face down in our dirt
how can it get any worse
everyone losing their shirt
got to lift the curse
how quickly we lose our way
after taking drastic turns
morals eroded and washed away
now we fiddle while Rome burns

now we fiddle while Rome burns
almost like we could give a flying fuck to learn
stomachs churn, what part is the mistake
for heaven's sake, drop some nukes and
let's redress the cake, take violence away
repave the way, start all over from scratch
or continue the same, by hate unmatched
color or creed, seems hard to understand we bleed
for the same places, while faces are taken
and all value is shaken, deep to the core
what separates you from the whore, while
we gaze the same distant shore, what are voices
for?, when each is broke from the same core
life it seems, cannot even glean, while ruthlessness
can crush the dream.

while ruthlessness
can crush the dream
our love can make it soar
opening the door to fantasy
you touched me with light
leading me by the hand so gently
we walked into the painted sky
listening to our hearts beat
beautifully to
the howling of desert coyotes

as stars reign down
on the jeweled crown
rock of ages
buries a town
and a fire burns
but of little concern
to the forces within
that tectonically churn

forces within
that tectonically churn
moving my heart to pieces
destructive breaking of my crust
leading to the deeper stuff
joy tempered with suffering
thrown in like a bargain
sometimes lost and wandering
through that same old dungeon
feelings so annoying
anger overflowing
at my lack of curbing
my autopilot's swerving
throwing me off course
where it's hard to find reverse
wishing for a patch of light
to shine through the black velvet night

to shine through the black velvet night
diamond sparkle caressing
his life shining in both thought and deed
his actions a testimony to his life

good, bad, gentle kind
mixed bag of layers
shining through the night
a beacon moving me forward to dawn's first shine

a beacon moving me forward to dawn's first shine
free falling
from phoenix tail
to the fiery orb
as the blinding glimmer ignites the horizon
in a blaze of hope
and the Shadow is dispelled

and the Shadow is dispelled
I don't know about that myself.
My shadow and I am inseperable
joined at the feet, we are
last night dancing under the light of the moon
magical night ... shadows take flight
soaring higher
seeing the future

seeing the future
I am reaching backwards in my mind
to retrieve a forgotten dream
while looking toward the future
the hope within me beams

The hope within me beams,
between the cracks, between my seems,
and filters through, into my dreams,
to send me visions of my queen;

Her face yet still remains unseen,
and I cannot tell who she may be,
I thought I knew, of whom you sing,
and of what you had in store for me,

My God, My God, I've served you well,
you know I don't deserve this hell,
for you, I've slayed these beasts, so fell,
so why now am I in this cell,
all I hear are prison bells,
and I wish to bid them all farewell,
of whats to come, I pray you tell,
will I fall through this thinning veil?

My Lord, My Lord, of you I wish,
to reward my sweet benevolence,
with the one thing I will ever request,
the bliss of sweet preciousness,

A home with which to call my own,
the wife that once made me whole,
the strength I need to cleanse my soul,
and a child to feed till fully grown.

This wish is not overblown,
a wish it's not, but nature's soul,
and all I 'll ever ask my Lord,
is that you choose to make it so.
So I can begin anew.

So I can begin anew,
I'll have to ask for help too
You know it's not in my nature to ask for anything
yet here I am
unable to be alone now
I didn't think I would end up this way
I honestly thought I'd be ok
well, I'm not dead yet
and you know what I always say
and if I live through it
It will only make me stronger.

I only have one question,
How strong do I need to be?

hours that change warmth into a freeze
switching energies with such ease
as autumn's fire colours paint the trees
we are controlled by the season

turning over each year new leaves
finding peace of mind....please...
feelings within becoming uncertain
moods swing....no rhyme or reason...

moving with the the season
mirroring a deep reflection
energy changing to introspection
carrying the essence of being

Carrying the essence of being
In this fragile moment I am caught
In this second I am complete
This page becomes my book

This page becomes my book,
for all who wish to take a look,
but beware, there is much sorrow,
but that all may change tomorrow,
for each day is a brand new hope,
and with each day do I elope,
to create something new,
as fresh as my heart is blue;

Inside my chest, rests this blue star,
which I now refer to, as Izar,
the most beautiful that I have seen,
for it has brought me many dreams,
it burns so bright inside my chest,
to appear as a blue star upon my breast,
and shine through on the blackest night,
to restore the darkness, to the light,
and keep away the evil minds,
which will try to blind your eyes,
as they play off, of your pride,
inside the shadows, do they hide,
you must listen, to your guides,
they are wise, for they have died,
and realized, there's no such death,
now they watch your every step,
so careful now, must you tread,
so very thin, is this scary thread,
one false step, can leave you dead,
and destroy that, for which you've bled,
It may just turn your blue blood, red.

It may just turn your blue blood ,red
She tastes his warm blood in her mouth
and feeds her restless soul
she drinks it like it is liquid gold
It swims and wraps around her heart
For there it is sure they shall never part

For there it is sure they shall never part,
but one cannot be sure no more,
for some do not know their heart,
and what it may have in store,

for once it loves and just lets go,
it changes beats, from fast to slow,
compassion soon begins to grow,
but fear creeps from below,
it seems that some hearts do not know,
how to love and how to glow,
with the warmth that is given so,
such is her very soul.

such as her very soul
never straying far from it
protection from the storm
raging all around
picking up and throwing down
turning heart's love to
yesterday's debris
protect
do not deglect
allowing roots to grow deep ....

allowing roots to grow deep
become the love that you keep
a lighter heart can hold sway
against the hate of today
protect the truth that you've found
the cynic lives on the ground
so flash your smile to the sky
and let the joy in you fly

to epic proportions enjoy life

smile & repass with all

lighten your heart, let worry dissapate
hold my hand, i'll walk with you
becoming a better person...the struggle

morning shining im hues
the colours of chatroom dues
reds, yellow mixed with blues
lost to suspect internet news

don't fret upon win or lose
toss a coin so as to choose
acquaintances casually turn the screws
seduction aided with lots of booze

gone unnoticed while you snooze
opportunity in sensible shoes
someone else won that cruise
all aboard in two by two's

all aboard in two by two's
the flood is here...it's time to choose
water rising as we faller deeper
caught in a never-ending whirlpool
life becomes our daily teacher
the stuff they just won't teach in school

the stuff they just won't teach in school
you must learn from other sources
be they sorcerers, horse pills or pool halls
or fending off self-targeted forces

no degree offered or pedigree proffered
just the same wear the mud smears with pride
slice thin the cat gut to stitch up the cut
to hold hard learned lessons inside

to hold hard lesson learned inside
heart transplant patients know
yet all of it taken in stride
quiet memories glow
of people and places
they have never seen
quite strange the muscle memories
