys younger and they are usually fun and more turned on than alot of older guys. In saying this, there is definately a cut of point to how young you go. Thats my opinion anyway | |

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 2:17:34 AM | | I don't want one. Older women do nothing for me. I don't need anyone's money, either. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 4:17:52 AM | | Well, I'm one hour away from having a date with a 44-year old woman. I'm 32. So what's all that about? Well, first of all I'm not a "boy" in his 20's anymore but a grown up guy. Of course 12 years is a big difference but then again, we're both adults. She obviously doesn't mind dating me and the feeling's mutual. It simply depends on what age both are at before you can start calling it ridiculous. I'd say that if the guy's at least 30 it doesn't matter how old she is. | |

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 5:22:18 AM | | I just got on this site about a week ago and am apaulled that my name means something other than what I thought it did.My kids go to a school that "cougar" is the mascot. Thus, cougarmom. I am 45. Any advice? Should I change my name? I don't want that perception out there as I have never heard cougar used in this context. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 6:09:40 AM | Any advice? Should I change my name? Yes you should, unless you want to embrace the meaning as understood by most. That name, on a dating site has one association only for the vast majority of members. Add to that your age, and there is no way anyone isn't making that assumption about your choice of name.
So if you don't care to embrace the title, a username change will be needed!
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 6:15:55 AM | | Thanks for your honest opinion. I have been out of the dating scene for so long. I guess things have changed a lot since the last time I even thought about dating. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 6:16:54 AM | | Yes, everybody will think the name cougarmom means you are seeking younger men. Unfortunate for you but true. | |
|
| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 8:09:48 AM | Unfortunate? Embrace the Cougar!!! With a name like that, they'll be beating....the door down LOL How bout some new name choices for our reluctant cougar mom? Here's a few; Porkmypuddin Widereciever Wankerwoman Buttflix Youngngreazy Whoreheart Cattlecall
What? I didn't know those had any meaning...

| Everyone Wants a Cougar Posted: 5/2/2009 6:25:59 PM | It's funny...this post was started three years ago and I just recently learned what a cougar is. I am much more accustomed to dating older men. My late husband was much older. I have since dated younger men and don't feel the same ...bond...men my age or older seem to have the similarities in background that I need...
Younger men for example often have never sat with a sick child all night. I am generally shocked when a man nearly half my age takes interest...to me they look like little boys.
