| Why do women post pictures of their breasts in thier profile?
Posted: 9/27/2004 9:14:44 AM | I don't know if anyone else thinks this way but I used to (when I was younger and stupider ;) buy those ladies' magazines with articles like "103 ways to seduce a man...", etc. But eventually I realized that this is not the kind of way to attract a man unless all you are looking for is an encounter. I mean sure you can turn most men on if you do or say certain things but what is the point of it in the end? Just like you can turn on most men if you display some cleavage. However, if you think about it for a few minutes you realize that unless sex is your goal, what are you really winning? Sure some times people may start out with an encounter and have it end up in a relationship (I hear this from some) but I'd say the odds ar against it and I personally don't want to be taking on those odds with every guy who interests me. ;)

THAT IS FUNNY !!! Yo, dude ! I discovered that the PoF moderators here were RIGHT ! The Babes respond to what you put in the FIRST DATE BOX. As a male, you are BRAIN DAMAGED like I am. I was corresponding very briefly with a forensic scientist and the scientist confirmed that women understand friendship better than men. Well, this may also mean that they understand emotion better. Have ever noticed that women read those romantic novels filled with conversations and sharing of emotion ? The book may even be set in an exotic maritime spice trade situation, ship-board during the age of sail and wooden vessels AND YET blood barely flows from the scuppers, old blind Pew 'what got his deadlights shot out in service to King and Country' hardly throws a grappling hook or swings his cutlass--it's all about emotion and issues of the heart. I've had beaucoup of action on the RUSSIAN FRONT here and I know what you mean about your Bulgarian, when you reveal your heart in that DATE BOX, you will discover the wisdom of the PoF moderators for there are indeed Fish in this Sea ! Posted: 10/21/2004 10:14:22 AM | Ok. I have no sense of shame when it comes to the human body. I view it as follows : If GOD had wanted us to run around naked, we'd have been born that way.
Havine said that, I think that it is outside the realm of proper manners to place pictures of what you've got out front for the world to see, if they are not into that. If you have your pictures posted as public, when someone views your profile, you will have just flashed them.
If they are reserved and put in the private section, to be shared with only certain people, then I have no issues with that at all.
The question was asked what do I think of the women who post them, I think it is wrong in certain aspects, They let whoever looks at their profiles see what they've got, then restrict who can respond. If you wanna show it, you ought to let the viewers comment to you.
And as for the guys out there who are all for the womenfolk putting their "assets" out for us to beholf, would you be willing to put your penises posted for the ladies to gawk over? fair is fair, isn't it??

I think women who post their breasts have self confidence issues (whether or not they know it) and think men are looking for only one thing. They've probably never been with a guy who really respects her and treats her well...
Guys with their tops off... I guess maybe to prove they are "athletic"?? Beats me though... | |

I don't need to do it. I think enough of my face and smile to let them stand on their own merit. There is much to be said for leaving a little something (or a lot ) to the imagination.

I don't need to flaunt and make a fool of myself, but then there are those who speak with little heads and nipples. If that is all they are after, I say you can have it. But I would be embarassed to do a breast shot then try and come off with class.
A classy lady is just that--classy! She doesn't flaunt the booty for all to see. | |

I don't know about you, but I was born buck naked, if I had anything on, it was whatever hair I had on my head, before some nurse got me all wrapped up in a warm blanket.
There are pictures in good taste, pictures in bad taste and women who have to bare it all, not on this site, but I've seen many, they aren't worth writing. If they have to bare it all to get a man, gee I feel sorry for them. Then I see some on here who are really nice looking women, but do they post because they are really looking for someone, or are they into some sort of headgames and have no intention on replying, they are just looking for attention? They say that the Internet is full of sick men, well there are plenty of sick women running around as well, just look at the news of last week, some woman in Canada was using her son to make porno's.
What really bugs me is that you read the nicest profile. You think to yourself, hey this lady could be for me, but alas, there's no picture and why the heck not? It's so simple these days to post one's pic, it doesn't take a mental giant to post a pic. Maybe that lady who you think could be the one for you has something to hide, that's what I always think when I don't see a picture in a profile. Then you write them, they tell you they don't have a scanner, what a crock, they don't need a scanner, they only have to go to any pharmacy, have their picture taken, put it on a floppy or a Disk and upload the darned thing. Too much work for some people I guess and what a shame too. | |

Posted: 10/22/2004 2:09:22 PM | I don't really have a problem with women showin' off the goods in their profile, but it throws me into a quandry. And not just because it causes me to have to use the word "quandry" in a sentence, either.
I've been prompted with the urge to write to some of these gals, just for the halibut; but I'm not part of the "sup baby u wanna knock it?" crowd, so I always lack an opener. I mean, the profiles are often sparse; they usually just say "I wanna hang out" (no kidding? HEYOOOO, pun intended) so what am I gonna do, say "I like to hang out too?" But I never know what to say. I think the subject line of the last message I sent to one of these gallies (who had like ten pictures of her bazooms in lingerie in her profile) was "Yes, they're quite lovely." She didn't write back, natch.
So that brings me to my second dealie; what, exactly, are they looking for? They don't appear to be all that discriminating. Heck, they just unleashed the twins on an unsuspecting populace. And yet they turn me down when I write anyway. Oy. Talk about a kick in the jimmy - they don't care who gazes upon Twin Peaks but I'm not worthy enough to talk to?
Ai ya, says I.
Oh well... at least they give me something to look at when I peruse the personnel. And for that, the dancing banana may be cue'd.  | |
