I was wondering why women post pictures of thier breast on thier profile?
Probably the same reason why guys post pictures of their "rippling abs and biceps"...
It's offensive regardless which sex posts pictures like that. It cheapens them and reduces them to a mere object to salivate over.
Show some class and post a decent picture of yourself, that's what will impress me.

(2) If you make it in private with your honey, make it naked but wear an apron.

Posted: 6/16/2005 11:17:42 AM | Women post pictures of their breasts because it grabs attention. Unfortunately, it garners the wrong kind of attention. They may not even know any better. It's a shame because we are soooooo much more than breasts.
They also think that this is what guys want. I firmly believe that any guy who responds to their ad, will be the wrong guy. If you are looking for a relationship to last, it won't be based on your breasts. | |

I have no control over what you do, nor do I desire any. I have enough on my plate trying to decide what I should and shouldn't do. 
(However, I am always entitled to my opinion regarding why anyone would expose themselves to others online). | |

Posted: 6/16/2005 11:45:01 AM | IMAQT you are said it perfectly. It's one thing if you are looking to arouse men right off the bat, but if you want them to notice the real you first then I would strongly suggest a picture of your face or something other than your breasts.
Men are all horny all the time. I know. I am one. I would find it hard to truely respect a woman that shows her breasts to everybody she talks to on here. I don't mean to offend anybody but that's just how I feel. | |

Posted: 6/16/2005 5:07:57 PM | I have no earthly idea why a woman would do such a thing. Until you said it, I didn't even know that it was an option. I have a blog in which I discuss my divorce and my dating experiences, google my name if is a segment of the male population that is extremely in to such things. These women have probably received some degree of postive reinforcement (usually cash or jewelry) from doing things like this. It "works" for them. They are actually pretty sad if you think about it. That's the best that they can come up with...they are trying to attract a man and instead of attempting to use their brains and words to do so...they are using the best that they have. I can't imagine that things would get any better in their minds...if they had one, they would use it. If I were a guy, I would run like hell if one of them approached me.
I have been a bit curious as to why some of the men would just post their torso's. Odd isn't it? There's one guy who just puts the top of his head in his profile. Go figure. | |

I think men who only post their torso and not their face, are ashamed to be seen having to find a date on a dating site, and afraid that anyone they know will see them and know the truth about them. As if it mattered. As if anyone cared. However, they probably boast to their friends and co-workers about how "easy" it is for them to meet women everywhere, at the market, walking into work, etc., when the fact is that in today's world it's very very difficult to meet, for everybody, not just them. (We no longer live in little towns and safe neighborhoods where everyone knows everyone).
Maybe they need to get a life and stop thinking that it's all about them. Then they wouldn't need to leave their head out of the picture, literally and figuratively.  | |

most likely not their own torso...ive seen 1 guy here who had a full head to toe pic of his overweight self...change it to a headless muscular body shot a month later.
but its not OT...it would be fun to start a thread about "men without faces" I bet you they will come out to defend themselves...
BTW i have barechested shots of myself that will do a 25 yo proud...but dont post it....because Im serious about finding somebody and dont want to give the perception of "looking for intimate encounter"...rightly or wrongly...but thats just me....who knows I may change my mind.
when it comes down to it....everybody has a right to put what they want in their profile....
responses to a profile will of course be varied and from the standpoint of the beholder.

But it's just fun to do every now and then, it's fun and flirty and playful and i can handle myself well. It's a matter of balance between being sexy and sexual, or cheap or trashy whatever else you want to call it. Of course if you think you're sexy you can be just as sexy in a suit and heels, I get a lot of woohoos when I'm dressed professionally too. To some guys a woman in a nice suit, with a silky blouse and heels is VERY sexy. | |
