| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/2/2007 6:42:19 PM | I am a huge Michigan fan.......and I do think that Carr and the rest of his staff will have them regrouped and focused now that they've had their noses severly bloodied! This is the first Div 1-AA school that Michigan has scheduled in a very long time and I think UM did a major "looking past" Appy State.....and paid for!!
UM does have the makings of a good team, and have the chance for a very good season yet, but they have a ways to go to get to that level. Hart was Hart.......he is as close to automatic as they come....just needs to stay healthy.
Henne was off quite a bit Saturday, especially on his deep passes. Many times Manningham had to break stride to wait on the ball. At times the defense looked good....and at times it looked horrible. Special teams looked a mess too.
But Michigan being Michigan....they will be back.

| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/2/2007 9:53:21 PM | | I am an OSU alumn so I did take great delight in seing UM get upset like that. However it makes me wonder..can any 1A team now lose to some of these supposed cakewalk opponents? Could OSU, USC, LSU, etc..do the same? Or is Michigan's program just going through a bad time? Growing weary and tired of Carr's coaching style, as well as his five L's against Ohio State and few bowl game highlights in recent years? | |

| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/3/2007 3:52:05 PM | | Go Buckeyes! And for those of you who think a buckeye is the eye of a buck, it is not. It's a poisonous nut. Don't eat us or you will die. Go Ohio State. | |

I bet Vrabel shed some light to Brady...

| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/3/2007 5:06:23 PM | LOL....I imagine he did deejay! The big concern for Michigan is that they have a tough Oregon team next that runs a similar offense to the one that they struggled with this week, but with even better athletes. They need to get over App St and get it together quickly, or they could start 0-2. | |

| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/6/2007 6:25:16 AM | | The team that is going to win it all will Be Southern Cal and they will be playing LSU for the the title. | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/6/2007 8:01:13 AM | | you're wrong on that one partner. the west virginia mountaineers will be playing for the"title". they have a schedule that is not all that tough and will go undefeated. it doesn't make them the best team in the nation but it will make them one of probably two undefeated teams. and they will get the oportunity to play in the "title" game. | |

| What the hell is a Catamount anyway? Posted: 9/6/2007 11:10:09 AM | | it is pretty simple, a catamount is something that the tide should not be playing.something tells me that the tide will stop rolling once they start there s.e.c sch. not that iam knocking them to bad we both know how hard it is to get through the hardest confrence in college football, last thing do you know the words to rocky top (haha ) | |

