I enjoy the forums, but also get a bit of a kick out of reading some of the profiles. Some are very genuine and sincere, and some are.....well...interesting, to be polite. Hello to you all! When I look at the profiles for woman in Maine I can tell immediately how uneducated they are. I am not the best speller in the world, but when I read "my favrit kolor as pupple" I absolutely cringe. In addition, a lot of the woman in Maine are not interested in educated men, they have 4 kids by different fathers, see recreational drug use as a positive thing and their only ambition in life is to go mudding. Then you read in their profiles how they want a guy that will not cheat, lie, steal, be a lazy bum or do drugs (hmmm, I can't understand why *L*) . It seems to me there is something wrong with the majority of the woman in this state, I feel like I moved up to hicksville. I keep hoping I will find someone worth while, but after a year on POF with just a few bites and either no replies, negative replies or an occassional out right nasty reply, I am ready to call it quits. I would rather be single for the rest of my life than to date some of the woman that are on this site. I keep hoping some young lady will prove me wrong about the woman in Maine. | |

Lonewolf seems to be a little disillusioned with the women from Maine. Maybe it's the age group. Most of the women I look at seem to be fairly literate. I admit I have seen a few who don't seem to have spell check but for the most part they seem pretty intelligent. I think more men don't bother to check their spelling than women.
When I first joined POF I was in the forums a lot but that was back before the state forums. I recently came back to POF and I am in hopes of meeting someone nice. Oh, and fun. LOL | |

You can count me in the edcuated, non drug user, single mother with a career, not sucking of the state group. I don't mind getting dirty though, so if ya want to take me "muddin" I'm in! | |

Wow, really? You think all women in Maine are uneducated? You should read some of the male profiles and stop generalizing.

I seem to always attract cheaters, drunks or drug users. And I am not any of those things. I can't just give up on the illusive thing we all want and that's love. | |

I tried contacting two or three men hoping to find someone just for company now and again who i could get to know before i came over.  No luck! have all the men gone to ground?Not looking for Marriage, sex etc just a day or night out for a meal, down the beach.Just friends.  | |
