And the tin man and scarecrow. I am sure you still keep in touch with those Pat fans. So I guess me and the fish to you are dumb and dumber lol

Well not to hijack the thread. Whats going on with the Pats. I hear they let go of three players and Moss signed for one year. I think I saw today that Coughlin was handed a 4 year deal for $21,000,000.00

"Coughlin was handed a 4 year deal for $21,000,000.00"

Yep and by week 6 Giant fans will be crying for his termination.

"I will be keeping you in check like ol times."

We all knew who kept who in check, so please give it up.

Just to keep you updated Moss was sign for a 3 year deal with Patriots as we all knew he was going to stay with Pats.

"So I guess me and the fish to you are dumb and dumber"

These are facts....

Where does "Spygate" go from here? While Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter has called for the NFL to authorize an independent investigation - which is highly unlikely - the sounds of silence are being heard from his fellow lawmakers. Government involvement would seemingly be the next step to keep Spygate alive, but it doesn't appear as if there is any traction. "I don't think it's Congress's business, frankly," said Arizona Senator Jon Kyl, who sits on the 19-member Senate Judiciary Committee with Specter. "You might be able to find a rationale for it, but it's not the kind of thing we should be getting involved with." Kyl feels he has a strong background in the way the NFL conducts business. He worked with the league for years to pass legislation on unlawful Internet gambling. "I am fully aware of how seriously their desire is to keep clean," said Kyl. "In this case, I am assuming you have to give them the benefit of the doubt. They had an investigation on the matter and meted out punishment. I don't think anyone cares more about the viability of the sport than the commissioner. "To suggest Congress can do more than the NFL is probably not a good assumption." -- Boston Globe

How old is that article you copied and pasted, last year? Dumb you say hmmm........

Ryan from the Boston Globe today on ESPN sports said

"Belichick is compared to as Richard Nixon"

Belichick was caught in 2006 and then in the first game of 2007 he was caught again.
Now they are saying on ESPN that the "Dynasty is" that the Pats Cheated there way to success.

I just watch the news. Watch it yourself. Mr Wizard of OZ

Seems to me, how could Brady be so God like and win all those games ....... Is he immortal? I do not think so. Guess he knew something he might not like to discuss. Like signals of the opposing coaching staff on tapes he viewed from someone not in Patriot gear?

BOSTON -- New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick responded to the team's former video assistant Friday, saying in a televised interview that Matt Walsh was a low-level staffer who was fired for "poor job performance"

"There's not a lot of credibility," Belichick said in an interview broadcast on "CBS Evening News."

"You know, he's tried to make it seem like we're buddies, and belong to the same book club and all. That's really a long, long stretch."

Belichick acknowledged that he was wrong about NFL rules prohibiting filming opponents signals but insisted there was no intent to hide what he was doing.

"I made a mistake," he said in the interview. "I was wrong. I was wrong."

That rationale has already been rejected by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who fined the coach $500,000 and docked the Patriots $250,000 and its first-round draft pick.

"I didn't accept Bill Belichick's explanation for what happened," Goodell said Tuesday, "and I still don't to this day."

In an interview with HBO for "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel," Walsh dismissed Belichick's attempts to minimize the impact of the taping. Walsh told HBO he was coached on how to evade NFL rules, and that team officials instructed him on ways to avoid detection.

"When I was doing it, I understood what we were doing to be wrong," Walsh said. "Coach Belichick's explanation for having misinterpreted the rules, to me, that really didn't sound like taking responsibility for what we had done, especially considering the great lengths that we had gone through to hide what we were doing."

Belichick denied telling Walsh to hide what he was doing.

"You look at the tape. You see him filming the game," the coach told CBS. "You tell me how discrete it is."

Commissioner meets with Walsh

Belichick has said he didn't even know Walsh, who was fired for poor performance and for making a tape recording of a meeting with player personnel director Scott Pioli.

"For him to talk about game-planning and strategy and play-calling and how he advised coordinators, it's embarrassing; it's absurd," Belichick said. "He didn't have any knowledge of football. He was our third video assistant."

Belichick's comments came on the same day the Boston Herald printed a front-page apology by reporter John Tomase, who wrote on the day before New England's Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants this year that the Patriots had taped the St. Louis Rams' walk-through before the 2002 NFL title game.

Under the headline: "How it went wrong," Tomase wrote that he heard rumors the team's cheating was more widespread than the league had already acknowledged. But when he learned the team's video crew had been setting up equipment at the walk-through, he made a "devastating leap of logic," by assuming the camera was rolling.

"First and foremost, this is about a writer breaking one of the cardinal rules of journalism: I failed to keep challenging what I had been told," he said.

"I had repeatedly heard that this walkthrough had been taped, and from people I trusted. Eventually I accepted it as fact and stopped questioning the assertion."

