I would say I more than qualify!

I love cooking. Both in and out of the kitchen! Am I any good? Guess that would be to be determined by whomever is asking.

Can't be a pig without some slop....

If he cooks in bed and can cook in the kitchen! Ding, ding, ding we have found a winner! If he cleans as well, then wow we have found a hero.

Repeat,,,and repeat again,,,inserting "she" instead of "he" and you will get something that has gone the way of the dodo bird,,,never to be seen again,,,all in the name of,,,ummmmm,,,,,what the hell was that reason again girls?????

Dodo bird? Bah! I don't know one woman anywhere, all my life, that doesn't cook or clean daily, simply for mere survival, but often because, (perish the thought, in my case) they take pride in it and enjoy it!

So, if you have only distant memories of women cooking and cleaning Walts,
you ARE picking the wrong women! If that's what you want. Cooking and cleaning that is, not the wrong women! lol

And,,,ummmm,,,you and I BOTH know,,,men do NOT do the picking. Who ever gave you that idea????

I do know some women,,,,over 40,,,,that can make your head spin in a kitchen. Getting rarer and rarer thou.

This afternoon I decided to experiment and make some soup.

The core ingredients:
4 large onions chopped
2 sweet potatoes shredded
lots of crushed garlic
lots of diced ginger root
millet
spices and herbs.

Yummy!!!

I will have to constrain myself to having only two bowls.

Today I tried something different today in making a Dutch Oven full of soup.

The core ingredients:

onions, chopped
sweet potatoes shredded
carrots, grated,
celerey, chopped,
a whole bulb of crushed garlic
ginger root, diced
quinoa (white and red)
ham, diced (left over from the Thanksgiving POF potluck)
Vindaloo curry paste
Dijon mustard.
smoked chipotle pepper
chili pepper
cumin
plus various other herbs and seasonings

Yummy!!!

I like eating And cooking and eating what I cook. Rare. Don't care if it is. And what if it is Politically incorrect? oh well. hurry up and shoot me but wait till I am finished eating. And I Still don't don't care. Will I cook for her every night? Nope. Will I share the cooking with her? Maybe. Ok. (just kiddin) Most women my age who also happen to hsve kids and divorced at least once can cook well. Can I? Sometimes.

All I can say is, my late hubby taught ME to cook. Before that, I had no clue how to use spices, and not even my dogs would eat what I cooked. Also, my stepson and my stepdaughter's husband both cook, though usually the women do it, as they're stay-at-home moms now.

I'm hearing more and more men proudly admit that they cook, and I think it's healthy for a number of reasons which are probably too obvious to enumerate here.

I am going to experiment in the kitchen today, making a big pot of soup... roasted garlic (will use at least 10 heads), sweet potatoes, leeks, ginger root and onions, plus probably a lot of other good stuff.

I sure it will be tasty, and also know the dining experience would be greatly enhanced if there was some fishie sitting across the table from me.

I use to own a resturant I REALLY enjoy cooking. However cooking for ONE just does not have the same appeal. Its always nice to share it with someone that appreciates your endevours.

food has always been more than just something you eat to me, and when you serve a meal to friends it is that much more important

i was always asked "what did you put in this to make it taste so good?"

the answer? "love"

i hope i got that from my grandma

I cook every night. Last night it was filet of trout, sauteed red peppers and tomatoes in olive oil, fresh sage and tamari. A huge salad every nite. As any celebrity chef show will show ya, men make the best cooks! Ask Gordon Ramsay, Michael Smith, David Adaji, Massimo or any head chef. Well that isnt strictly true, there are some amazing gal cooks too. Just not too many in the celeb chef status...i wonder why?

I'm a guy that cooks, and not that I was brought up cooking either. Its just that I had a long term GF that new how to cook very well, and I enjoyed cooking with her, learning all of her tricks.

This is Halarious! I so come up with my own version of this about 2 months ago and have used it on a date and scored huge bonus points with the gal that I met on POF acctually.
I dont measure when I freestyle cook. But heres what I made.
Rice,
chicken,
chicken broth,
garlic cloves whole,
assorted vegetables that i had in the back of the fridge,
black pepper.
and topped it all with a layer of parmasean cheese for flavor and garnish.
My date watched me prepare this in less than 5 mins than slide it into the oven. Than with all that extra time on my hands, I sat down played scrabble with her, letting her win obviously.

Moral of the storie is, if you practice cooking when the girls aren't around, when they come around and you fill there tummy with somthing warm and delicious, they might stick around a little longer.

TIPS: stay away from spicy foods and broccoli on your first few dates it causes gas and makes situation uncomfertable, especially on a first date. She might want to go home early. (luckily i new this one ahead of time.)

Are you kidding us? Spicy foods cause gas? Nope!

I cook will all kinds of spicy foods, HOT peppers, chili peppers, etc. and have never experienced a problem with flatulence and nor has anyone that has eaten my cooking.

If you were to put those spices in something else that might cause flatulence, for example chil con carne, you might have a problem, but it is from the beans, not the spices.

Something a lot of people don't realize causes gas but does is mushrooms. Don't believe me? Just pay attention, the next time you have mushrooms on your steak or whatever. Thing is, they are most often used with spices or other things and people don't realize what's giving them the farts
