Posted: 5/19/2009 10:49:50 PM | The answer is simple, MOVE ON. You just saved yourself a big hassle so consider yourself lucky. If the person has a problem with who you are, there is very little you can do.
In your case, I will just say "next" and look for the next in line (after all, it is called plenty of fish for a reason). Happy Fishing here and life in general. | |

Here, let's play a game type the number keys on your keyboard, one to nine. Do they look like this: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX?

Would you like to know why? It's because the numerics used today are dervied from the arabic system. While Europe was tearing itself new witch-holes and invented iron spiders, the muslim world was building things, inventing medicines, translating the old greek philosophers, and in general keeping civilization from collapsing. And women wore headscarves in those days.
My point is this- yes, some muslim regions are notoriously segregated by gender. Thing is, it's only been the last 40ish years that ANY country has really taken strides towards equality: and poverty worldwide is still far more common to women than men, as is infanticide, illiteracy, etc. It isn't just a muslim problem.
To make a long story short- by painting all muslims as "X", you ignore the history that brought you to exist, the interconnectedness of all people, and the inherent injustice done when one group claims to be better than another group (or when one individual does the same thing).
And to the thread necro- was it really necessary, of all the good threads in here, to dig up this particular brand of sh*te? | |

Posted: 7/13/2009 2:58:38 PM | There are various styles of Islam, just as there is in Christianity. Personally, I couldnt date any legalsitic type , of any Religion.
Religion is not a criteria for me as much as acceptance and respect are. Extremists, of any kind, including Aethisest~s and I wouldnt get along.
Diversity with common respect? Love it, no problem.
Those are the important factors for me. | |

Going after things that looking like you really want to get I t, but the moment you get it you no longer wanted? This is desception of this world. You ask these men who run after women ,one women after another ,you think they are happy . They will never be satisfied. again they will never be satisfied , these people going after drugs , thinking that the drugs are going to make them happy . One high after another and then another , they will never be satisfied again they will never be satisfied, because they are doing some thing again there very nature. But yet , get a man and his wife together, who love each other for Allah subhanah WA talah , they will find love, joy and piece with one and another , if they do with in the boundaries of Allah subhanah WA talah. | |

Read about islam. This is not a "hate site" as the apologists claim. Not ONE "hateful" or "racist" or any other label we get for speaking out against the ignorant, misogynistic, violent ideology that is islam.
Most muslims know VERY little about their own religion.