Here are the games included in the tapes turned over by Matt Walsh to the NFL, according to a letter sent by Walsh's attorney, Michael Levy:

Tape 1: Signals vs. Miami (Sept. 25, 2000)
The tape is labeled Sept. 25, but the actual game was on Sept. 24. That day in Miami, the Patriots lost to the Dolphins, 10-3, and dropped to 0-4. New England also lost its season finale to Miami, 27-24, on Christmas Eve. The Patriots finished 5-11.

Tapes 2-3: Miami defensive and offensive signals (Oct. 7, 2001)
The Patriots lost 30-10 at Miami. The Pats gained 149 total yards and fell to 6-14 overall under Belichick. (They're 99-26 since.) In a Dec. 22 rematch, the Pats gained 313 yards and didn't commit a turnover, winning 20-13 to improve to 10-5. Miami had three turnovers.

Tape 4: Buffalo signal camera (Nov. 11, 2001)
The Patriots beat the Bills 21-11 to improve to 5-4. The Patriots were outgained in the game, 242-205. In the rematch at Buffalo on Dec. 16, the Pats won, 12-9, and outgained the Bills, 335-310.

Tape 5: Coaches' signals vs. Cleveland (Dec. 9, 2001)
The Patriots won 27-16. New England barely outgained the Browns, 290-277. The Browns, however, turned the ball over four times. The teams didn't play again until Oct. 26, 2003, when the Pats won 9-3.

Tapes 6-7: Signals vs. Pittsburgh (Jan. 27, 2002)
In the AFC Championship Game at Pittsburgh, the Patriots were nine-point underdogs, and Tom Brady was knocked out with an injured leg in the first half. However, Drew Bledsoe came in and led the Pats to a 24-17 win, thanks to a Troy Brown 55-yard TD punt return and a 60-yard return of a blocked FG for a TD. The Patriots intercepted Steelers QB Kordell Stewart three times, and Pittsburgh running backs were held to just 19 yards.

Tape 8: Third camera vs. San Diego (Sept. 29, 2002)
New England lost at San Diego 21-14, its first loss of the season after a 3-0 start. Despite the loss, the Pats outgained the Chargers, 440-342. New England didn't play San Diego again until Oct. 2, 2005 and lost, 41-17.

May 18 and yes dumb I say to you....

It is obvious you have forgottten how this conversation started....Let me refresh your slushed out brain.

I mentioned spygate is over and you brought up Belichick comments he had made several days. What does that hold against Belichick and how spygate will still be carried out? IT DOESN'T....DUH! Your comment made no sense. What I am trying to say to you? Is that the Commissioner Goodell has no intentions of going forward with the spygate....

NEW YORK (AP) - NFL commissioner Roger Goodell essentially declared an end to the case after a 3 1/2-hour meeting Tuesday with Walsh, who supplied the league with tapes of coaches' signals made by the Patriots. After meeting with Walsh later Tuesday, Sen. Arlen Specter called Wednesday for an independent investigation. The senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Specter criticized Goodell, saying he has made "ridiculous" assertions that wouldn't fly "in kindergarten."

The only person that wants a piece of the Patriots is Sen. Spector. However not too many lawmakers want to go forward with this because they don't care and the punishment has already been carried out. It is a NFL matter.

You ask me to keep up with news? Look in the mirror Senhora Crazy. You know the one you have copied and paste is actual last weeks news. Belichick made those comments on Friday in HBO. Stop recording the news and watching it two days later because puts you behind. Also copy and paste does work, but you have to read it too.

One more thing, Walsh made a comment to Goodell that there were others teams suspected of videotaping, but there hasn't been any proof. Be careful it could be your Giants. What name should we call Couglhin since we call Belichick, Belicheat? How about Caughtlin.

Sen. Arlen Specter said he won't bother to ask Congress to pursue the NFL's "Spygate" scandal and plans to look into another sports-related issue: public financing of stadiums. Specter, R-Pa., told the Daily News editorial board yesterday that "I've gone as far as I can," concerning allegations that the New England Patriots had taped opposing teams' defensive signals. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell fined Patriots coach Bill Belichick $500,000, the team $250,000 and took away a first-round draft choice. Specter, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has criticized Goodell's investigation and said he would like the league to conduct a more independent investigaton, much like Major League Baseball did with alleged steroid use by some players. Specter said he didn't call the matter before the Judiciary Committee because it already has "too much to do." And he said he's "not interested" in recent allegations made by former NBA referee Tim Donaghy that the league asked some refs to manipulate games to boost ratings or ticket sales. -- Philadelphia Daily News

Now here's a Senator that only had a personal agenda againsted the Patriots....Why hasn't he pursue the NBA? I'll tell you why? He's a jerk off....

Now Spygate is DIEGATE!!!!

You also tend to forget that there were other teams accused of doing it too. Although team names have not come forward to media, even the Commissioner has made this comment.
