The only guy who has ever asked me out on his own(not including people I've met online or through family/friends) was the Directv guy. I think alot of people are scared of me, though I'm harmless. But alot of people do judge based on appearance.
But anyway, to the original poster, you're definitely not ugly. If I was a guy you'd be the type of girl I'd go for, as far as looks go.

Girl you are not ugly in the slightest!!!! You are however unique in your appearance but this is not a bad thing! Why should you change who you are to try and attract somebody??? Surely it is about who you are inside and your appearance is part of you. So to the people that have said she should tone down her piercings and change her hair - no she shouldn't!!!! If a guy is too scared to approach her he should grow some balls and see past the dreads and piercings and get to know the lovely person that is underneath!!!! Good luck unicorn xx

Posted: 1/5/2008 2:51:47 PM | Ok, I have to interject here. If anyone can notice in MY picture, I have a diamond in my nose, and I absolutely adore it, I wear it for ME NOT MEN!!! It's a cute little white diamond, it's very discreet but nonetheless, noticeable.
I don't think this should be a physical critque of the OP on this thread, for it's obvious she is a very attractive female, but maybe there are underlining issues, such as, have you been hurt before and therefore seem standoffish? Etc? I think what you should do OP is just concentrate on yourself, do NOT change your physical attributes to suit anyone, for when you do this, you lose a little piece of yourself, I say,,,Love the dreads, love the nose ring, and if it makes YOU happy, this will be evidence to men that you love yourself and the rest will follow :)

Posted: 1/5/2008 3:02:46 PM | I work for the government, therefore, no I can't, unfortunately, but to be honest with you, I don't think I would, even if I could, largely due to the fact, I work with military veterans in performing alot of advocacy work, and the majority I work with tend to lean on the conservative side and I would not want them to be thrown by the diamond or ring I wear in my nose, it's mainly out of respect for them. :) But in my personal life, I wear not only a nose ring, but a blue diamond in my navel, and I also have a tattoo on my back, which has alot of personal meaning to me, at work, I do hide the tattoo as well, it's on my back, and can be easily covered up.
No problem on asking me about the nose ring :) | |
