The only time Ive ever noticed fake blonde is by the inch of black roots... Dark brown skin doesnt really go with being naturally blonde either...

The surest way to tell any fake hair color is experience. I was a hairstylist for about 20 years and can *usually* spot the signs unless it's a very recent and very costly color job. Yes, the root area is a tell-tale sign but also the color is usually pretty flat. Most natural color - even black - has some variation in tone or tint. It sometimes takes a trained eye.

Many natural blondes will be a shade or two darker in the area closest to the scalp during months with less sun but there's a more subtle 'line' where the change occurs.

Do you think skin tone has anything to do with it? I mean if the girl is really olive toned is it natural to have light hair? Or is it usually just pale girls like me.?

People with olive skin are never naturally blonde. It has to do with your heritage and where your ancestors came from. The warmer the climate, the darker the hair and complexion as it protects from the harsh rays of the sun. Texture is also different. Asians hair microscopically is almost round. Caucasian hair is oval in shape and black people's hair is flat like a ribbon. That's why they have to use special products as there's little room in the cortex (interior part) of the strand for holding moisture.
