Twenty-one consecutive victories is the current record set in 2006 by the Pats. Can they out do themselves in 2008?

At least being a Miami fan I can still hold on to the past now. Only team to go the entire season undefeated.

WHAT A WASTE OF A SEASON FOR THE PATS

Thats not nice,...LOL

Im not any kind of "Big Fan", of Sports,.....

But after finding out that the Owner of the New England Patriots paid for their Stadium,...I gave them respect for that.

Watching New England play such a Great Season this year,....I was hopeing they would win the Super Bowl.

Watching the game tonight,...I just felt like New England was having an off night,...

You can also say that The New York Giants,..were all over New England like stink on dog poo !

So,...New England has a track record to be proud of,....

But The Giants came out on top !

Both Teams deserve a lot of Respect.

Totally agree... and I'm a Pats fan.

Giants outplayed the Pats, and they deserve the victory.

.........for the Pats & fans, it is a painful loss you can never forget.......in an unforgettable season that had them 18-0 going into the SB!

......the only thing you can look back on is that the Pats were the best "regular season" team, and conference champs.

........to this day, the Dolphs still hold the all-perfect record!

Earth ing where are you now?

Kebro .......hello any body there?

Wizard of OZ what did you say?

Seems its over for your Pats..... I know its a tough loss. We did out play your team. it was a great game and your team looked like they could have pulled it off. Giants just played better!!!

All the stats and experts just could not see The Midnight blue defense!!!

And maybe the Giants have respect now and even have respect for ELI MANNING

I told you ..............Back to back Superbowls Manning brothers!

It was the best Superbowl ever!!!!!!

2001 was the best one...

And Belichick's best friend, videotape, may have had something to do with this. We'll have to await the Senate investigation into "Supergate". Interesting that former Pats video assistant, Matt Walsh, is coming out with this now. Walsh alleges the Pats illegally taped the Rams walk-thurs prior to the '01 Season SB; charges the Pats deny.

Now Brady and Moss are both skipping the Pro Bowl.

All things come to an end, perhaps the Giants win over the Pats has officially put an end to the Pats Dynasty. It will be interesting to see how the Pats come back from this next year.

No one is going to remember that they went undeafeted in the regular season 5 years from now, because they lost the Superbowl which means everything and if you can't win that game then everything you did pirror to that becomes meaningless.

^.............i differ with that!

.....they are still the team that had a "perfect" record going into the SB.....besides the dolphs, no one has come close........they'll best be remembered for their 'big disappointment'...in that they couldn't win it all.

..........the 1 thing that the Pats have shown is that they have "staying power".....by that i mean that they are not "fly-by-nites"..............i'm sure that we will see the likes of Brady in the fore-front again next year...............and if the Pats really learned their lesson, they will bone-up their defensive units next season!..........they relied too much on Brady!

.............the Giants had a memorable, magical season in beating the Pats ........but they now have to show that it wasn't a fluke.......they have to show their staying-power!!!

...........if they don't play their cards right!!......they might implode just like the 69' Jets did after their SB win!

Well I have to differ with the above post. The Giants will only get better. Eli is young and made it in the playoffs his first three years and won the Superbowl. The Giants are young and only will get better with age and unity of a team. Now Eli knows he can play well and under all kinds of pressures between the NY Media and Sports analysts and also the doubters. We will be in the playoffs next year.

Still none of that means much if you can't win the big one. going 16-0 in the regular season is great but if you can win the big one it becomes meaningless and that's how people will look at it aswell.

I mean how many people remember the awesome season of the 98 vikings team had and even thought they didn't win every game, they had one of the best seasons in nfl history and hardly anyone remembers it now.

The Patriots are going to be remembered as the best team ever existed next to the 72 Dolphins, 49ners, Steelers, and Cowboys.

The only thing the Giants are going to be remembered is Super Bowl Champions XLII. One time wonders....Next year the team to beat is still the Patriots. Giants don't strike any fear to their opponents. Nevertheless, this years SB belongs to the Giants they won it fair and square....enjoy it while you still can.

You think the Giants are one hit wonders? That's interesting.......

The patriots will be lucky if they get back to the Superbowl next year let alone the AFC Championship game. They got too many issues that they have to deal with in the off season. Their D is showing it's age for one, this years playoffs exsposed that clearly. Then if they sign Moss for what he wants ,that's going to open up a whole other set of issues in terms of the salary cap. Kind of hard to replace your aging D when you are capped out. Not to mention they lost their first round draft pick.

What is there to upgrade? This is a team went 16-0. You can't get better than that, maybe minor changes. However they will not sign Moss if its going to affect their salary cap. Moss will get a good contract if its with the Pats or with other team, but most likely he will stay with the Pats. We still have a 1st round pick from the 49ners, I think its 6th or 7th overall can't remember.

Wiz ..........Seems to me the Giants won three Superbowls just like the Patriots did!

And Eli has a lot of years left. Maybe the brothers will battle it out next year!

You say no one fears them .....hmmm

Next year they will all remember the Giants as Superbowl Champs that beat the undefeated team in the Superbowl and how they got there in there last 5 games ......I am sure of it.

Winning 18 games in a season is awesome, but beating that undefeated team in the Superbowl is Priceless!!!!

No one could beat the Pats except...................the New York Giants

Superbowl XLII Champions

Your right your math skills have improved, but the Giants are not in the same category as the Patriots when it comes to greatness.

You can dwell on your victory for the next 17 more years, because the Pats have already moved on to next year.

I am not so sure that is true. Seems Brady and Moss are taking it so bad, they are not going to the Pro bowl