Don't eat us or you will die. Go Ohio State. LOL that's prob the funniest thing i think any GATOR fan has ever heard! lets get a couple things straight LITTLE 10 fan! 1. you play nobody and Notre Dame all yr long. 2. the media thinks your all that and a bag of chips. 3. when you run into the top teams of the top conferences in America you always find a way to choke. does last years Nat championship game ring a bell? or maybe the beat down your little 10 comrades took in the rose and sugar? then to top if off the Gators worked them again in basketball for good measure. The speed in the PAC-10 and SEC has always been too much for the little 10. they have always relied on being more physical. now that's not even their trade mark. the top teams are LSU and USC ironically the 2 teams in the country with the most physical LT and LG ( ie running game). then top it off with a front 4 on defence that 6 guys cant block and waa laa! pull out the tapes of those bowl games it wasn't cute it wasn't fancy it was beat u down physical. if the little 10 is ever going to compete with the big conferences again they might want to take a good hard look at how the game is played and quit listing to the media telling them how great they are! Go Gators! Go anyone who plays the little 10 and GO anyone who puts a smack down on the Irish!
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/8/2007 10:02:02 PM | Who'd have thought that at this point Michigan and Notre Dame would be 0-2 while my beloved Hoosiers are 2-0? I love it! | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/9/2007 12:31:09 AM | | Heeeeeerrrrrrrreeessss the GATORS! I believe the SEC Championship will be a re-match of the LSU-UF game. The SEC and Pac 10 are still the best conferences but how about the play of some of those smaller conferences (on an individual game basis) like the Big East and WAC. Big 12 and Big 10 looks like it is a continuation of frustration. Let me see, how do you get to New Orleans for the championship game? Oh yeah, just follow all the orange and blue in January. GO GATORS! | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/9/2007 1:32:40 AM | | I was impressed with LSU blowing out VT. Also was suprised by South Carolina winning last night. I believe South Floridia is the sleeper in the Big East they beat Auburn. | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/9/2007 9:31:26 AM | | Very odd indeed how the Wolverines, of all teams, are providing me with highlights this season, while the Irish, well, aren't...... | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/9/2007 2:15:14 PM | Who who, who let the Sooners Out!! We are rolling. Sam Bradford is an awsome freshman quarterback! Miami just blew out with the shaggy remnants of a hurricane. This is OKLAHOMA land of tornado, hurricanes do not compare. | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/9/2007 3:34:19 PM | | Staunch Husker fan here, but the Sooners look VERY scary this year. Bradford has incredible poise and presence in the pocket and the Sooners D is....well, the Sooners D - lol! | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/9/2007 8:31:20 PM | I'll just be happy when my Wolverines STOP playing like Notre Dame , and start playing like Michigan again!! If this wasn't going to be Carrs final season before....it is now! It's not only their lack of speed in the secondary, but the entire team is melting down so far!! | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/10/2007 2:32:45 PM | | hey guys ease up on the irish a little bit. i'm well aware of the fact that they're bad and may be very lucky if they win 6 or 7 games this year but i dont appreciate comments like that. i could be going on all day about how bad michigan has been playing but i'm not because i have no room to talk so neither does anyone else. | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/10/2007 4:58:36 PM | | ummm yes some of us have a lot of room to talk! Appalachian state fan, Georgia Tech fan, Oregon fan, and Penn state fan! those guys can run all the smack they want and if you think ND is going to win 7 games this yr your definitely in trouble. wait you still have the service academy's and Duke on your schedule! LOL the problem is simple spread out the slow Little 10 teams and ND and match up faster guys one-on-one. ND and Michigan and most of the other schools in the little 10 still haven't figured out, SPEED KILLS in college football! its why USC, UF, CAL,LSU and even OU are successful every year. they recruit speed! you cant teach speed, but you can teach the game to a fast guy! if properly coached the faster kid will win every time. check the last 2 weeks in as evidence. LSU ran right past VT in the so called BIG game of the week. and OU worked the U. Miami used to get all the best kids in the rich talent state of Florida, thus the championships came their way. but now UF is winning the recruiting war at home. you can pick a pretty close to a top 10 every year if you look at the speed in the 40 of the upcoming recruits. rivials.com is my personal fave and those guys know their stuff. | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/10/2007 6:49:02 PM | gatorboy........Being a Big Ten fan I agree with the speed comment.......but getting the coaches in the conference to sell out on their philosophies that they know and go with the smaller faster players is another story.
I wish UM would start recruiting more speed in their DB's instead of the big physical types ALL THE TIME!!
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/10/2007 7:50:10 PM | | MI if big blue would recruit speed the others in the conference would follow! they would have to! 3 yards and a cloud of dust! the 10 is still living in the 60's with the rule changes over the last 40 yrs the offence has become more dynamic, thus the defence needs to become faster as well. Lloyd car is in real danger here and the rumor is Les from LSU is coming! if that's the case do you think he will just forget what hes learned coaching in the SEC? the answer is of course not, i believe that OSU and UM CAN recruit top speed to play there. and remember just because a guy is fast doesnt make him less physical. i seem to remember a guy named Woodson who was tall, physical, and could fly all over the field. the point is until the coaches change their way of thinking most of the top speed kids want to run around and make plays and have fun! evidence in that is So. Florida's rise in the big East. those kids got recruited to play at other schools, some of them in the mid west, but they would rather stay home and play the high flying game. i know this will pain you to here but Illinois is coming, Ron Zook knows how to recruit and hes building a nice fast base of talent. i wouldn't want to play them in another year if I'm big slow and awkward! | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/10/2007 10:02:36 PM | | from top to bottom the sec is no better than the big ten or the big east. when these speedy recruits try to take their game to the next level they are often not equiped for the physical game that the big ten prepares them for. | |
| college football season 2007 Posted: 9/10/2007 11:32:20 PM | | well gatorboy i know for a fact that you have no room to talk whatsoever. my irish got their asses handed to them in both games to start the season and i am not denying that in any way. we have a young team and unfortunately its showing. but look who we've played to open the season, a veteran georgia tech team and penn state who are both ranked in the top 25 and both of them have great chances to win their respected conferences and maybe even make a push at the national title. but lets see who the gators started off with, troy and western kentucky. no offense to those teams but they aren't what you would call powerhouses. | |
