Patriots release defensive back Andrews following assault charge NFL.com Wire Reports
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots released defensive back Willie Andrews on Tuesday, one day after he was arrested for allegedly pointing a handgun at his girlfriend's head.
Guess she really was a Giant fan and he just couldn't take it!
Now the Giants can have them both....

| New England Patriots 2007-2008 Posted: 7/4/2008 1:14:57 PM | The odds in Vegas are currently 15:1 that the Patriots can go undefeated again. Take in account that their schedule is actually more manageable than it was last year it might be possible, but doubt it. Last year was incredible and we probably won't see a team do this for a very long time.
Personally I do not care if they do or don't. I only want to see them win a Super Bowl.
|
| New England Patriots 2007-2008 Posted: 7/4/2008 2:05:08 PM | According to the Vegas insider.com
Patriots are 5/2 to win the Superbowl in 2008 3/2 to win AFC championship 1/8 to win AFC east
Not sure where you get your rubbish info:

| New England Patriots 2007-2008 Posted: 7/4/2008 4:16:24 PM | Hm mm so you are saying undefeated "is not winning the Super Bowl"? Oh that's right it happened already De-ja-vue I think that's what you call it. It must be hard for you having the same dream over and over again.
And where do you get those odds from? That New England Patriots have a 15 to 1 odds of being undefeated in the 2008 2009 season? I think those odds left out some zero's. More like 1500 to 1 to do it in 2008-2009 season. No way, no how going to happen again this year or any other year again. They had there chance and blew it.
I think you are reading old news Ms Wizard of OZ . When they the "Patsy's" where in last years paper. 15 to 1 in the 12th week maybe at that time being 12-0.
Keep dreaming | |

You "hmm mm" a lot....Whatever it is? Get it out of your mouth. I got it from msn.com....Not that I look into Vegas Insider nor do I care if they go undefeated. It's what it said....

| New England Patriots 2007-2008 Posted: 7/23/2008 3:09:45 PM | | Well the Patriots still haven't shut the door on Ty Law yet. I just read an article that it might be a possibility we could see Law back as a Patriot. I certainly wouldn't mind if he come backs since Samuel signed with the Eagles. Law still has some life in him.... | |

| New England Patriots 2007-2008 Posted: 7/24/2008 6:31:09 AM | Boston Globe has reported the Patriots have finally come to an agreement with 1st rounder Jerod Mayo.
This guy is very smart and athletic. I have a feeling Mayo is going to be very good and do some serious hurting on opponents.

Lamont Jordan to the Pats, very interesting move...
A surprising move....6 RB for one team is way too much. It looks like there is going to be some competing about to take place.
Kyle Eckel Heath Evans Kevin Faulk LaMont Jordan Laurence Maroney Sammy Morris
Belichick saw something he doesn't like....I wonder which one is the weakest link. I would hate to see any of them go.

| New England Patriots 2008-2009 Posted: 8/7/2008 10:31:49 AM | Tonight, the Patriots play the Ravens in their first preseason game....
Key players I am interested in seeing,
Jerod Mayo- The NFL has labeled him to be a very smart player and very athletic. I watched some highlights and he moves like Tedy, but faster.
Lamont Jordon- I'm just curious to see if he even makes the cut.
Chad Jackson- I haven't see this guy do anything since he has been with the Patriots due to injury. This year I think there are a lot of expectations. It's going to make him or break him.
Sammy Morris- He had a good start last year and then he got hurt. Hopefully he still has it.
Brandon Meriweather- I've been told the Patriots were going to move him around from Safety to CB since Samuel exited. I wondering if the Patriots are planning to do that tonight.
Terrence Wheatley- A rookie and another CB, I heard this guy is fast.
Matt Cassel- He better be good, he is Brady's backup.

Wiz I thought you said ; "Meaningless" and you didn't care about preseason
It is.... If you read my post, which you didn't. I was mentioning how I would like to see these players perform. I don't care if we win or lose.

I don't care if we win or lose. The Baltimore Ravens have just defeated the New England Patriots 16 to 13 at Gillette Stadium Do you still care if the team Whens*
|
| New England Patriots 2008-2009 Posted: 8/8/2008 3:00:30 PM | I have to say some of these players really upset me in how they performed. I expected to see something good at of it. However others did surprise and so far it looks those may be sticking around.
The good:
Jerod Mayo played fairly good and smart. He made some real good decisions on the field and knew his surroundings. This guy is going to be something special if he keeps it up.
Lamont Jordon still has a job with Patriots finished off with 76 yards rushing. Still early to say for Jordon, but I think he is very motivated to be a Patriot.
Brandon Meriweather finished off with 3 tackles, but I didn't see Belichick switch him around from safety to CB. Maybe next game....It doesn't really matter anyway.
I'm quite impress with Matt Gutierrez playing QB. Eventhough he had one INT and a lost fumble, he managed show that he can play.
The bad:
Matt Cassel really sucked last night. This guy has been a Patriot for 4 years now and I would think he would have it figured out by now. I don't think he is going to make the cut if he keeps it up.
Chad Jackson, another player who blew it. A lot of passes were thrown towards him and it was either he dropped or did not run his route well. I think Belichick is going to keep him little longer to see, but if no improvements watch him get traded. I don't think he'll get released because I know other teams would be interested in him.
Overall we still need some work....The Patriots defense played well, but offense needs some work.
