| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 9/30/2007 11:00:39 AM | The funniest stand up I've ever seen to date is Robin Williams when he did Live at the Met. He's just sooo funny and so hiper! | |

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 10/1/2007 2:55:24 AM | Like the post above me says, all the greats have been mentioned, but I think the most hilarious pair to ever grace our television sets are, Abbott and Costello. I can remember as a young lad watching their movies, such as the likes off, 'Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein' and being frightened out of my trousers. But now watching them years later, realizing just how hilarious they really were. The Marx Brothers followed a close second, masterful musicians as well as comics. My all time favourite stand-up comic has to be Mr. William (Bill) H. Cosby, and he did not have to use vulgar language to be funny either. Billy Connlley fits in there as well. But then my choices may have been made because of my age as well. Thanks Augr Al. | |

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 10/1/2007 6:54:48 AM | This depends on what your cup of tea is so to speak so I will attempt to break it down.
Bill Cosby- Amazing mind, and perhaps one of the greatest storytellers of all time! Clean, yet brutally funny!
Robin Williams- What energy, what a quick mind! This man is just amazing! No one makes me laugh harder than him. He will use foul language, not so much for the shock value as for keeping it real.
Richard Pryor/Eddie Murphy- Funny, Filthy, and Fantastic! Tell it like they see it!
Buddy Hackett- If you have a image of Buddy Hackett as a old, clean, Grandma's comedian, I suggest you get some of his body of work as a standup act that is out there! This man had me laughing sooo hard I was crying! RIP Buddy!
They are at the top of my list anyway! To me Dane Cook is a bit of a sellout, and just a little bit to fake, funny at times but nowhere near the level of the above mentioned people.
Honorable mention to Patton Oswalt, Eddie Izzard, Doug Stanhope, and of course Lewis Black!

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 10/9/2007 6:20:03 PM | Without a doubt Billy Connolly. Saw him at Massey Hall for the "Still Erect After 30 Years" show. I was sore for days from laughing so hard. Second place to Robin Williams, he's a comic genius. Honorable Mention in no particular order: Bill Cosby, George Carlin, Dave Allan (At Large), The Two Ronnies, The Monty Python crew (special mention for John Cleese), Robert Schimmel, Steven Wright, The Smothers Brothers, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, Redd Foxx, Flip Wilson, Russel Peters, Carol Burnett. | |

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 10/23/2007 7:10:14 PM | Me! I am naturally comical and am doing something funny all the time unintentionally. If there is a way to put my foot in my mouth I do it. Some have been very embaressing.
I have a very strong concentration. i forget other things. I have stood in a shopping center parking lot afraid to look down cause I could not remember if I put my pants on or not. Fortunately I had them on.
I have walked into trailers while reading books.
I change subject is mid sentence so it can be confusing talking to me.
I say right when I mean left and say left when I mean right. My son came up with the solution. Mom just point!
My giving directions would confuse anyone! I know how to get where I am going. I just dont know the streets, even if I have been using them for years. Not important enough to put in my head. Have more important things to think about. By the time I get through pointing right and left which is usually backwards the person gets a dazed look on their face.
I am very well educated. I think I am over educated. I can do the impossible before breakfast but I have the hardest time tying my shoe laces.
I am very well used to having people laugh at me. I laugh at myself. I never know what is going to happen to me next.
With my grand daughters I have gone from silly grandma to grandma you are weird.
I just drove off all possible guys on the site. giggle.
Everyone enjoys my company and I have been told over and over again how nice I am. So it is worth being funny. I enjoy giving people something to laugh about. I just do it without trying.
Keela - even my nic name is a funny story. When I met a new friend on line I always ended with Keela, which in Cherokee means later. my new friend thought it was my name. It was so funny it stuck. My adopted sister had never heard my name Hashay prounounced. It is Ha Shay. She pronounced it Has Hay so I am Keela Has Hay
Keela in Cherokee means Later. In gaelic it means beautiful. So I am beautiful later and I have hay.

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 10/24/2007 4:29:29 PM | did anyone mention brian regan yet?? he is a top notch comic, and he doesn't even use foul language!! being funny is hard enough, but it's twice as hard to be funny and clean. he is a righteous guy, and his material is 100% original. none of his stuff even remotely resembles anybody else's material. another one like that is jim gaffigan, hilarious f***ing dude. | |

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 1/29/2008 10:25:26 PM | I fear that you forgot a few......How about Jerry Lewis, Abbott & Costello, Howie Mandell, and one of my favorites...Ron White.
And let us not forget that many of our talk show hosts started out on the stand-up curcuit....Ellen Degenirus (spelling?) Jay Leno, etc.
I have to say that one of my all time favorites is Whoopie Goldberg. I love her sensible sarcasm!

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 1/29/2008 11:12:57 PM | Two Hawks takes the Talking Stick:
I'm going to go bac a ways with this. I think the funniest person was Morey Amsterdam. He was on the old****Van Dyke Show. He was known as "The Human Joke Machine". You could say one word....any word....and he'd have a joke for it, or make up a quick joke and put that word in it. Usually they were groaners, but none the less a joke.
So my vote goes for Morey Amsterdam. Rest in peace, Morey and keep 'em laffin!

| Who's the funniest person of all time? Posted: 1/29/2008 11:19:37 PM | George Carlin and Richard Pryor
Worst = Dane Cook (that's right, I said it!)
Dane Cook's Disease, often referred to as "DCD," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the central nervous system. Those afflicted typically suffer from uncontrollable muscle spasms, wildly exaggerated movements, and the need to relay long-winded stories with no punch line, yet still expect to receive a hearty laugh.
now that's comedy | |
