Gatecrasher, bowlers, maximes, shellys, cream..... Ceb1 you had taste girl!

Add the Hacienda, Angels, Monroes, Carlos, The Zone & The Love Shack & the very first Blackburn parties into the mix too & you had one serious scene on your hands... Loved every minute of it, but seriously don't think i'd cope now!!

I like the earlier stuff from around 1990-93 and ive got quite a bit myself and im pretty much against the over commercialised stuff from that era that seems to be on every old skool CD that ever gets released.
My top 10 must have tracks:
Be alright, Laura D
Do you feel so right?, Love 4 Sale
Give me your Love, Part E
Burning Like Fire, Mix Factory
Do you wanna Party? Bass Value
Dansattack, Massive
Let the Bass Kick, Egma
A Moment in Time, 4 The Money
Love Rush, Decktition
Buruchacca, Mukkaa

Can't believe someone Necro'd my old thread. Still a few of us olduns about. Listen to it mainly in the car these days.

Still think most of the tunes stand up today, though a few of the more commercial DJs do sound a bit crap, I can still listen to them because they make me smile.

Memories, thank god for em.

Mig 29 has just come on my itunes and that was one of my classics along with rock me steady, dj professor. I still listen to old skool, but I definately liked the late 90's and early 2000's trance scene

Message 76, nice to see someone mentioning the Haçienda, in my slightly biased opinion, the catalyst for the UK club scene in the 90's.

Lol, you old timers! To be honest though, us latter-day ravers do sort of look up to you guys and gals.... big nights like Raindance must have been truly brilliant back in your day. I hear endless stories from older friends about the great atmosphere you used to get in raves, the awesome experiences, etc.

I do object to the idea that there's no good House/Trance music nowadays though. Yes, it has changed a lot in the past 10 to 20 years, but I'd say that a lot of the underground scene still bears a close resemblance to the way music used to be.

London has an AMAZING house/trance/techno/electro scene.... clubbing to this sort of music is currently my favourite pastime! I absolutely love the stuff they play nowadays... you've just gotta know where to go; keep your ear to the ground. And remember that these music genres are incredibly varied, so sometimes it's hard to find exactly what you like.... minimal, progressive, funky, hard, euphoric, etc etc. It does help if you're like me and you love it all though lol. But I do enjoy my old skool rave nights as well (e.g. Raindance, Promised Land, etc).

Re-discovering Renegade Soundwave atm, they put dub on the map in this country at least.

The Phantom
Transworld Siren
Biting My Nails (Bass numb chapter)
Cocaine Sex

Superb tracks, they were also extremely clever samplists (Transworld Siren). Flood is a genius imo.

My ravin days started way,, way back.
In the days of joy division, new order, and orchestral maneuvers in the dark.
Then I started to like art of noise, jam and spoon, leftfield.

Now I like any thing..carn`t beat a good boggie to some ol skool.

Need a good sit down after thou.
