| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 7/29/2007 10:41:46 AM | Funny one jtw.
I didn't realize I'd get so many responses!! I don't have a problem with the whole thing, it was just something I noticed and wondered about. I thought maybe it was just a Texas thing. As you can tell by my screen name I'm not from here and after being here 7 years I'm still trying to figure the place out. It's true when they say 'It's a whole different country'!

They are trying to compensate for their tiny penises.
So if I posted a photo of me and my goat, I'd be compensating for my .... tiny titties?

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/17/2007 2:37:02 PM | Oh Thankyou Dyed his hair looks like a cow patty I had to clean off the moniter after that. Can't drink coffee when I am reading posts guess.
Pam, I am so glad you asked that so if I post a pic of my Vip does it mean I am compensating for being short. or I know I don't have the right size of boobs anymore Since I read somewhere the perfect was A or B cup.

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/17/2007 4:00:45 PM | | Hell with me it would be a picture in front of my computer if I could lol. I know how to fill the fluids and check them and all that on my car but thats all. Now a computer I can tear down rebuild and all that lol. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/17/2007 4:12:17 PM | A guys truck/car is their BABY! lol and if he knows how to fix his baby... hey lol he can show it off as much as he wants as long as he's covered in grease because its sexy watchin a guy fix a car ;-) | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/17/2007 7:56:18 PM | What???? You think it is sexy watching a guy fix a car covered in grease? I hate being covered in grease. That is why i buy the gloves when i work on cars. And i have never had anyone tell me i looked sexy fixxing anything. Car, truck, airplane, plumbing, you name it. Although i did feel sexy in the fact that i could fix whatever i was working on, while most of the guys could not figure out which end of a wrench was the smart side and which was the stupid side. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/17/2007 9:19:42 PM | | Why not? Lots of female profiles have pics of their tattoos. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/17/2007 11:18:07 PM | why is it that there are so many threads about guys posing with their cars? if i had a dollar for every thread i have seen since joining i could buy a new exhaust for my motorcycle, and probably my car too | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 1:51:33 AM | I don't give a rat's ass about cars, motorcycles, or anything else that goes VROOOOOM!!! (except for the whole getting me from Point A to Point B thing)
I love watching some of the ads on Spike TV and the like, which basically re-enforces the stereotype that "REAL Men love Cars, Football, Beer"......and I can't stand ANY of those things. I also could care LESS about tools and hardware.
Sorry....guess that doesn't make me a Real Manly Man.

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 9:34:20 AM | my dads a mechanic, i grew up watching him walk through the door (to be honest i love the smell of old spice and grease mixed) covered in grease. He took me and my younger sister to work with him a few times to the shop, every little girl wants to marry her daddy in a sense, whelp I LOVE seein a guy covered in grease, my dad never taught me, but if a guy can show me what he's doing and teach me a few things, that would be great too. Cant really explain it, but I love it Karr! | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 9:50:29 AM | When I was looking for a girlfriend here I had a picture of me hunting and decided not to put it up.
It would have been the BEST picture to put up (to let the women know what they were getting into) but I didn't want all the Hunting Haters to send me messages so it stayed down.
Maybe the car thing works the same. My old English teacher once said: Ladies, here is some advice from an old man. Never date a guy who loves his car, talks about gas prices and the weather and doesn't read books. That man will be a very uneducated bore and you'll kick yourself for it.
Smart man. He put that books thing in the end to keep it English class related haha.

