| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/11/2008 9:07:46 AM | until at last he can be with her in his dreams each night the minutes of the day drag by each one a painful struggle the disease wasting his limbs makes for an endless battle is he a man any more? he does not feel like one can't be what he hoped can't reach for their dreams can't be her strength merely exist, it seems
less than a man he feels he's failed her and it hurts self-hatred tears him up rage against the disease getting further from her can't bear pity for his pain can't see what he can do meds take him up and down again and the man she loved is lost trapped inside this thing this raging shell of loss a broken pathetic being
he loves her and misses her doesn't know how to reach her always fighting inside always failing and alone can't be as he once was can't hold it together no peace inside to give her no strength any more only memories and dreams of how close they used to be in the days where he was whole and could hold her tenderly as he longs to do once more
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/11/2008 6:42:58 PM | how to reply?
as he longs to do once more holding his breath wonders why
why me not you or you or you why no peace
just once more to hold her like before casually,
as if this current plot was never meant to be
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/11/2008 8:50:34 PM | was never meant to be the struggle of our love foundations made in sand ill wind eroding house of cards precarious imploding was it ever more than tug of war do we really remember somber we walk away and never stop to mourn what wasn't ever born | |

| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/11/2008 9:20:21 PM | Be sure to check your soul At the home depot
The same way you check your coats and umbrellas at the theatre And graze up to your seats
Along the labyrinth you walk Lost in a dazed stare
The flurry of little bells ringing Unfinished drinks –large clanging machines
An empty stage Darkness
And when the lights are lifted The smell of freshly cut wood assents the confusion
Temptation, to flirt with the first man Who passes down aisle number 3
Press the buzzer for help an invitation And speak to a living human being
Baggies filled with nails Not jellybeans – paint thinners I suppose
Out in the hall the air is breathable Coffee brewing delectably from the second cup
Much like that abandoned drink The feeling of misplaced trepidation.
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/12/2008 5:49:16 AM | the feeling of misplaced trepidation fragile emotions running rampant
i can't do... anymore delicate drama of self
protect me from me | |
|
| |
| |
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/12/2008 6:55:58 AM | again these words that rampant run behind closed eyes
again my heart races I count breaths still too fast
I close my eyes count again numbered heart beats breathe
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/12/2008 7:20:50 AM | breathe deeply fully filling myself with life focus on the breath nourishing my soul cleansing my mind connecting me to the unknown | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/12/2008 8:23:22 AM | to the unknown I run the known screams for me to return echoes off of the walls of a home abandoned and finally falls silent for now breath in breath out
hugs make good ear plugs and deafened ears see clearly
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/12/2008 12:41:14 PM | See clearly Breathe Unknowingly known in self looking back Again.........
(Circle of life, events the same, different day, familar in ways!!!)
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/12/2008 12:51:54 PM | again......... the circle competes it rotation spinning wildly on it.s axes we tarry and move on.
all is familiar yet unremembered we almost can connect the dots but sadly seldom do
again we return the path before us clears we hesitate unsure

| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 3:22:54 AM | let there be sun to shine in clouds have served their purpose enough darkness, enough rain now is my time for regeneration | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 5:38:55 AM | now is my time for regeneration for self reflection and self reliant motivation make a selection to stay or to go as my heel hits the well worn spot on the front porch step, creak and a dog barks in the distance I am home, the place I was raised I can handle some resistance but I cannot suffer praise I am no hero I just happened along being in the wrong place singin' my song the melody flows like amazing grace but the harmony is key when it all falls into place | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 6:50:24 AM | when it all falls into place a rarity indeed harmony ecstatically mirrored in a smile.
guard the moment closely do not let it slip away with out repaying the essence of the moment sweet
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 7:22:31 AM | essence of the moment sweet life's deserts fulfill complete smooth as chocolate cream delight ecstasy whipped decadently light sprinkled with crystals of sugar spun fine sweet as the mornings with love on my mind buttery biscuits and caramel cream this confectionery is a sweet lovers dream | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 7:52:43 AM | this confectionery is a sweet lovers dream you're the chocolate and the icing ....topped off with ice cream
sweet all over, and on the inside too no matter how hard I try I just can't "quit" you
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 8:30:58 AM | I just can't "quit" you, I just can't walk away something about you has me here to stay I can no longer imagine you not by my side cannot be without you that I can't abide Waking up each morning in your arms I knew I was in the right universe where I belong with you. | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 1:02:30 PM | Where I belong with you is inside your heart not in my brain so don't even start don't go there deep shit you'll step in and all my baggage you will be schleppin' so let's keep it light and love we can find like faeries in flight blind leading the blind deep understanding there's a time and a place for now, no demanding to each our space we can hold hands without reading the palms the here and now is what really calms our inner selves the soul and the mind singing together forever entwined so let's keep it light and love we can find like faeries in flight blind leading the blind | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 5:49:48 PM | blind leading the blind off the edge of a cliff would you be so kind when only, and if I were yours and you were mine ,once busy doing the chores that keeps my world from being driven by the one eyed man who is king in the realm of the blind I would tell you anything if only you will stay forever.... please let there be more are you the one I'm longing for? | |
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 7:50:06 PM | are you he one I'm longing for? is your name I call in the dark? is it you footstep I listen for, your scent that lingers on my pillow?
I remember the sound of the truck door slamming when you left, even the dog did not bark t passing cars. how long will this silence last?i
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/13/2008 9:52:26 PM | how long will this silence last in this desert I made for myself grain by chaffing grain? I cannot suffer praise cannot endure approbation prefer this blank landscape to unrealised expectations for social interaction. But one day . . . some day a path back might find me
(thanks for your line fissionmission: sure made me think. H)
|
| First Line, Last Line (Part Deux) Posted: 6/14/2008 3:48:32 AM | a path back might find me the one less taken only for the bold
for truly that is what i seek or so the story goes
poetic heart spirit light as dreams a glimmer in the eye and a sense of adventure would surely please
but i no longer search for the man of my dreams guess i'm still searching for the one that's known as me
