For me I prefer to sleep naked whether by myself or not. I like the coolness of feeling the sheets on my skin, when with a friend, it is nice to feel the skin touching skin. | |

So if everyone sleeps naked, why is it that when there's a house fire, you don't see everyone standing outside watching it burn in the buff? The news crews get there and everyone is wearing pajamas...
*I* can answer this one (I tried to burn my house down July 5th)(no, i didn't succeed--just some kitchen damage).
It's 'cause after we empty out the fire extinguisher and realize we have to GET OUT NOW, we run like hell back to the bedroom and throw on the shorts and tank top we dropped there the night before.
My friends got me a t-shirt. "Co-ed naked firefighting". Haven't had the nerve to wear it yet. | |

Now, with my second job, I come home during the week an hour or, if I'm lucky, two hours before it's time to get up and get ready for my second job. When I get home and get into bed at 4:30 or 5:00 or 5:30 AM (it depends), I take everything off and get into bed that way until 7:00 rolls around. I was never like that before! It's such a comfortable feeling, and I surprised myself. Now, we'll have to see how it goes once the weather starts getting cold again. | |

Posted: 9/22/2007 5:54:55 PM | OP and others, I realize that I answered this post previously, but I had to add more for why I'm not inclined to sleep naked when alone.
About two months ago I fell asleep after a very long and grueling day ...and after deciding that I was hungry. I put a small frozen pizza in the oven just about midnight. At 5AM, I was shaken awake by an emergency fire paramedic ...and he was NOT my roommate. I slept right through the so-called smoke detector ...as well as the timer that I'd set for the few minutes needed to cook the pizza 'tastefully' well done. By 5AM, it was completely incinerated. Thankfully it was not a large one nor I naked. Not the way that I care to exit this life, even if I arrived this way. On second thought, a heart attack at the moment of mutual orgasm w/ a beautiful woman would be nice, no? | |

Well having been through 2 house fires I will answer this, and I am sure some of you will laugh :D
the first time, I was sleeping in a teddie ran out of the burning house in the winter and plenty of snow, with a see through teddie and moon boots.... ran to the neighbors house. before the firefighters showed up, thankfully she gave me a robe to wear.
The second time, i was naked... and woke to the smoke. I quickly grabbed the discarded clothes from the night before and grabbed my son and ran out of the house, My ex got fully dressed in all fresh clothes then ran out the door... we all process things differently in a stressful situation. ( i found my underwear in the leg of my sweatpants later)
So OT... I have kids at home so unless they are gone for the night, I wear clothes to sleep in, if they are not home... I am naked... | |

When I sleep alone, sometimes I'll sleep in the nude, but usually it's whatever I was wearing before I fell asleep. I could be in a suit, or jeans, or just panties. No one to hold...

My last SO loved to reach out and pat my butt in his sleep. He said it gave him a sense of peace and continment, also a place to burrow himself against  If you have little ones around keep a robe handy for when they like to come in and wake you, if their older keep your bedroom door closed and tell them to knock before coming in. | |