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 2:03:24 PM | I am with some of the majority here a car is a dam car and what does it have to do with a dating site? ... Only reason guys post them on here is to show off thats all. Hope you guys with your nice show cars etc. meet someone and marry and lose them LOL .... the irony .... I personally think it's lame to show off possesions. As far is it being a "guys" baby thats to funny having an emmotional attachment to something that probably was a beer can in it's prior life.
In the end who really gives a rats ass that you have a harley! hell I can chop the muffler off my car and there you have the same great sound. annoying as hell ....
Face it guys women want personality not pictures of your worthless cars!
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 2:29:26 PM | | Post pics of your passions. Guys like cars, and if it is something you take pride in, you would like to share it. I like books...If I had a large stack of 18th century originals I would have them around me in a pictures, as they are the epitome of my interests, and I would like to share that. Also, its a little postcard of the personality. If you see a profile of a guy and he has a lot of cars in his pictures, dollars to dolphins you can probably tell what his spare time is about, so if you do date, your not surprised he has Auto Trader magazines on his table, pictures of classic fords on his wall, and three cherry chevys in the garage! :) | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 3:24:11 PM | My days of coming thru the door with grease on me are over. I have learned to work smarter and cleaner. We even have showers where i work now. So i do not have to rush around at the end of the day to get home and clean up. I can bring extra clothes with me and be fresh as a daisy to go out alot earlier than ever before. That is one reason my hobby is not cars anymore, it is airplanes. I work on cars and vehicles all day. When i am done, i want a clean hobby. Jumping into an airplane that someone else cleaned and maintained is heaven for me. I do not have to fix it, clean it, or wash it. I just have to leave it in the same clean state i found it prior to the flight. That i can do. Now, if i ever had enough money to buy my own plane, that would be a different story. But for now, i will stay clean just being the pilot. Not filthy being the mechanic fixxing it. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 4:45:28 PM | Love, i am not boring. I got tired of women telling me my hands were dirty, i drove a junk car, and i did not make enough money. Now, my hands are clean, i drive a brand new car, but i still do not make enough money. If i pull a forward slip into a landing strip, or do a power off stall, there is no way you would ever call me boring. You would be calling me other things, but boring would not be one of them. | |

| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 5:09:24 PM | | Why do women have pictures taken with female friends, male friends, grandkids, some with motorcycles, etc? Because it's the only picture they have handy? Because it's a part of who they are? And so on, and so on, and so on. If you are really concerned, ask them. The answer could speak volumes. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 6:18:48 PM | Okay Pilot you won hands down with the plane. Nothing compares with a plane except maybe the 40ft and up boats. You are right if did a power stall Boring is NOT what I would be calling you | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 7:15:28 PM | You would be screaming my name? That is one way i could get women to do that. And as far as 40ft and up boats, that is another expensive hobby. My brother has a very nice boat. Not a 40 ft, but it did set him back 150k. The term he uses for boat is this: Bust Out Another Thousand. BOAT. The difference between men and boys is the price of our toys. | |
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/18/2007 11:00:48 PM | I am sure that would be one of them would be your name. But I have come into some tricky lick landings up here and a few Glaciers. Another thrill here would be coming into Sitka's Airport with winds kicking up has made more than one Vetern do the 3 butt pucker landing. The 4oft boats up here are used for crabbing, deep sea fishing ect. Unless we are going river runner with jet's. prop's being destroyed in the haystack's
T0 be honest. The difference between men and boy's and the price of their toys is so very true. But what the women that also are racking up the toys
Sorry to dig you on, I have such a great imagination I could picture it happening, The dead stall. or slid. My hat is off to you

Hey now go easy on us A&P's! You never know when you'll find a little Aeroshell wrapped up in your harness.
As for the pictures with cars, I don't know why some of us guys do it. Granted my s/n has a car in it, but that is the car that I drive, and it's a shortened/modified version of AIM and Yahoo s/n's. It might not look pristine, but I'll be doing the as I pass you by on the highway. Thank god for fuzz busters!
Enough for me this morning though. I'm going to have another 767 to fix tonight.
|
| Guys and Their Cars Posted: 8/19/2007 5:14:06 AM | I have all the respect for you A & P guys in the world. You do the same things i do with a car. You fix them and keep them running. But you also try to stay clean doing it, eh? You would not want to leave at the end of a shift all sleazy and greasy and then go out on a date, would you? The women i have met in the past would not either. But can you fly what you fix? That would really impress the ladies..... | |
